This shop is appointment only, but I needed my nails done while in town on short notice and I walked right in the shop and I got serviced for a full set very nice staff and my nails came out nice shaping is good and my nails feel very light

Every time I come to town from LA, I get my nails done by Nancy. She's great at picking the right colors. I can show her some obscure object and say I want my nails to be this color and she finds it. Both my mom and my sister go to Nancy.

I broke a nail at work and found Nail and Spa Depot on Yelp with great reviews. I have been trying out a couple nail salons and thought to give this place a try. I scheduled an appointment and went in with the badly done gel acrylics that I had gotten elsewhere. Tam fixed my nails and showed me the beautiful world of powder dipping. I'm new to getting my nails done and I really appreciated the honesty and education I got about gels vs powder dipped. Powder is the way to go! I'm already planning to come back here in a month to get them filled :) Thank you Tam!

I What's so pleasantly surprised when I visited this salon! Complimentary wine glass to boot. My toes came out perfect and have lasted 3 weeks now it's now! Never had a gel pedicure before and I am in love! They are all friendly attentive and very courteous... I got a great massage too! A nice change of pace from some of the salons I've been to lately!! Wow. TAM is incredible. He's fast and a perfectionist. This shop is a gem. I wish I could take Tam with me :(. He's been doing nails for 19 years and this guy knows his stuff. lol. He can do 7 colors on one nail!! He mostly works with dip. Doesn't do acrylics. But he said he can do ANY SHAPE! The shop had a variety of colors.. I'm so glad I found this shop. I opted with a pink/peachy dip powder... loved it. Very clean shop and absolutely awesome customer service. I'm coming back TAM!!!

It's been a really long time since I've gotten a Mani and Pedi (as I'm sure others too!) so I wanted to make it special by getting gel for the first time! Not only did I love how quick it was for the drying time, but I really love how the nail design turned out! This is the fanciest my nails ever looked and I'm really happy with them! Girls! Let me tell you! This place is a HIDDEN GEM! I always drove past it & never went in due to the outer appearance but do not let that fool you. I have found my go-to spot. If I could give them 10 stars I would! The atmosphere was wonderful. I came and got a pedicure with my mom and brother, these people are extremely pleasant and I would recommend them to ANYONE local. I wish I was from around here because this would be my go-to place EVERY time. Beyond pleased with their service and the conversation, this is genuinely the best nail place I've ever been to. Just really did not like this place. They were not friendly at all. First thing when you walk in is not a hello or anything pleasant... just "Do you have an appointment?" Which I did and they still were not nice. Then they put my feet in cold water and I had to ask 2 times to make it warmer and it just went downhill from there. She even cut my skin to the point of blood and didn't even apologize. Would not recommend! read more

I called maybe 2hrs before to see if there was an appointment available. The gentleman who answered said come after 5pm. I got there 5min before 5, Nancy was the one who greeted me and said, I must have it at 5:15, I then saw there was a sign that says, Cash only. So I said well, are you only taking cash because I have none. She said if I have Venmo I could pay that ways so I said cool, (I wasn't in a rush) and used the bathroom before I waited outside because COVID. She came to get me and said she was ready. She was patient with my indecisiveness of wanting gel or regular polish. I will be driving to Arroyo Grande for my next pedi :) I'd show my feet but, ya know people buy those and I have cute toes read more

Dip powder set with length. $65 I don't know why I haven't came here before. I've grown up on the coast. And just now discovered this gem. Dip powder is so much better than acrylic in my opinion. It feels so much lighter, your nails feel less sore, and simply put it just feels like my own natural nails. They don't look as bulky as acrylic. He did a fantastic job! Really took his time to make sure I was happy with the shape, color, etc. Not to mention he is very knowledgeable and can answer any questions or concerns. Very friendly and passionate about his nail skills. This was my first time trying dip powder, I usually stick to gel or acrylic on special occasions. I am obsessed and I'm never going back to acrylic. Acrylic totally ruined my natural nails last time I got them. They usually only have two people working so make sure you call and make an appointment. Go support! They deserve it read more

Update: Since that review, I have stopped having my nails done here. While there one day, my now husband came to visit. While he was standing there talking to me, Tam started clearly making fun of him, with Christine, in broken English. I was absolutely mortified and angry. He made fun of his looks, how he dresses, etc. No matter how well he does nails, his has no class or character. I will never go back. read more

I have to let others know this about this place, I had appointment and I got locked out of my house so I called 1hour before my appointment to notify and hopefully reschedule. The owner told me I would have to pay a $15 charge for not canceling 3hours before my appointment, It's not like I was going to happy hour I was in a crisis! I never signed a contract with them and had never been told their policy when I make appointments or pay them cash with a tip. I have seen him be really rude to other customers and knew my day would come. The wife does a excellent job. I have been going to this place for about a year now and love it! The personalized service- they dont cram you in and promise a 10 minute wait time only to leave you there for much longer. N&SD manage their schedule well, they take care of you and dont rush it, they pay attention to detail and not only do the job eight, but my nails last forever it seems. The products they use -only SNS as they dont use acrylic- is top notch. I have only ever broken 1 nail in all my time coming here. They are a small staff so best to be on appointment, but they take in walk ins too. Tam does beautiful job on my nails and his pedicure staff just as caring! read more

Showed up at 3 pm for an appointment for 2 pedicures. All of the chairs were full, which was an…read moreinitial red flag. We asked how long, they said "5 minutes". Okay fine. By the time we were seated it was pushing 3:20. One person started working on my feet, while the person I was there with just sat in the chair. Another 20 minutes goes by and no one had even come over to help. The person doing my toes went off to help someone with a transaction. In that time 3 more people came in for appointments, still with no one to help them. At that point we decided to cut our losses and leave. So we spent 40 minutes doing nothing. I got my toe nail polish off and toenails trimmed, that's it. The person I went with had no service done at all. No one really seemed to care that we weren't being helped or that we walked out. The person doing my toes did apologize but otherwise it felt like they didn't care and they had put us in the chairs only to keep us there not to serve us. I'm incredibly disappointed as I've had great experiences here before, but being treated that way, with an appointment is unacceptable. If you didn't have enough people to serve us, tell us that. Let me start out by saying I was on vacation in Pismo when I decided to get my nails done. My toe…read morenails were getting long and my fingernails were snagging on everything. I walked in and asked if they had time for a mani - pedi, "oh yes... pick your color". I then decided as I was sitting in the chair for my feet that I would just go ahead and ask if I could get a full set on my nails. Why not? I'm on vacation. When i mentioned my change in plans I was told there was only 1 person that could do a full set. And she was booked for the next 2 hours. Maybe I could come back in 2-3 hours or tomorrow? Uh. N O ... This was disappointing. So now I sit in the chair knowing I'm only going to get half of what I really want. I'm a tad annoyed, but try to enjoy my pedicure. My big toe has a tip and acrylic on it as I wear boots for work and the nail was halfway through the process of growing back from falling off. I asked the tech if she could file it and fill it and she chose to do what she wanted to do, file it and paint it. There was no fill. What the....?? Anyways, my nails are now drying and in comes 4 more people. More pedicures and more waiting. 45 minutes later I'm still sitting there apparently waiting for my nails to dry and nothing being done to my fingernails as there aren't any additional techs to do it. Finally I apologize for interrupting my neighbor's services and tell the tech I am done sitting there and express that surely my nails are more than dry. I get up, pay for my services and am asked if I have cash.... No. I don't carry cash, most people don't carry cash and a lot of places outside of nail salons don't want cash. Oh and by the way, i'm tipping on the card. Just ring me up so I can leave. This event that was supposed to be relaxing has turned out to be more of an annoyance than anything. I was not fully satisfied with my service and I don't think I'll go to this establishment again. Needless to say, I went to Rite Aid next door and bought a nail file, nail clippers, fingernail polish and did my own damn nails. With that said, I will give myself 5 stars for keeping my cool, rolling with what cards I have been dealt and possibly saving myself $50.

But these 3 are who are keeping us regular. My daughter is 9, and they treat her like she is just as important as any other paying customer! Please watch out for a nail tech named "Jenny" (might be Joy as she was referred to by both names). She was so rude to me and my daughter. I tried to explain what my daughter wanted to do long-term for her nails (grow them out) and she snapped at me twice "I know how to do nails." My daughter said she was rough with her hands and hurt her fingers. Then once she was finished she removed her apron and walked away. My daughter had no idea if she had done something wrong or if her service was finished. Once we let the front desk know, they quickly moved into action, apologized to us, treated her like an actual customer, and resolved the whole experience. But I don't feel right about not telling people to avoid her. It is apparently not the first complaint. Had I not had the resolution I had, or the previous experiences with the 3 I mentioned, I would have never come back. Ask for Tiffani or Angela for a great experience! Thank you Michael's Nails for treating us with incredible customer service.

By the time we were seated it was pushing 3:20. One person started working on my feet, while the person I was there with just sat in the chair. Another 20 minutes goes by and no one had even come over to help. The person doing my toes went off to help someone with a transaction. In that time 3 more people came in for appointments, still with no one to help them. At that point we decided to cut our losses and leave. So we spent 40 minutes doing nothing. I got my toe nail polish off and toenails trimmed, that's it. The person I went with had no service done at all. No one really seemed to care that we weren't being helped or that we walked out. The person doing my toes did apologize but otherwise it felt like they didn't care and they had put us in the chairs only to keep us there not to serve us. I'm incredibly disappointed as I've had great experiences here before, but being treated that way, with an appointment is unacceptable. If you didn't have enough people to serve us, tell us that. I would have happily come later in the day or at a different time instead of being treated like that. Unfortunately we won't be returning.

I have recently started going to the Nail Depot. I LOVE IT! Very clean, neat and cheerful place with nice peaceful music playing. Christine is FANTASTIC!! She does a fantastic job on my gel manicures, she puts the polish on just right without getting it too thick like I have had before elsewhere, she files it to the exact shape I like, she is sweet, polite, friendly and cheerful. She gives a great massage on a pedicure and does a good pedicure too. She has attention to detail, takes pride in her work, and remembers your name even though you haven't been coming too long like me. I like Tam too who runs the shop.. It is close to home for me as well, I can even walk, no more driving to SLO. Pam G read more

It's been two years since my last review of Nail Spa Depot and about a year since my nails have looked nice. A combination of neglect and installing drought-tolerant landscaping (rocks!) in my yard had resulted in fingernails that were short, splitting, and painful. I had an important event coming up and I knew who could save me - Tim at Nail Spa Depot! Now my hands look as though they belong to a lady of leisure, with a pink and white gel so expertly done that you can't see the damage underneath. The quality of the workmanship is still excellent, and everyone is still as friendly as ever. read more

I got my nails done here two days ago I came in right when they opened and I just got plain and simple French tip acrylics set I even got gel. I did pay a fair price of $35 for my nails but you pay for what you get and it was cheap and it was clearly cheap nails my nails fell off the next day except for two of them and saw how to get my nails redone the next day and a different salon it was very crappy and the guy even glued my nails on wrong and I had to have them redo them and he acted smart with me when I asked him if he could reglue them. read more

I have been going to Nail and Spa Depot for many years. During that time I have tried other nail salons locally and when traveling. My nails are dry and tend to split. Tim's gel technique is far and away the best I have found anywhere and he keeps my nails in healthy condition and looking flawless. Christine gives a thoroughly relaxing spa pedicure. She pays attention to every detail that keeps my feet free of potential toenail problems, comfortable in closed toe shoes and looking great when I wearing sandals. read more

I'm very particular with pedicures. I don't like being rushed and having lotion slapped on legs done in 10mins. They have different menu options to meet you foot needs. Use high quality products. I received the "olive oil classic" 40mins pedicure with a scrub that soaked in legs for 10mins infused with olive oil, hot stones & massage to die for. $36 and worth every penny!! I highly recommend this spa and will be back monthly! Tam is amazing! read more

I'm from Fresno, CA and was on vacation and needed to get my nails done, so I decided to give this place a try since it had great reviews online. Tam helped me out and I was EXTREMELY satisfied! I wanted to do a fill with the coffin shape and he did a great job. My nails were not done correctly before here in Fresno, but he definitely fixed them for me. I highly recommend this nail salon. 55 for acrylics ! Not bad for what you get here takes his time. Every time I would get my nails done at another nail salon they would always make them too thick. The guy who did my nails is also really nice and friendly . Also the inside is small but it's really tidy and relaxing. read more
