We were walking around when the beautiful outdoor seating caught our attention and basically pulled us in! We later realized the restaurant was actually part of a hotel, which we had no idea about when we stopped. The setting was definitely the star for us. The outdoor area is beautiful and inviting, and we honestly found ourselves more mesmerized by the surroundings than the food. But the service... absolutely everything! Emilio was wonderful! He was welcoming, knowledgeable, and, most importantly, honest about the menu. We really appreciated that he didn't just try to sell us on everything. He listened to what we liked and guided us toward what he thought we would actually enjoy. The food itself was okay. Nothing we tried particularly blew us away, but the menu is pretty varied, and there were definitely other dishes that caught our attention. Would I come back? I actually wouldn't mind! Between the beautiful setting, the atmosphere, and Emilio's excellent service, I'd happily return and explore more of the menu. It's connected to a hotel, so it definitely has a bit of a hotel-restaurant feel, but the food was good, prices were moderate, and the service was really quick. I had the Coco Chanel cocktail, which was delicious and a fun start to dinner. We shared the flaming cheese with pita--definitely the highlight! Yummy and fun with the tableside flames. I had the crab cakes, which were decent, and my husband had the chicken avocado wrap, which he enjoyed. I was in Miami for business and out with coworkers for dinner, party of six. They didn't have a wait to seat but overall the experience was lacking for the following reasons: I asked for a beer on tap, they only had bottles but also their fridge was broken so all beers were warm....strike 1. I ordered the lobster roll but am trying to watch the extras, no substitution for the fries, even though it was just to veggies that they probably already had available. The lobster portion was very, very small for the price...stike two. We tried to split the check, the could only do four ways for six. Honestly if we came there separately they would charge separately....strike three. Not very friendly on the service....you're out. I guess this is a standard in Miami but accommodate your guests when they are not asking for something reasonable. read more

Menu is small but doable. Friend had the avocado toast and a nice change to just avocado toast was it came with 2 poached eggs and smoked salmon. My other friend had the mahi with vegetables. My best friend searched hard for a vegetarian friendly place. We finally narrowed it down to two but we went with this place, in trust of my fellow yelpers. They did not disappoint. The mash potatoes were the creamiest, softest mashed potato's I've ever had in my life. It lacked seasoning, is my only complain. The steak I asked for medium and medium is what I got. It looks smaller than it actually was. I couldn't even finish it. It was just right! Almost forgot, my friends fries were just delicious. The best descriptive word would be AIRY! You can taste the clean oil, in a good way. She said her wrap was yummy and filling for sure. She could only finish half. The server/host was very attentive. I didn't have to ask for anything. He even brought salt, pepper, and A1; like as if he read my mind. We sat outside and it was so beautiful, perfect for instagram friendly pictures! We meant to go for brunch, but missed it. I really enjoyed this spot! The staff was so friendly and attentive! I was in town for business, and Salt Cafe was located near the hotel, so we walked over. It's a quaint, nicely decorated spot with amazing outside seating. We sat outside both times that we came -- we didn't even realize it was so big and extended to the inside part. The food was great! We ordered just a few things. The wings, burger, fries, drinks -- but all were seasoned really nicely. I would definitely recommend trying this spot out. They have a DJ and play upbeat music. They also were well decorated for Halloween. The drinks were not great. I had an espresso martini to perk me up and my friend had a tequila soda. Mine was way too sweet and hers was too strong. We were just hanging out, so we order some starters and hookah. The hookah was great and there was an attendant who came around adjusting coals and asking how it was. The food was also good. We got the fried cheese (come on, you can't go wrong with cheese!) and a Mediterranean platter. The unfortunate part is that we barely saw our waiter after placing our order. I felt like he had forgetten us, and then we realized, when we wanted him we had to get up and signal. This place could be pretty great.
