Found this spot on a whim around 7:30am and it did not disappoint. Inside was warm, clean and inviting; it felt more like a cabin than a restaurant. The staff we interacted with were equally lovely. Biscuits and gravy is my go-to at any diner. I mean it when I say this was the best biscuits and gravy I've ever had. The whole thing is one biscuit and the gravy is more of a bechamel with a peppery kick balanced by the sweet biscuit; more like a savory cake in the best way. My professional cook boyfriend is rarely ever impressed by food and we were equally blown away! There are no incorrect options on the menu. Bf also loved his huevos rancheros, but the biscuits and gravy were the star of the show. We cannot recommend it enough and couldn't stop talking about it the rest of our trip. read more

I try not to come into Park City with a chip on my shoulder, but every time I experience a new place and it's the same situation, I am reminded why I have that chip in the first place. Customer service is rarely decent, staff seem disinterested in guests and are content being complacent, knowing that their business will survive strictly because of the popularity of the town. The Eating Establishment fell squarely into this category; slow, disinterested service, mediocre food and ridiculous prices. My partner and I ordered breakfast-I had eggs, potatoes and bacon. The eggs had a strange, burnt taste to them and the potatoes were cold. The ambience here is great, very mountain-vibe. I like the historic building and all the character that comes with it. Looks great, interior was great, service was on point, food was lacking. I ordered shakshuka and it was basically canned chopped tomato, sautéed onion and diced boiled potatoes with two fried eggs on top and some feta. That isn't shakshuka. Shakshuka is way more loved elsewhere. Shakshuka recipe 2 tablespoons grapeseed oil1 large yellow onion diced1 green pepper diced 1 red bell pepper diced 4 garlic cloves with center germ removed, dicedKosher salt Sugar 2 tablespoons tomato paste1 tablespoon harissa1 teaspoon cumin 1/4 teaspoon ground coriander 1 teaspoon paprika(I like smoked paprika)1/2 teaspoon red chili pepper flakes optional28 oz fire roasted diced tomatoesFresh cracked black pepper4 large eggsCilantro, avocado, yoghurt, scallions (optional) for garnish INSTRUCTIONS  * In a large 12-oz sauté pan, heat oil over medium heat. Park City has a rough food scene; nothing really stands out so you're forced to have mediocre food when you want to eat out. The Eating Establishment certainly falls into this description. We had a variety of food dishes for brunch and nothing stood out. Actually, the "Shakshuka" stood out because this was without a doubt the worst shakshuka I've ever eaten. It was made entirely incorrectly. The sauce was bland and watery. There were copious amounts of whole garlic cloves (??????) which forced a game of dodge the cloves to eat whatever else was remotely edible. The staff was nice. read more

My dad and I were lucky to have gotten 2 seats at the bar when we walked in with no reservation at 6pm on Saturday. I would highly recommend making a reservation! It is a pretty small place- and very popular. They serve breakfast all day, as well as normal lunch/dinner options. This is a great place to appeal to all kinds of eaters. The bartender who was our waitress was not very attentive and ended up messing up both our orders but she was extremely busy all by herself. My dad and I both went for breakfast entrees and loved them both. It is pretty reasonably priced for a Main Street restaurant. BFD definitely hits after a long day on the slopes. Though it was clearly lunch time I'd guess more than 85% of the customers including us enjoyed breakfast options. The food is tasty and the employees are the best. The decor is cozy and fitting of the area's history. The prices are reasonable for Park City. Our four breakfasts and coffees, lemonades or whatever cost about $140 tip included. read more

I had company in town for a weekend and wanted to go up to Park city for brunch. We looked online and found this restaurant that had high reviews. The reviews were on point. The ambience of the restaurant nice and had a homey feeling. It was a bit cold outside and we were seated at a table next to the fireplace, which was really nice. I got one pancake and huevos rancheros. And both were so delicious! But the huevos rancheros were extra good! Very flavorful and very fresh tasting. I couldn't stop eating even though I was totally full. And had to have some bites of the pancake as well. The service was good, even though the place was busy. And the prices were very reasonable. We found parking fairly quick on the street as we went a bit early on Saturday morning. By the time we got out the parking situation was crazy. I had a very disappointing experience. There were only three people at our table, yet our waiter, Alex, added a 20% large-party gratuity, which made no sense. On top of that, my friend ordered a side of fries, and no one mentioned they would cost an extra $7. Alex barely came to check on our table during the meal, so the service definitely did not justify an automatic gratuity. Between the unexpected charges and the poor service, this restaurant felt extremely overpriced. A great place for a meal in historic Park City is The Eating Establishment. I made a reservation for my family for a Sunday evening dinner. Having the reservation was great as it allowed us to travel into the heart of the historic city with no worries about finding a table at any of the restaurants. They have a stellar drink menu, including a very good Manhattan. There is also a great beer list, though only a few choices on draft. If the Red Rock Elephino is available, give it a try if you are into IPAs. For dinner, I went with the BLTA with heirloom tomato, green leaf lettuce, bacon, avocado, and roasted garlic aioli ($20). I had this with a really good side salad and you must try Grandma Mary's vinaigrette with any of the salads. Delicious! My wife had the fish tacos, the most popular item on the menu, which combines grilled halibut with a creamy cilantro dressing on flour tortillas with black beans, chips, and salsa ($23). She really enjoyed the fish and the salsa was surprisingly good for it not appearing anywhere else on the menu. One of our kids enjoyed the buttery noodles from the kids' menu ($12) while the other loved that they had breakfast all day and went with a tall stack of pancakes ($15), which was indeed a stack of 3 very large pancakes. read more

For starters, I recommend getting there early for breakfast & brunch on the weekends, or you may risk standing in a very hefty line down Main Street! They are always so packed, so if you're looking for a social meal with a quaint feel, this is a great spot. My friends and I rave about their house coffee - it's truly a perfect brew of Joe. I ordered the Eggs Benedict and my partner got the Pork Hash Skillet. Both were great. My partner loved all the veggies in his skillet. The hollandaise on my Benedict was delicious.
