Taste: 5/5 Value: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Every time I'm in St. Augustine, someone tells me to go to Harry's Seafood Bar, and honestly, they're right! The food is consistently delicious, it really lives up to the hype. Definitely a must-visit if you're in St. Augustine, especially if you're in the mood for flavorful, New Orleans-style seafood dishes. The outdoor setup is a big part of what makes it so enjoyable. It's a really comfortable and well-done space with a great atmosphere, laid-back and yet still lively. They've got heaters going when it's chilly and umbrellas for when the sun gets a little intense, so it's a solid spot no matter the weather. On our most recent visit, our server Jesse was super helpful and made sure everything ran smoothly. He checked in at the right times, had great recommendations, and really added to the overall experience. All around, it's one of those places that's easy to recommend. Great food, great vibe, and solid service, definitely worth checking out.

I took a day trip with some friends to St. Augustine and we discovered this incredible seafood restaurant. Harry's Seafood Bar & Grille is a cozy rustic and modern venue. You know it's good when there's a long wait. It's a cute two story building with an outdoor seating area. Since it was a little chilly out, they had lamp heaters available and even live entertainment. The particular singer that day was phenomenal with her unique raspy indie tone. We had a 20 minute wait for our table which happened to be outdoors, so we bought drinks at the bar. The Bloody Mary and Sangria were both better than expected. The downstairs bar was a little tiny for the amount of patrons, but cozy. There's also a bar upstairs. When we finally got seated, we were pleased to have an awesome server. He was attentive, helpful, and had a good sense of humor with our silly group. The staff in general were friendly. I can honestly say that everything we ordered was good. For appetizers we chose Fried Green Tomatoes, Cheese Dip, Fish Strips and Seafood Dip. Dinner included Seared Tuna, Seafood Pasta, Crab Cakes, and a Redfish special. Everything was well seasoned, savory, and rather sizable portions. The only downside is that there may be a wait for the restrooms since this is definitely a high traffic restaurant! There's plenty of pay parking lots.

Stopped in for lunch as a 4 on a Monday afternoon. Casual atmosphere with tables available inside or outside in their courtyard. The day was beautiful so we stayed outside. Our server was pleasant, friendly and willing to please. Libations all around then onto grilled chicken sandwich, boudin balls (sausage and rice-yummy), grouper sandwich and scallops. Everything was delicious, Enjoy!

My family and I came here for lunch on a Friday afternoon. It was a little hot outside, so we sat indoors in one of the dining rooms. I had the blackened fish tacos with a side of collard greens. The tacos were filled with fresh pico de gallo and lettuce, and the greens were salty and a little spicy. All of us really enjoyed our food! Our waitress was great and checked in on us a few times during our meal. I would definitely recommend this spot!

Amazing restaurant. Beautiful inside and out, large patio outside for when weather is nice. Live music of the weekends, I think. Our server was excellent, very attentive and efficient. The bread is delicious, soft, and the garlic butter ... yum... spreads so nicely. I started with a Blackberry Bramble which was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend this beverage. I had shrimp and grits as it was a chilly day. It was as perfect as any can be. The grits were smooth and creamy, shrimp lightly seasoned and served in a Cajun gravy. My husband had the fried shrimp and said it was excellent. He doesn't eat cole slaw, so I had his and it was so good, fresh sweet, and delightfully crunchy. Will definitely visit this restaurant again!!

Crawfish étouffée... plenty of crawfish and as you can see a large portion.

Wow what a find... This place has plenty of seating both inside and out. For a nice view of the water sit upstairs . The food was Louisiana style Cajun and didn't disappoint. We had a waitress that was on her 4th and you would have thought she had been serving for years. We started with the seafood dip served chilled with crackers and Harry's hot sauce . Fantastic!!! We had the jambalaya, crawfish, étouffée, and pecan crusted grouper. We all loved it . Big portions

Wow! Food tastes just like you're sitting in the New Orleans French Quarter. I'm not sure I had joy like this at a restaurant in a really long time. The fried crab claws were 100000% one of the best things I've eaten. I wish I could have taken a gallon home. The fried green tomatoes were also spectacular and I like all the accompaniments that came on it. All of our entrees were delicious. We had the pasta, fish sandwich, and fish tacos. The best treat was the friend Oreo beignets were the final closing act. We sat outside on the patio and it was really nice and the trees kept us from sitting directly in the sun. 10/10 recommend

This place was amazing. By far the best food we had in st Augustine. We sat on the patio on a beautiful day. Our server was great. My wife had the red fish and I had the andouille fish. Can't remember the name. Everything was phenomenal and would highly recommend

We love sitting outside on the patio at this bustling restaurant. We had a drink while waiting to be seated. Service is friendly but a bit slow. We ordered the Fish Tacos (blackened), which were very good and also tried the Shrimp & Crawfish Pot Pie. The fish tacos had a nice crunch. The pot pie is extremely rich so be prepared if you're not ready for a heavy entree. Both entrées came with sides so we ordered the collard greens which were delicious, and rice and beans which also were good, but needed a little kick of hot sauce

Harry's is a staple for my boyfriend for when we go to St. Augustine. And there's a reason for it! They have wonderful food and are conveniently located in the walking area of downtown st Augustine. Service has been a little hit or miss depending on when we've come but it's not been horrible. If you've come for dinner be prepared to wait. Anytime we've stopped in after 5 it's always been about an hour wait and there's very limited seating space to wait. However, while you're waiting they do have a server who will take drink orders and bring them out to you. We love that service as it's very convenient. This is an old home or business that's been converted on each floor to have its own kitchen. We've dined on the first and second floor, and so far I prefer the first floor dining space as it was just a little less crowded. The food can be spicy so be wary of what you're ordering! The mashed potatoes have a kick to them that's not advertised. The pasta has a kick on the aftertaste. I'm not able to handle really spicy foods and unfortunately for me most of the menu is off limits. However my boyfriend finds the spice a lot more tolerable and loves the salmon dish. Overall, it's a bit of a pricier place to eat but it's a nice treat once in a while.

Shrimp scampi after about 10 minutes the oil started separating from the sauce so it was swimming in what had to be 1/4 c of grease.

It started out good. The she crab soup and crab cake app had us thinking we made a good choice. One person has an allergy to a particular preservative used in frozen shrimp so that was expressed to our waitress. The meal he chose said "fresh shrimp" so he asked her if the shrimp was frozen and she said honestly she'd avoid it because she didn't want to chance him having an allergic reaction. We appreciated her honesty and so he ordered his food without it. He did take a spoon of soup though and I guess the crab meat had the preservative because his lip started tingling and swelling. Thankfully he only tried it and ate no more. The entrees came out and the shrimp scampi was pretty gross. Literally swimming in a bed of oil and the shrimp were so gross. Like the kind you get frozen from a cheap supermarket and still had the shell pieces on some. My husband said his twin lobster tails were overcooked. The weird thing too was to refill my husband's soda the waitress brought out a drippy styrofoam cup and dumped it into his glass and then left him with the almost empty cup. The place was really overpriced at over $4 for a cup of soda and tea and overcooked not fresh high quality seafood. I can't understand why this place is rated so highly.

A lovely day in St. Augustine. Stopped by this popular restaurant. Greeted by a lovely hostess. A short wait for an outside table. Unfortunately we weren't assigned a waiter but someone finally noticed and our waiter Jeremy was very attentive. Love the atmosphere. You can smell the fresh air of the ocean. The landscape is well maintained and provides a delightful atmosphere. Ordered the arugula mahi mahi. The fish was superb. Very tender and flakey. Well seasoned. The accompanying rice however was flavorful but rather dry. My husband paired his mahi mahi with corn grits which were some of the best grits I'd ever had. I would consider changing the complimentary bread as it just tasted like a bun you would use in a sub sandwich. Overall it was a good experience.

Great atmosphere... we sat outside which was amazing the weather was beautiful. They have live music to help with the ambience. Food was fantastic. The portions were very large so to take that into consideration when ordering. The appetizers are very tasty my favorite is the grouper bites, this place Wellworth, the money and your time.

Ask the Community - Harry's Seafood Bar & Grille

Are there any gluten free options?

The menu has many options and I'm sure they can accommodate your dietary needs by recommending dishes that are naturally gluten free. They do have their menu available to view as well if you need to look ahead of time. Hope this helps :)

    Are children welcome?

    Yes! Family friendly

    Do they take reservations?

They do not take reservations. You can call them and ask for the wait time, though!

Are dogs allowed in outside seating area?

Both times I was there! Yes. They were truly service animals for some former military guys

    Do I need a reservation?

No reservations, but you need to check in and depending on availability you might have to wait for a table.

    Is parking available?

Yes they have their own lot or you can park somewhere else and walk. We have parked in the street before for free and just walked.

    Is there Happy hour?

I don't know if they have Happy Hour per se; but, they have a slew of daily specials, which makes it worth a visit almost any day of the week. My wife and I ordered cocktails off the regular menu; and, they were not very expensive.

Catch 27 - St. Augustine, FL…read more Came to St. Augustine with a group and Catch 27 was suggested for dinner. Great choice. I checked the Yelp reviews ahead of time and it definitely lived up to them. People in our group started with drinks and everyone at the table seemed happy with what they ordered. I had the red wine braised beef brisket for my main and it was excellent, very tender and full of flavor. My friend Damon next to me had the red snapper and I tried some of that too. Also very good. Someone else at the table had the Rockefeller crusted snapper and that looked and tasted great as well. For appetizers, I had the shaved pear and blue cheese salad. It was really good and honestly enough for two people to share as an appetizer. People at the table also ordered the Devils on Horseback and liked them. I do not eat bacon, but they were happy with that dish. The deviled eggs with southern fried oysters looked really good, and I had the smoked salmon spread, which was very good too. I also saw the shrimp and grits come out for someone else and that dish looked excellent. For dessert, I had the sticky toffee pudding and it was a strong finish to the meal. Others at the table ordered the seasonal crème brûlée, which was chocolate that night. It looked great and everyone who had it said it was very good. Sunny was our waitress and she did an exceptional job. Attentive, kind, and on top of everything the whole night. In my mind this is about a 4.7 star experience, and I am rounding it up to a full 5 stars. Catch 27 is a great choice in St. Augustine.

I ordered a sangria but our drinks took a very long time to come out, after our appetizer (crab, an heirloom tomato bruschetta which was yummy and more filling than regular bruschetta!) Overall, the food was really good and waitress was nice, but water was never refilled and everything took a really long time to come out. Would love to try it again on a regular night and hopefully they have the entrees we wanted to try:)

There were so many options and honestly I forget which we decided on - but the server mentioned they were a little small but tasty. Imagine our surprise when they were absolutely not small! We also had some fries which were the exact right amount of crispy and seasoned and some fish nuggets. Also perfectly crispy and seasoned. Our server was lovely. They were cooked perfectly and served in a flavorful sauce with peppers that tied everything together. The balance between the sweet and spicy was so good. For my entree, I ordered the lasagna, and it was pure comfort. It reminded me so much of the classic lasagna I grew up eating, layered with rich Bolognese and a creamy bechamel sauce that made it feel both nostalgic and elevated.
