We went to a Celebration of Life yesterday for our dear friend who passed recently. I noticed that Saltbox did the catering for this event. I hadn't yet heard of them. I was a pastry chef for many years in Park City and I really appreciate great food. I just want to say that they did such a wonderful job with all of the items provided. The servers had impeccable timing and offered a great variety of things. They had a great cheese, fruit and charcuterie board, passed appetizers like wagyu beef, as well as salads, ravioli, chicken and salmon. The desserts were great and nice bite size pieces perfect for the event. I truly appreciate the way they set up the space at the Olympic Park at the women's starting house. Thank you for helping us to pay tribute to a great man who left us too soon. read more

I was excited to eat here based on the reviews, but I was pretty shocked by the poor service. It shouldn't take two people almost two hours to have a weekday lunch! It took us 45 minutes from getting in the door to get our food order placed, which involved trying to politely flag down the waitress multiple times. Then my husband had to eat quickly and leave to get to a meeting, so I waited another 20 minutes after finishing to get our checked (had to ask the waitress twice). I know everywhere is understaffed now and I try to always give the benefit of the doubt but they didn't seem too crazy busy, and I definitely didn't see any hustle from the staff. A "thank you for your patience" goes a long way but she didn't seem like she even knew we were there. The food was pretty good and the patio was lovely but the whole experience was stressful since it was during a work day and we were trying to get in and out in a reasonable time. read more

I love coming here for breakfast/ brunch. I've gotten the potato egg sando a few times, it's always delicious but kind of small. It's filling, just not a good meal to split. I've gotten the market bowl and really enjoyed that as well. I like their patio for outdoor seating, it's cute with all the trees around. They have pastries and drinks as well that I enjoy. I came here with three friends for brunch and it was exactly the casual spot we were looking for! The inside is small but has a cute interior. The food was DELICIOUS! It tasted very fresh and the service was quick. Reasonably priced and nice to have something a little off the beaten path of Main Street. This review is specific to customer service with one of their employees/probably manager: all other servers and baristas were very nice and this just represents the older woman with long black hair: As we sat down at the open table by the window, she was angry and adamant that we all get up so she could wipe the table, we were quite friendly and said it was perfectly fine. It looked great. Anyways we conceded to her request and got up off the table so she could wipe it. Honestly not a big deal. After some time of waiting for coffee to come out, our food came out and I mentioned politely "I believe we are waiting on a couple coffee as well" and with her laser death eyes said "I'm working on it" with absolutely terrible attitude. Maybe she's having a bad day, I don't know. But honestly, bad customer service in this industry makes me really angry. When it's as easy as a quick smile and hello. She will be the demise of this restaraunt. read more

Absolutely magnificent! Stumbled upon Saltbox while exploring Park City and felt sooo lucky afterward. Super cute place...we ate outside, and they helped patrons move to tables with umbrellas when it started to sprinkle and started up heaters just to make sure all were comfortable. The servers were very friendly and attentive, and I can't say enough good things about the food. I had the Huevos Rancheros--oh my! And my son had the Saltbox Burger with Parmesan fries. He said it took top one or two for best burger he has EVER had. (I helped him eat the fries--they tasted as great as they smelled) If you're debating whether to go or not, do! Whenever my family and I are in Park City, we always go to Saltbox. While here for a pong time, we go once or twice a week. Saltbox is a sit-down restaurant that also offers pre-made meals to go home. I LOVE the pre-made beef skewers! They are cooked perfectly, and are absolutely amazing. While we actually sit down in the restauran, we order the signature Saltbox burger and get Açaí Smoothie Bowl. These items are absolutely delicious. On top of all of this, the staff is absolutely amazing, and are some of the nicest people that I have ever met. Overall, I cannot describe how amazing Saltbox is, and in conclusion, Saltbox is a must-have while in Park City! read more

A small place in a string of small businesses, easy to miss, but worth finding. We arrived late afternoon and had the place to ourselves. We had Cod tacos and enjoyed every bite. What an incredible spot!! We dropped in with a party of 8 and they immediately accommodated us outside. The service from start to finish was absolutely top notch. Friendly & attentive even after the check was paid. The food was to die for! My sister & I had the Potato Egg Sandwich- a scrambled egg sandwich between two of the crispiest, tastiest hash brown 'buns' you'll ever have with tomato, avocado & house made everything cream cheese that was more like a delectable sauce. Our husbands had the Saltbox burger with garlic parmesan fries. Both were super happy with the cook on the burger and the quality of ingredients used.
