Best shrimp salad I've ever eaten! Wonderful flavor and plentiful large shrimp. I can't wait to try more of their items!

She proceeded to take us to our table and pointed in a corner to the "coffee bar". Code for "get your own coffee cuz I'm too busy to get it for you". That shocks me this establishment would have that sort of set up with the number of elderly peeps in the Charleston area. While we were there, a wheelchair bound individual was dining. Do you think she appreciated the "coffee bar"? My husband ordered a farmhouse omelet with a side of bacon. I had the bacon-chorizo eggs benedict. Both were very good. I was disappointed that the spinach and tomatoes that topped the benedict were not sauteed-they were raw. It was still a good dish. The highlight was the cup of fruit I ordered. I don't know if it was just cuz I've been stuck in Ohio without "good fruit", but it was freaking yummy. It was a combo of blueberries, blk raspberries, kiwi, fresh pineapple, strawberries, and an orange slice! All tasty. I had to chuckle to myself while eating. The wall adjacent to where we were eating had some "black board" messages on it. One of the postings was to rent the room area for your next party. As I sat eating my lunch, I noticed that every ceiling tile was sagging horribly from the ceiling and many were stained. Do restaurant owners not realize that ceiling tiles are pretty darn cheap?? These could be changed easily after hours. This place in particular closes at 3 pm. All in all, our lunch was very good, but some details of the operations and ambience detracted from a 5 star review.

I've been going to the island for a decade and somehow missed this delightful takeout joint. The fridges are filled with take and bake Italian delicacies. This is going to be a new must stop for me on each visit!

Think lasagna, baked ziti, grilled sausage, peppers and onions, and a lot more. The classic Italian desserts looked delicious but I'm trying to stick with my New Year's resolution a little longer. Today, I ordered "Godmother's Turkey" (turkey, artichoke hearts, roasted peppers, spinach, mozzarella, garlic mayo). I think this was the best sandwich I've had in Mount Pleasant. Everything was fresh and perfectly portioned. I added a Caesar salad - and while very simple, it was made of crisp lettuce with crunch croutons. Dressing was the classic variety. The counter staff was very friendly and our order took only about 5-7 minutes to make. There's indoor and outdoor seating and a little shopping area where you can browse wines, oils, and more. Very casual atmosphere. No servers as it's counter service only. I recommend take out as they do a great job boxing and wrapping everything.

For food, I tried the fried catfish entree and Green apple-cauliflower soup. Both dishes were good. The fish was very tender and juicy. The butter bean succutash, which I never had before, contained butter beans, black eyed peas, corns, green and red peppers and red onions. It was delicious but since beans are of high FODMAP, I only had a little. The fish was topped with tomato jam made with crushed tomatoes, onions and sugar. It was served chilled. Paired well with the fish and succutash. The soup was creamy, silky, and full of flavor from cauliflower. The pistachio added some crunchiness to it. The taste of "green apple" was not obvious; in fact I was expecting there to be some apple slices, which could add extra texture and sourness to this rich soup. I also asked for a side of sourdough. A bit too salty for me. The service was kinda slow, except that food came out in reasonable amoutn of time **after I placed the order**, that is, I waited quite a while to order my food. The same for doing the check. I guess it was because there were not many staff at lunchtime, and most of them were senior thus could move as fast as young ppl.
