Best breakfast I've had in twenty years. Being celiac, I generally opt for eggs or omelettes, but their menu is gluten-free adaptable. The lemon mascarpone pancakes were perfect, served with a full cup of fresh blueberries and real VT maple syrup. The generous side of bacon was perfectly crisped. The Flat White was as good as any I've had in Sydney, Australia. Wait staff was cordial & attentive. Several people were working with laptops or having small meetings, so the locals definitely like this place. It WILL be my go-to breakfast spot & I can't wait to try brunch. read more

Ultimately, while it was decent, I don't think I'll be back. $34 for two for breakfast is not totally unreasonable BUT for that price you shouldn't have counter service. We tried a choirizo omelette and the open faced blt breakfast sandwich with a side if red potatoes. The potatoes were a dud.. Not crispy or browned like I'd want. Sandwich and omelette were good. When the waitress delivered the food she asked if she could get us anything and I said ketchup. She said oh is over there and pointed clear across the place. She must have read my "you just asked.." look and said "oh I'll get it" strange. read more

What a hidden gem, I loved the atmosphere here. Parking was tricky as I drove by the place a few times, although once inside it's very spacious and the staff is super kind and hospitable. The food took about 15 minutes to cook - my friend and I both got quesadillas. It's full service after you order, so you can make yourself comfortable on either the comfier seating or the booth seating. Both options had a nice view of people walking their dogs or driving through Groton town center. The portions were superb for just a $10 lunch, and we were both shocked by how nicely it was presented. You should not miss this place if you pull into town and need a quick bite. read more

The food here is Tremendous!! The balance of flavors, portion, presentation and the adventurous spins on familiar classics is fully appreciated by my whole being. Great little breakfast/brunch spot in Groton. Cute downtown with street parking. You grab a menu off the wall as you walk in and pick a table of your choice. Order at the counter, sit back down and your food is brought to you at your seat, fairly quickly I might add. We went with 5 adults and 3 kids around 10:30 on a Saturday and there was plenty of seating for us at one of their larger tables. Food was great, I got the fall veggie/goat cheese scramble with home fries and it was delicious and fresh. My husband got a brisket breakfast burrito and loved it. Their pancakes and espresso drinks were great as well. Prices were also very reasonable for the quality and portions. My only gripe was the staff. While they were polite and attentive, no one smiled or seemed happy to be there! This would not stop me from returning though. A must try if you are in Groton during the morning hours. read more

Would be good to have a couple simple items for picky kids (plain grilled cheese, simple cheese omelette) but we get by. When it first opened it didn't have great ventilation so you came home smelling like breakfast but that was fixed long ago. What a lovely place! Went here for breakfast with my in-laws and children. As a group, we can all take up a lot of energy in the room. The staff was extremely gracious and patient with all of us. The atmosphere is very attractive--modern, yet conscious of its colonial surroundings. And last but not least, the food. One can just go get a coffee and a scone, or get a full breakfast such as a kale omelette, ricotta and lemon pancakes, or toast and avocado with egg. Every one of us loved our meal. I went for breakfast and ordered a chorizo omelette, it was quite good. The egg part was flat, rather than fluffy. Nicely seasoned, moderately filled with chorizo and the other stuff. Came with an option of home fries or greens. I had the potatoes, which I enjoyed. No toast comes with the omelette. Good coffee, but served in a paper cup if you want a large. It's a quaint little place, nice tables on one side and a cozier more lounge-y area on the other side. The service is always great and the food is outstanding. Finally got a chance to eat here this morning, and loved it! We got in just under the wire (10:30am) for breakfast. I ordered a sausage, egg, and cheddar sandwich with a side of potatoes. My husband got the open faced BLT. The potato portion was big enough to split, esp bc husband's sandwich was so large. Potatoes were great, but included lots of pepper and onion - which I love, but a heads up if you dont. For drinks, we had iced coffee and hot tea. We loved everything across the board. Husband really loved the coffee. We ordered at counter and stayed in on cafe side. Service was friendly and attentive. Looking forward to stopping in after yoga more often! read more

The Apple Braised Pork Hash is one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. For those familiar with the prior Main St. Cafe, the interior is similar with a coffee menu and a few pasties on display and a small storage/kitchen space behind. Do not rely on what you see, appearances are deceiving. Do not be fooled into thinking that the food is incidental. This is NOT just a coffee spot with a couple of required breakfast/sandwiches options to accompany the coffee. Although the atmosphere is coffee shop like, the menu shows the true breadth of their offerings. The food is done with care and attention. Like I said at the beginning, I was pleasantly surprised how good it was given that the vibe is not at all about the food.
