Fabulous facility! Many different events throughout the year!!! Great seat options, yummy food and absolutely amazing views!!! A very very clean stadium including bathrooms. Ticket prices are beyond reasonable. Friendly staff throughout!! Parking on site for a fee.

Nothing beats great weather, friends, food and spring training! I sat 2nd row near 3rd base behind the dugout. It was slightly warm as this part is uncovered. If you're a person who needs shade sit near home plate or 1st base. They also have lawn seating where you can bring a blanket and pick a spot. Plenty of food and drink options and a fruit kabobs which I've never had at a game via vendor! Parking is very organized and so is the entry. Do yourself a favor and catch a game or 2 and get a hotdog!

Salt River Fields at Talking Stick is one of the most enjoyable spring training venues I've visited. The setting is beautiful, with modern architecture surrounded by desert scenery, and the entire complex feels open, relaxed, and easy to navigate. The sightlines are great from every seat, the atmosphere is friendly and laid‑back, and the game experience feels intimate in the best way. Food options are solid, staff is welcoming, and parking is surprisingly smooth for busy game days. Overall, it's the perfect place to spend a sunny Arizona afternoon watching baseball.

We are fortunate enough to have spring training here in Arizona. This is one of the nicer spring training ballparks in the Cactus League. Salt River Fields at Talking Stick is the spring training home of the Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies. The stadium opened in 2011 and holds around 11,000 people. Before that, both teams played their spring training games in Tucson. I come here often to see the Diamondbacks play. I enjoy the intimate feel of spring training games where you can see the players up close behind the dugout and in the bullpen as they warm up. Salt River Fields at Talking Stick is right off the 101 and is a great place for families. It is located next to Talking Stick Resort and Casino Arizona which is owned by the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community. I am a lawn seat guy. I like to grab a dog and drink and just chill in the grass. There are lots of concession stands and vendors that walk around. I enjoy the variety of southwestern cuisine that they offer here. There are vendors that sell your normal baseball favorites like hot dogs, peanuts, churros, nachos, and other snacks. There are also a couple of beer gardens and local favorites like Someburros, Streets of New York and Zoyo Neighborhood Yogurt. Local legend Luis Gonzales has a stand named after him called Gonzo's Grill. I love me a good Sonoran Dog when I come here. Both the Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies have their own separate team shops. They also sell Cactus League merchandise. Salt River Fields at Talking Stick hosts several events throughout the year when they aren't hosting baseball games.

Attended a Savanah Banana game. Food was great. Sound system was great. Get seats in the shade to make sure you stay cool OR wear light colored clothing and sun screen. Water is 6.50 per bottle.. water should NOT be that expensive!

While our group didn't try any of the food or drinks, we enjoyed the experience of sitting in the outfield grassy area, enjoying the warm weather, and spring training game.

My favorite time of the year! Salt River Fields is my favorite Spring Training facility. Home to the Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rookies Major League Baseball teams. There's plenty of parking around the stadium. If you don't mind walking you can park in some free spots. It's very clean and organized. Seems like there's more food vendors this year. Kona coffee, Açaí bowls, Island Noodles, Cactus popcorn, etc. There's two nice sized team stores for each team. Wish they carried more women's small and medium sizes. The main thing to note when buying tickets is that if you are in the Colorado Rookies home size you will likely be in the shade. Most of the lower level seats on the home Arizona Diamondback size will be in the sun. Fun place but get your food early or you will be waiting in line a long time.

One of my favorite spring training parks! Diamond backs and Rockies are the home teams at this super modern stadium! Like other stadiums, they stadium off area for picnic, seats with cushions and seats without cushions. Good views from all seats! As for drinks there are a good array of refreshing both alcoholic and non alcoholic. Places to get beer, wine, cocktails, hard seltzers and more. Something for everyone! Good options are typical of ballparks, nothing special. Parking is for a fee at this stadium: 20-40 dollars for parking.

Just checked my 2022 review and prices are up of course. Lawn ticket - $30 plus Margarita at the new Some Burros - $16 Lowest parking- $10 Best place to stand and watch game. Go to the Some Burros area. Get a new pretzel vendor too. Dbacks win on March 1st. 8-4.

Chill environment Great sight lines Best deal is lawn seat and move around once in the stadium Limited draft beer Bratwurst with onions and peppers better than most baseball stadium sausage Great play areas for the kids

Booths and you guessed it! More mud

This is based on my first visit to this venue for Panda Fest. There had been rain in the forecast for over a week, yet no precautions had been taken to prevent it from becoming a giant MUDPIT. The event was rain or shine so everyone was just putting up with it, but I couldn't stay. I had brought my 3 year old in an umbrella stroller and pushing it through inches of mud was horrible. I kept getting stuck, there were no pathways laid out anywhere and tons of puddles. Luckily (being from Seattle) I wore boots because of the weather. Most of the Arizonans were forced to PURCHASE shoe covers to try to prevent their feet from getting soaked. There was little seating and I was sweating from trying to drag the stroller through the mud. With relation the this festival, lots of vendors but paying $17 a person to get in and then every single booth Charging at least $15 for small food or drink was ridiculous. I would prefer to sample smaller amounts from more places but they dont have that option.

This is one of, if not the nicest spring training facility in Arizona. It houses the Rockies & D-Backs, and is still basically brand-new, as it debuted during the 2011 season. PARKING: There were two main parking options when we went, both giant dirt lots. As you follow the signs for the general parking, there is a $10 lot on your left, and a $20 on your right. Both are self parking, and at first, look to be identical. Only after we had been walking for 10+ minutes from the cheap lot, did we notice how much closer the $20 lot gets you. It's nice they have a closer option for those who need it, though we were happy to walk the extra bit and put the $$ towards some food inside. As you get closer to the stadium, there is a bridge with a nice water feature that turns into a little river that you walk over. Next level for a baseball stadium. STADIUM: The stadium itself is REALLY nice! Everything is clean, open, and it definitely shows how new it is. There are plenty of food and drink options all around the stadium. They have a large grassy lawn area where people can watch the game and even play some catch before it fills up. There was also a free sunscreen dispenser at the restrooms for those who forgot theirs, or need to re-apply. Make sure to stop by the Guest Services stand to get a first game certificate, if applicable! SHOPPING: Each home team (AZ & COL) has their own giant dugout store (down by each foul pole) featuring all kinds of hats, jerseys, shirts, pins, cups, almost everything else you might want, and things you didn't know you needed! They also have a Baseballism store down the 3rd base line towards the outfield. FOOD: Salt River has most all the basics you would expect to find at a baseball stadium (hot dogs, chicken strips, fries, pretzels, popcorn etc). They do however also have some different, elevated options. A few examples: -Berrie Kabobs and Organic Açaí bowls from @theoriginalberriekabobs -Mustache Pretzels from @mustachepretzels -Mexican food & Margaritas from @rustytacograms -Premium Burgers from 101 Cattle Co. -Edible Cookie Dough & Ice Cream from @scoopwells -Empanadas from @yanikeke_foods -Kettle and other fun flavored popcorns from @cactus_corn -Chick-fil-A... yum! -Cold Stone Express... you already know! DRINK: There is no shortage of beverage options as you make your way around the ballpark. They have all the things you would expect, including local and more common draft beers, cans of beer and seltzer, soda, water, and more! The "and more" was really what sets them apart from other spring training, and even MLB stadiums. In addition to multiple brands/flavors of seltzers, they had the largest selection of canned alternative adult beverages (Simply Spiked, Happy Thursday "bubble free" refreshers, Hard Mountain Dew, Cayman Jack flavored margaritas, Voodoo Ranger Hard peach tea, Angry Orchard cider, Deep Eddy vodka drinks, Superbird and Bacardi cocktails). The most intriguing and innovative option in my opinion, was the High Rise D9 seltzer, which has THC & CBD. Both of these are legal for folks 21+ in the state of Arizona, and I think it's incredible that they have options for those who can't/don't want to drink alcohol, but still want to get a buzz, chill out, and have a good time. Shout out to Salt River Fields for being ahead of the curve with this! OTHER: There are also some interactive activities, such as a small field for kids to play and run the bases. There's something called the Diamond Bar, which has some tasty sounding food options, draft beer, and fun specialty Deep Eddy baseball themed cocktails. They have tables and chairs both inside and out, along with a cornhole set for people to play while they hang. There is also a Casino just a short drive down the road that is part of the Talking Stick Resort property. We went to check it out after the game and enjoyed some casino games and people watching. OVERALL: We have now been to almost all the spring training stadiums in AZ, and it's not hard to argue that this one is the nicest. Between the elite food and drink options, clean and updated facilities, and overall vibe, this is a stadium I would go out of my way to come back to again on future visits! IG: @bbnem.eats

The facilities at this field are so clean and beautiful. I had a great time watching a spring training game here with some family. Also I find it really cool that you can get so close to the bullpen.

Ask the Community - Salt River Fields at Talking Stick

    So you take cash?

I know before the pandemic they cash at SRF. I have not been to a Spring Training game there yet this year so I am not sure if they are due to the pandemic.

Can you tailgate in the parking lot here?

Yes, you are able to tailgate. Gates open 2 hours before event.

There's lots of other activities spots too - baseball/softball fields, open fields for grass volleyball/football, basketball courts, playground, and walking paths. But I only care about the beach courts. The City of Scottsdale is routinely known for all the above with SRP courts- which is why they are always in high demand. #FirstWorldProblem There are 6 doubles courts with provided lines, lights, and ramadas with tables in the walkway between Courts 1&2 and Courts 3-6. Seriously, they know what they're doing here. A couple of years ago I called the Parks office to rent courts for my birthday volleyball tourney and the guy I spoke with indicated that they know they're good. If they aren't reserved, it's truly a toss up whether you can claim a court or not (even during summer). I only wish that other towns/cities could build as good courts in bulk much closer to me so the drive would be better, but a las.. I still end up at SRP weekly.

Took awhile to get thru once we passed the security check-in and were filtering down a few levels to get to the floor. Of course there were a ton of people and we were packed like sardines but the flow was smooth and people were patient. Once we got to our seats, we got situated and Leon Thomas was already midway as the opening act. There was a slight mixup as one chair, the "30th" seat was missing on our row and we ended up moving down one seat to our left as the group with the seating issue kept trying to figure it out. Some numbers were missing on our seats but mine was visible and we could verify where we were seated. Luckily, our seat neighbors were nice people and accommodating since there seemed to be an extra seat that was empty. When we first arrived, there were some people who sat near our seats that weren't supposed to be there but you know there's always one of those so they moved. It was fun and festive. The woman in front of us with her daughter was recording the whole time as well as the lone guy next to my cousin who was doing the same and singing to EVERY SONG, LOL!! Thankfully we never had to use the bathroom as we went during dinner right before the concert. There were Porta-Pottys on the floor level inside as your bathroom. Also, you couldn't take an actual canned drink inside. Attendants had you put them in a cup unless they weren't paying attention and you had your drink in your see-thru backpack like the guy in front of me walking in. Speaking of, you need to look at bag dimensions and restrictions prior to going to the events. I looked ahead of time and brought a clear, plastic purse within the allowed guidelines/dimensions. Acoustics were great, there was never a glitch, 2 large screens on the left and right of the stage were great for folks seated far away and were a great visual for close ups even for us. Security was effective and checkpoints at the entrances went smoothly. It was a bit crazy getting out of the stadium but we got out. Getting out of the parking lot was another story. It was a long, log-jam and some vehicles were impatient and nearly hitting other vehicles just to get in the line to get out! I think the parking guides and traffic monitors could've done better in an orderly and streamlined fashion. In any case, we had fun and luckily people inside were nice and courteous. This was my 2nd concert at this stadium and am well-pleased with the ambiance. It was just the parking lot situation that needs to be more efficient. Hopefully they worked it out the next evening since Bruno played 2 nights here.
