We are so excited to have tacos this good in our neighborhood! We were blown away at the deep and authentic flavor. This is the closest thing I've found to real Mexican flavor in Salt Lake Valley. They were slammed, but the staff was working very systematically, they were friendly, and you could tell everyone who came to try it out was having a great time and loved their food. The carne asada was thick and the smokey flavor permeated the meat. The pollo asado tacos were hearty and felt great to eat. They've got a fun but appropriate lineup of sauces. Mui impresionanté! Taco shells were fresh fried. All food prepared on the premises. I had three tacos. Al Pastor was delicious. The pork was tender and perfectly seasoned. Pineapple was lightly grilled and an exclamation point to the taco. Grilled shrimp in the Camaron were excellent. Chipotle sauce was a highlight. Baja Taco made me want more. Battered fish was slightly crunch and filled the taco. Churros were hot and crunchy. The sense I had them fresh in Tijuana. Mar y Tierra burrito was large and filled with steak and shrimp. The food is AWESOME!!! Clean restaurant and friendly service! Of course I had to try multiple different tacos and loved them all! the Baja (breaded and fried fish) is possibly my favorite; but the Al Pastor, Cameron (spicy shrimp), and Carne Asada are all delicious! You can taste the real wood fire on the Carne Asada; and if you still have room for more??? You have to try the Churros! And they have ALL kinds of ice cream bars! We are huge fans of Salt City Tacos. It reminds us so much of The Taco Stand in CA. So so yummy. My kids love the branding, the restaurant has a good vibe and is super clean. Service is fast, we get our food within 5-10 minutes. The tacos are amazing, my favorite is the carne asada. Make sure to grab the cilantro lime ranch sauce and just put it on whatever you get. My husband has come back 3 times for their California burrito. The churros are some of the best I've ever had. A must stop for any Mexican lovers. read more

There are many taco places in SLC and at $4.99 to $3.99 a taco I was skeptical.... until I ate. I tried 3 tacos, Carne Asada, Pollo Asado and Al Pastor. each taco was absolutely delicious! The Carne Asada was tender and the salsa verde was a perfect addition. The Pollo Asado was perfect with the cilantro salsa. The Al Pastor was crazy work with the pineapple, but it worked! This test run cost $14.72 for 3 tacos. Was it worth it? Absolutely! I'll be trying the Burritos next! Stay tuned! read more

Salt City was great! walked in and was immediately greeted. The dining area was clean and tidy, the ambiance is very tasteful and rustic. Everything was clean and organized. We ordered 2 carne asada tacos and the asada quesadilla, the meat was juicy and well marinated! not over cooked and paired per with the other ingredients. Portions were great for the prices. Tacos tasted great! I had a carne asada, pollo asado, and pescado taco and they all tasted great. Fresh guacamole on top of the tacos and a little bit of melted cheese on the tortillas added to the flavor. I had the corn tortillas but next time I'll try the flour tortillas instead. read more

I've now been here twice and both times the food and service have been excellent. The California burrito is awesome! I also feel like the prices are super fair for how much food you get. My kids shared the pollo asado quesadilla and got paletas the second time. They also loved it! read more

We tried a variety of tacos and some fries. The tortillas were so yummy and fresh. My daughter's favorite was the pastor. I could have eaten 3 of the grilled fish and the sauce was so good. Everyone was so nice and helpful. So glad to have Salt City Tacos in Herriman. read more
