((3.25 stars)) modernish coffee shop. clean, chill space with a good amount of seating. got a Cortado to-go in the evening before heading to the gym. it was okay and passable as a Cortado. i mean it did its job in terms of caffeine but just lacked that balance between coffee and steamed milk. also the cup had coffee-milk splash on the outside and had to ask for a napkin to wipe it off as it was all across the outside of the cup. not the best execution. service was fine but a little curt. maybe the end of day evening-ness contributed to the coffee being just "okay" in terms of quality and presentation. i'd probably stop in again but probably not for a Cortado. this Saltwater location seems like a good spot to read a book or to hunker down for remote work. read more

A few steps down to the entrance and breakfast nirvana. I had no idea that the coffee and eatery that used to be there had closed (can't recall the name of the other spot) but no need to fret I love trying new spots. First thumbs up.....lavender latte on the menu (one for me please). They have assorted muffins, croissants and a few croissants sandwich options that can be heated. I elected with the help from the girl working the counter (sorry I didn't get her name she was so accommodating) to get the turkey with cheese croissant. The sandwich was perfect not too much meat or cheese just the right amount and after it being heated the flaky crunchy croissant just melted on your tongue. It's a tiny cozy little spot.....you feel like your sitting in your friends living room. There are a few window seats (not many) and a few tables (so try not to come late or the chance of grabbing a seat won't exist). This coffee shop I came upon while walking towards another coffee shop. I stopped in and It was very cute. The lady working here was super nice. The vibes here are chill, music was great and they also have little like semi private outdoor seating area. They have tables and chairs inside too. I got an iced lavender iced latte. Super cute tiny, purple Gen Z coffee place in the lower east side. A friend and I stopped by for a coffee while waiting for a table at Russ & Daughters. The service was great and fast. I got a cortado and it was delicious. Solid coffee choice, and really bright, there was a man working pretty early on a Sunday (we were there around 9 am) so it must be a good local spot. She didn't do such a good job of conveying that she didn't have cash to provide me with the correct change so there was a miscommunication there and she appeared to become agitated. *When I placed my order I specifically said Iced Lavender Chai Latte and she gave me a Iced latte. I explained this to Amanda in which she proceeded to tell me I didn't say that & I CLEARLY did. She became a bit combative in a sense of going back and forth with me saying she repeated my order back to me-- As a paying customer and literal human being I have a right to vocalize my thoughts and ask for the correct order. She did replace my drink swiftly but this encounter made my 1st experience a not so pleasant one. Ambiance : 3/5 minimal, basic decor but chill. Small space inside. They have small tables and chairs for seating outside & some inside. Customer service is important and this didn't leave me feeling happy and excited to try Froth for the first time being that I've never even heard of this place... Popped in to get a quick hot beverage and send a couple emails during my commute. As I walked up on the could see there were 2 spots open outside (4 total) and once inside there were no seats unfortunately :( The staff was friendly and quickly helped me out with my order. I decided on a Turmeric chai latte .. because health is wealth lol. Turmeric is really good so I figured why not give it a try since it's definitely not something that I see often. As I waited for my drink I looked around to see if anyone would be leaving anytime soon but it honestly looked like everyone had been posted up for hours already and had no intentions of leaving anytime soon. Once I got my drink I sat outside for a little bit to enjoy the drink. It was pretty good.. I'm not sure I would order again butttt it was a cool option. After about 5 minutes or so someone finally left and I was able to run inside to sit near their window (a nice lil nook). There wifi is pretty fast but I did not see any plugs around. TLDR - great coffee that blends well into the drink, yes bathroom, yes wifi and yes outlets for three tables. There's outdoor seating also. CINNAMON MAPLE LATTE The flavors really blended well together and the coffee wasn't burnt tasting at all. It was a really nice not too sweet latte at around 6 bucks. The cinnamon definitely stands out and you can see flecks of it dissolved into the drink, with the nice maple sweetness giving it that boost and taking the edge off the coffee without being saccharine. There's outdoor seating with a lot of tables and there's three tables indoors with lots of plugs for you to post up and get some work done. There's loud music playing so if you're looking for a quieter place or need relative silence to focus this might not be the place for you - they were also playing a lot of Lana Del Rey (which side note, was a bonus for me). Bathroom is really clean and well-maintained. Make sure to close the door after using it ;) read more

This new LES coffeeshop was sunny and warm on a weekday morning, the espresso is on par with other decent cafes, and there was space for people to trickle in and out for to-go coffees, or stay to do some remote work, like me. They also have a menu of specialty drinks I'd like to try one day. It did take them a while to open up in the morning; Google lists their hours as starting at 8:30, but I arrived at almost 10am and they were still setting up (odd hours for a cafe), so thankfully I didn't get there earlier. Several other customers came in and were told there would be a wait until drinks could get going. I stopped by Froth to grab a cup of coffee during the day. It is a small space, where most of the tables were taken by individuals on laptops. I was able to take a bench by the window which was fine for me. When I went in, it wasn't too busy so I was able to go straight in and order, as there was no one ahead of me in line. We ordered the cinnamon maple latte and the chocolate strawberry latte. I requested the barista to make them really hot since I often end up with lukewarm lattes. Now, here is the magic- the temperature was perfect, hot until the last sip. The coffee was smooth and delicious. It was not overwhelmingly sweet- that was my concern when ordering the maple one. The maple latte was definitely sweeter than the chocolate strawberry though. I think at this point in time I can say that this was my favorite coffee in nyc. Minimalist coffee shop in a prime Lower East Side location. Set in a partial basement level space, the cozy interior is cast with purple neon light. There is plenty of seating and tables. On a weekday morning, it seemed many people were working away on their laptops. Their drink menu offers all the classics, plus a few interesting specialty lattes. The pastry case did not look particularly appetizing, but offered two different croissants, a scone, and saran-wrapped slices of pound cake. I opted for an iced Cortado with oat milk, which was exceptional. The espresso was creamy, with balanced acidity, enhanced by the correct ratio of milk. Reviewing this as a bar not a morning coffee joint. This place is funny. It's a tiny lil' joint that is a cafe by day, club by night. Yeah, I know. They open the doors at night and flood the streets with their DJ's spinning. I'm not complaining, it was amusing af. We passed by it twice and eventually decided to drop by because the music was so good. The crowd is young. Like mad young. Like so young I don't think they can legally drink lmao. But whatever, I've been there. We were gonna order espresso shots on continue to our next bar. We ordered three and got a seat. The seats are kinda shit, but the whole experience is just so amusing, it's whatever. Drinks came slower than expected considering there were three bartenders behind the bar. The martinis were OK. Blonde roast. So be aware if you dislike the citrusy light taste. I like it, it was cute. But agree with Alexa, it is not fun to cheers with a plastic martini glass. They literally bounced back and split some of our drinks! Lammmmeee. This place is fine. When a friend and I were in the Lower East Side recently and waiting to be texted that our table was ready for breakfast/brunch at a nearby business, we decided to stop by Froth for a coffee. I'm glad we did and not just because I need some caffeine after being up pretty late the night before! The service was great (really friendly barista) and fast (even though it's a one barista shop). It's small but had ample seating (not many others there already when we stopped by around 9/10am on a Sunday morning). Our coffees were good (I think we both stuck to classics - americanos or cortados). The space is cute and fun and it would be a comfortable coffeeshop to spend longer periods of time in (we had just stopped in to wait for our table, but someone else was already at work on his laptop and I could see why he'd like Froth for that). Nothing like a good pick me up after waking up at 5 in the morning to catch a train into New York! I got a honey lavender oat latte (recommended by my friend), and it was honestly probably one of the best lattes I've had in general. It was sweet and creamy, and the flavor of lavender was just subtle enough to not be too overpowering. There was only one barista when we went, so please be patient/prepare to wait (the line got longer after we came but since we beat the rush we waited less, about 15 minutes). Definitely a cafe you go to when you have more time to spare/want to chill however on the whole, great first impression! They also sell breakfast burritos & some other food to snack on! read more

Located on the Lower East Side, Froth is a vibey coffee spot that I will definitely come back to. The iced latte was strong and delicious. They had many inventive drinks on the menu. There is also a rewards program. Though the cafe is small, there is indoor and outdoor seating. Some super small tables and some for groups. I'm not sure if they have free wifi, but there were some people on laptops, so they might. I'll find out next time.
