Busy! We did the complimentary valet parking. 20 minute wait for a table and was able to get roof top seating. Juliana was our server - from Washington! Grace was our hostess. Both super sweet and friendly. The valet staff also friendly. We ordered the Seared Mahi bowl $21.99 and the Crab Baked Grouper $30. Good portions and tasty.

Great place! Loved the outdoor space upstairs! It did start to rain but we were covered by the umbrellas. The service was great. The food was very good! The drinks were perfect!

We came here for lunch and loved everything we ate. I recommend getting the regular poke bowl if you do not want the tuna to be seared. The grouper fingers not pictured were the BOMB.COM lol. We sat outside and enjoyed the nice breeze and shade while eating. The service was fast and chill. Recommend going here for a casual dinner with family or after beach.

The ambiance is nice and cozy, I like the decor throughout the whole restaurant. We picked Salt Life because it's a pet friendly restaurant. We had our dog with us, so we sat at the patio on the ground floor. Surprise to see they have an elevator to go to the second floor! I had Hawaiian shrimp bowl, the rice was really hot, however, it's too salty. They put too much soy sauce in it, I can't hardly eat it. Hubby had the rolls, he liked it. Our waitress was attentive, she checked on us frequently. She brought a bowl of water for our dog right away without asking. There was a live performance on a Monday night surprisingly. We were at the restaurant late, around 8pm, it was busy even on Monday night! So, I can imagine it's gonna be crowded on weekends!

The restaurant was very nice. Across the street from the beach. Decor was what you would expect. Staff was well turned out. Beach girls in shorts and tshirts very on point. My waitress was McKenna friendly and efficient. I got the grilled oysters a++ sold dish and the captain's platter fried seafood b-. The grouper was massively over fried... think fish jerky. I asked for a replacement and it was provided. Happy ending ? No, when I arrived home and checked my receipt I realized I was charged $4 for the replacement. Not gonna make me or break me and overall it was a good meal and experience but seriously a nickel and dime markup on their mistake. Overall a good experience but that did not sit well with me. Price was about what you would expect from the location...

What a nice place to eat dinner along the A1A in St. Augustine! Suggested by my son and his girlfriend, we had an amazing dinner together here and enjoyed epically great service! A little after we were seated we were also treated to some live music being played on the outside lower patio area. The location is just blocks from the beach and walking distance from the Hilton Embassy Suites I stayed at. I ended up coming back two more times because of the convenience and great service & food. Their Smoked Grouper Dip was wonderful as was the crab baked grouper.

A little chilly but opted for upstairs patio seating. Avocado fries were good with saucy sauce. I opted for fish tacos-one shrimp and one mahi - squeeze of lime is important. Sushi roll was small. Tropical yardbird sammy with fries was a hardy meal. Great location right across from the beach.

Hostesses we friendly. 3 of us had delicious meals tonight, Hawaiian shrimp bowl, Rainforest Mahi Mahi & Boca style grouoer. Everything was seasoned & cooked perfectly & serve hot. Our server was training & did a great job. The layout, decor & atmosphere are very nice, there was a musician playing on the patio, the bar is indoor/outdoor.

Place was set on an upper deck facing the beach. Service was very friendly and attentive. I had the poke tuna rice bowl which was quite good

My family & I have been to this location of Salt Life Food Shack MANY times (and will continue to come back)! The greeters/hostesses are always polite & nice! The food is always a level above the rest (temperature, seasoning, portion size, etc). There is always some kind of live music happening on the patio (on the weekends - not certain about the weekdays). Hint: Order the a few oyster shooters before dinner! They are spiiiiiiiiccccy & delicious! Super cheap = $2 each.

Great food! Always am able to find a seat. Greeted as you arrive. Great open feel inside. Terrific front deck and for those great evenings there is an outside rooftop deck!! Great cocktails. A fantastic place to relax. Cheers!!

View of menu w a view of ocean in distance.

Stopped here when looking for a spot for drinks on the beach. This spot is not on the beach...its across the street from the Embassy Suites however you do have a view of the ocean from a few of the seats on the rooftop bar. Service is attentive and drinks are good. We had already eaten so did not have food.

Food was amazing, distinctly different flavors on all 4 dishes we shared at our table. Definitely coming back! Service was good. A tad noisy with the music, but the food made up for that.

Also, Jeff (the manager) stopped by our table, took the time to chat with us and made us feel right at home. We appreciated the old-school St. Augustine Southern hospitality that has been lost since the inevitable growth of the area. You definitely can't go wrong with their Fried Shrimp and Chicken Wings (loved the flavors of that buttery Garlic Parm)! Both seasoned and cooked to perfection. The ample outside seating steps away from the beach, feeling the breeze off of the Atlantic Ocean, a truly laid-back atmosphere, sunburnt tourist watching and counting all the Jeeps heading out to brave the soft sand while enjoying an ice cold beer or sweet tea...so priceless.

She started us out with baked oysters and they were good, but it was too much bacon and cheese for me personally. It overwhelmed the oyster flavor, but if you're trying oysters for the first time or wanna please a picky group then these are good. My daughter got the stuffed flounder with corn casserole as we called it, as her side. It was delicious! Probably the best thing ordered! Tacos and kids grilled fish was great too! Definitely a solid amount of fish nuggets in the taco. The fries were some of the best ive ever had. For the seafood feast, we ordered scampi style and it was good, but it reminded me of a clam sauce style, not really buttery and garlicky. It was still good, but what disappointed me was the melted plastic bag served at the table. It was difficult to open, even our server had trouble opening. Idk why everyone loves serving food in plastic bags. It's sooo hot from the steam that plastic leaches into the food. I don't get the infatuation with this, unless you're ordering to go. The fans upstairs are a nice and necessary touch and not too hot up there, despite being summer in July. I would go back and order the stuffed flounder again! Seriously, that was the best thing we ordered. Ashley was johnny on the spot too!

One of our favorite things to do in every new city is seek out the local favorites and discover our own go to restaurants. This time, we decided to give St. Augustine Fish Camp a try. Right away, we were impressed. Our server was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive throughout the meal. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, and the waterfront views made for a great dining experience. We ordered the clam chowder, Spicy Seafood Linguini, and Shrimp & Grits. Unfortunately, I'd love to be able to rave about the food, but shortly after we finished eating, I became sick and dealt with an upset stomach for the rest of the night. My fiancé also didn't feel well afterward, although her symptoms were much milder. This was the first and only meal we'd eaten since earlier that afternoon, so we suspect it may have been related to something we ate, though we can't say that with absolute certainty. That said, one bad experience doesn't define a restaurant. The service and atmosphere were both excellent, and it's clear from the many positive reviews that plenty of people have had great meals here. We'll give St. Augustine Fish Camp another chance before we leave town, but next time we'll probably order different menu items. Thanks for reading, we hope our experience is helpful!
