The snickers and chocolate almond poppyseed were just too sweet for my tastes- the almond extract in the poppyseed muffin was overpowering. They do have a bathroom for customers, an area to sit and eat plus a bunch of wine and other items for sale. We got a punch card- 12 muffins purchased gives you a free muffin. Not sure if we will be back that way but figured we were almost halfway to getting that free muffin so why not!

There's no shade, I think I could see people getting sunburnt in the hour that I was there. I ordered a dozen shucker's choice oysters and received an assortment of 3 different types. It's pretty amazing the difference in taste across the different oysters. They were great! Super fresh and served with a couple wedges of lemon and mignonette. A little different than the way they're served on the opposite coast (typically lemon, cocktail sauce, horseradish, and mignonette. Several of the oysters were pretty large and took some chewing to get through. I paired them with a nice glass of gruner veltliner. Great spot, I'd definitely return.

Driving into town this is the first thing we see- a sign offering free samples. Heck yeah, we're…read moregoing. We walked in and there were tons of salmon products, along with candy and other foodie items that we tourists crave. We got a couple of samples then chose bags of salmon candy. We left, got to our hotel and saw a card on the card rack saying that if you turn it in to Sea Bear, you get a free item and a souvenir picture. Wo we went back to Sea bear to get everything we had coming. Because we bought so much the first time, we got a free bag of salmon jerky. Then the cashier showed us the background for the photo, had us put on fisherman jackets, and she rolled out a real gigantic fish. We were all delighted taking pictures. My SIL put it on her Facebook and everyone was convinced they'd caught the fish. Sh e didn't correct them, lol. My niece of course had to have the fish shaped chocolate and I needed my stickers, so this was a one stop souvenir place for us and they got another sale from us, which was fine by us, since we had such a fun time.

The ambiance here is dark and elegant - not something I necessarily expect in Anacortes, but it set the perfect tone for a special evening. Our server, Aimee, who I knew from local Yelp events years ago, was absolutely fantastic. She knew everything on the menu, and by the time she described everything we asked about, we had trouble not ordering it all. But first, we started with a bottle of perfectly chilled sauv blanc while we perused the menu. I was impressed by the varied selection of food. They have everything from burgers to ribeye, and all very fairly priced. We started with an order of calamari, perfectly fried and served with a citrussy, aioli-style sauce. For dinner, Dude loved their fish 'n chips while I devoured a plate of fresh king salmon served atop crispy risotto and the most amazing pesto lemon cream sauce. After we enjoyed sharing a dish of tasty creme brulee, Aimee shared that they serve brunch here too! I had no idea, but looking at the menu and hearing that they serve mimosas, we'll definitely be back.
