Salsa Leedos is one of my family's go to Mexican places! We've been coming here for years and love it! It's more of your American style Mexican food, but always hits the spot. I always get a plain bean & cheese burrito, the burrito is huge! My family gets enchiladas, tacos, chimichangas and more. We've never had something we didn't like. I keep trying hard to find my next favorite Mexican spot so we drove up here to try this place out. It's got a cute outdoor vibe and patio which we took advantage of. Some outdoor games to play with the kids while you're waiting along with multiple tv's. Misters too for those hot days. Service was excellent at first but then died down and she let forgetting things like a side of ranch fir my daughters fries, and we wanted a second margarita but by the time she came back we were full and ready for to-go boxes. The carne asada is acid we're alright. I did enjoy the beans on the side. My husband scarfed down is carne asada burrito. My daughter barely ate her food. But that's pretty standard unless it's amazing. The cups and salsa didn't taste fresh or authentic or anything. I love good fresh chips and salsa but this tasted like a warehouse type brand. I won't be back to this location but they are opening up one in Draper and I may possibly give it a shot who knows. read more

Salsa Leedos was the perfect spot for our large lunchtime group, and I was impressed they seated all 12 of us right away without a reservation. The vibe inside is exactly what you want from a Mexican restaurant--casual, colorful, and inviting--with plenty of parking to make the visit easy. I ordered a cheese enchilada with red sauce, a sweet pork enchilada and a chile relleno topped with their creamy queso sauce, which was phenomenal and easily the highlight of the meal. Everything came out hot, flavorful, and generously portioned, and that queso sauce is something I'd happily put on every dish next time. Our server was fantastic, staying attentive to a big group without missing a beat, and even the lemonades were refreshingly tasty. Can't believe I haven't written a review for Salsa Leedos yet! I have been here numerous times and never disappoints. Great Mexican m/American style place with great service. If you read my reviews on Mexican joints I always start with chips and salsa. Not homemade but great warm chips and outstanding salsa with a little kick. Food is always good and today I had the keto combo fajitas with chicken and steak smothered in queso. Very tasty dish with a side of their chipotle sauce. Huge plate of food and could not finish it all. Great flavors and well seasoned. The extra star today was for our server Daniel. What an outstanding young man that is a true asset to this place. First off, they have a very friendly staff. Our waitress seemed to have a bit of a crusty attitude at first but then was very nice and attentive to our bigger group we had there. I had the Burleedo. If you haven't been to Salsa Leedos, it is quite literally my favorite Mexican Restaurant in Utah. I do have a close second, but it is downtown. I live in Saratoga Springs it seriously is my go to. The service is always nice, if you want it, you get it. This may not be a fan favorite but I love that they have ground beef. They have all the other favorites are still available but if you go to Mexico you are getting fish, ground beef or chicken. I know there are all the up and in your face brisket, carne asada, etc, and you can get it but if you want the real deal it's here. They have a patio and indoor dining. It is not loud it's nice. You can have fun, yet enjoy your meal. Did I mention they have corona margaritas? They are epic. But they do have wine and a full bar. This is a very cute restaurant. It's decorated nicely and it's fairly quiet so we could talk with each other easily. The staff was very nice and helpful. All of our food was really good. Our waiter did kind of disappear for a little bit towards the end of our meal, but he did circle back around with drinks. it is definitely someplace we will be coming back too. read more

I took my two boys to lunch at salsa Leedos, and we had a great time! Not only was the food amazing, but they had fun games for my teenage boys to play outside. The misters kept us nice and cool during our summer lunch, as well. Don't pass on the fried ice cream! It was delicious. read more

Last year for my companies Christmas party we had the best experience here. My husband and I loved the food and went back up for 2nds and 3rds. This week we were in the area and wanted to try it again. The restaurant is fun and decorated with style. We went for lunch and we're seated right away with friendly faces and a really nice server. I couldn't decided what to order at first and asked to sample the Chile verde, our server obliged, and I gave it a try. It was pretty good and my husband decided he would get that on his burrito. I decided to play it safe and go with a salad and cheese enchiladas. Our food came out moments after the order was placed. Most would be excited about this but this made me think the food was not fresh and just sitting in the back. The cheese in my enchilada was gloppy, rice mushy, and nothing was very hot. I was pretty disappointment and couldn't finish my meal. I hoped that bringing it home and trying it again would make me feel different but I couldn't bring myself to eat it. Restaurant is very cute and has a nice vibe. Nice bar area. They immediately bring you chips and salsa. The salsa is pretty mild, on the sweet side. If you're someone who doesn't like any heat, you will think it's a bit spicy. Has lots of green onion in it. My husband ordered the bean and cheese burrito. It was about 14 inches and comes smothered in enchilada sauce and cheese. He really likes it. I ordered the chili Rellano combo. Rice and beans were okay, they just needed salt and pepper. We've eaten there a few times for dinner and lunch and all in all it was pretty good. We went for brunch this morning on Sunday and man what a disappointment. Also if a lace charges extra for guacamole it should be more portion wise than the size of a quarter at best and browning . It lacked any flavor. Yes! I was trying to cover up the taste of the gross chimi. I was thankful for the chips and salsa before dinner because otherwise I would have been very hungry due to leaving my entire entree at the table. You would think a server would ask me if something was wrong but she clearly uninterested. Do yourselves a favor and skip this place. Like for real. Salsa Ledos has a good atmosphere. Kimmie gave fantastic service, she was so attentive and very sweet. I just felt like the food was kinda bland? It was definitely Americanized Mexican food. The soup and salad was great. The burrito was literally just meat and tortilla, which my husband didn't like. The margarita tasted like just margarita mix, nothing original or special. Driving up to Salsa Leedos we were pretty excited to eat some good Mexican food! The decor outside is interesting. Some of it seems outdated. There were plenty of parking spots. The lady inside the restaurant who sat us at our table gave us menus but it wasn't until our waitress came that we actually got the lunch menu which was helpful to see the lunch specials. Our waitress was nice and the chips and salsa were good. It wasn't too busy for lunch today and it was a good spot to sit, eat, and chat. I got the Leedos combination plate which seemed like a good choice but wow was I disappointed by the taste! It looked good but it was seriously lacking in flavor. After I finished eating I felt quite bloated for a few hours which is uncommon for me so that was weird! Hopefully, they can improve their food soon because this is a great location for my family to get Mexican food.  Also, I don't appreciate the salt and pepper in beer bottles. It felt dirty like lots of hands have been on it and when I got home and my son saw my pictures he asked me why I got beer with my lunch! Hilarious right? Not really! I definitely don't drink! This is one of the best establishments out there! The food is delicious and similarly priced as other restaurants. Not overpriced, which I appreciate. They have a fun dining environment with exceptional, attentive service. The owners are amazing people who genuinely care about community; locally, nationally and even internationally. They have generously given so much to those in need; loading several trucks and taking supplies to devastated areas. In all my years I have never seen a restaurant do as much as Salsa Leedos does, and I've lived in three countries and seen a lot! Keep up the great work guys!! read more

Best Mexican-American food around the area. The food is always good and the portions are very big. The waitress are nice and helpful. Sunday Brunch is my favorite time to visit. The free flan with the Yelp's check-in is awesome! A few cons. Their rewards program is not efficient, I have been to this place 4 times, gave my phone number to the waitresses and still have 0 rewards points. My family came here for dinner with high hopes-we hear so many good things from people that we just KNEW it was going to be amazing. We were quickly greeted and taken to a table by the host. Our server came and took our drink order shortly thereafter and then came back to take our dinner order. We noticed that the restaurant appeared mostly full (for COVID times) and our server was possibly taking care of the majority of the tables. Unfortunately, two of the three meals we ordered were wrong. I ordered three street tacos and received two enchiladas. Our server was extremely apologetic and offered to take them back and bring out the correct order. But we were pretty hungry and had waited longer than our bellies were anticipating, so we declined the offer and ate what was in front of us. Not being an enchilada person, I gave them a try, but did not enjoy my meal. My son, whose meal was also not what he ordered ate all of his and said it was fine, but he would have preferred what he asked for (I don't recall what he ordered or got.) Our server was super friendly, apologetic and gave us a discount and a coupon for a future visit-so she did everything she could to make it right. I'm not writing this place off forever-I can tell it has promise. We will be back to give it a try again. read more

First time going to Salsa Leedos based on mainly positive reviews. The service was decent here but I think the food could have been better. We got the mini street tacos for the appetizer (which came out the same time as our main course), the spicy sour cream was good on top but every bite of meat had grizzle in it which I know happens but the same thing happened for my entree. I ordered the Keto Fajitas, the vegetables were way overcooked and after 5-7 bites, the grizzle bites ruined the rest of the meal for me. My partner and I both got one alcoholic drink and our meal ended up being $85 in total. I don't think Salsa Leedos is worth the price in my opinion. read more

I came here with my husband and child snd the waitress brought out salsa and my husband instantly noticed a piece of hair in it. So gross!! She was apologetic and brought new salsa. Salsa Leedos is solid. For the things they do, they do them well. Standard US / Mexican food with an extremely hot plate laden with tongue melting beans and cheese with your choice of main course. The enchiladas a good, the salads are good, the tacos are standard. The burritos are where it is at and you need to come hungry or bring a suitcase for leftovers. And that is for the small one. The big one requires an overweight trucking permit just to get it to the table. Oh, and pay the little bit of extra to get it smothered in Verde. Salsa Leedos does really good Verde. Came here to have dinner with a friend on a Saturday evening. I don't know if they do call ahead of anything, but the wait was 45 min for 2. I found that to be a little crazy, but we imagined that most restaurants would have a crazy wait time on Saturday night. So we waited. When we received our text that our table was ready, the restaurant has a strange set up, nothing about it is convenient. The staff we Interacted with weren't particularly friendly or professional. The food really disappointed me. I supposed I was expecting authentic Mexican food, and this was not it. The plate looked pretty appealing, but as soon as they brought it out I knew that it wasn't going to be what I expected. My friend had a virgin margarita and seemed to enjoy it, that was presented well. The chips and salsa appetizer that they have on the table is good, probably one of the highlights of my experience here. My friend and I both ordered the carnitas tacos. It was $11 and came with 3 tacos. The meat inside had a good flavor, but it was really greasy. The beans were lackluster, probably fished out of any old can of beans. The rice was really like al dente, had a bit of a crunch, if you're into that kind of thing. I was not, so it basically felt like it wasn't cooked all of the way. The rice also tasted like one of those make at home packs or microwave meals. Not good, hardly any flavor. I also felt like if they are going to put it on a huge plate, maybe include more rice and beans? This was just a few bites worth. I overheard a family at a table across from us trying to order some items and the waitress said at least 3-4 times that they were out of that item. At 6pm on a Saturday I feel like that is absurd. How can you be out of that many menu items about and hour into dinner service? Perhaps this is more of a bar scene, that area was quite large and people in that area at a glance seemed like they were enjoying themselves. The bathrooms are literally in the very back, you might even find your way into the kitchen area accidentally because there are so many twists and turns to find your way. Good luck! Honestly, It wasn't the worst experience. But I will not be coming here again, nor would I recommend anyone this restaurant. There is a chance we caught them on an off day, but I feel like even if your food isn't great, a good waiter or waitress or even hostess makes a huge difference and this staff looked like they didn't want to be there. read more
