I wandered in to have a few drinks and a bite to eat on my father's birthday. He passed some years ago and I wanted a quiet place to commemorate his memory. It was a cool setup. Not fancy but it had a chill vibe I liked. The drink prices were fair, their tots were delicious and the staff was on the ball as well as quite friendly. All in all I was quite pleased with my visit. There are a lack of places to watch sports and have a good place to hang. Salty Dog II is the place to go to watch sports. Staff really tries to make you feel comfortable and makes sure that you're taking care of. It's a neighborhood place which gives that home feeling. People here are nice and their selection of beers is amazing. Food is great and staff make sure it's right. Salty Dawg is a wonderful place to be and there is no place to look that a TV doesn't have the game on. read more

I've recently been going to salty dog it's close to home the bartenders I've gotten to know have been very kind .. Until tonight there was a an older female than usual ( as I knew) bartending she asked if if I wanted a menu I thanked and said no. She was very kind and with my drink order, however when I paid she accused me of mus treatment, she was mean I pleaded and asked her what I supposedly did she would not say. The service for a table of 12 and a busy Tuesday happy hour was decent. The server was also working the bar. I'm just about the entire place. The food was good. The tater tots were crisped just right. I like the flow and the different areas to sit whether it's at the bar, a high or standard table, all separate from the pool tables/gaming area. This is a bar with "food". Come here if you want a drink but not if you want a bite to eat. Should have known better when I walked in the bar was hopping but the tables and booths were empty. I ordered a water with no lemon, a western burger medium rare,fries with a side of ranch. What I got was a water with lemon. A burger that was grey and covered in BBQ sauce with cheese that had been solidified, a soggy onion ring nothing crisp about it. This was not a fresh made burger. They never brought me my side of ranch. And when my water ran dry it took her fifteen minutes to refill it. I get they were busy tending bar. And I am sure this is a great bar. But the food was awful and the price of 15.00 dollars for a horrible burger was not worth it. Come here to drink NOT to eat. read more

This has become my go to bar and from when I first started hanging out there, I was amazed at how all of the bartenders know everyone's "normal" food and drink orders. Everyone is friendly, people are genuine, and the service is quick. I saw a couple of negative reviews (one being really personal) that encouraged me to write a review. I don't get it. They have great daily specials and great prices, especially during happy hour. The regulars are friendly. They have the NFL Sunday Ticket during football season and show UA games and other sporting events. They did Super Bowl pools and have karaoke. It's a bar, so I wouldn't expect everyone and everything to be absolutely perfect every day because people have bad days, me included. I also think it's classy that they appreciate negative feedback on here and want to make positive changes. read more

The food is good for bar food. The service varies. Why can they not sufficiently staff a restaurant when they know it will be busy??? If you offer wings on a football night, does it not mean you need extra staff??? Makes sense to me. Owner should not let his wife serve. She is crabby, rude, and NOT helpful. We had a coupon for this place, so decided to try it on a Sunday afternoon for a late lunch. I ordered the chicken Philly sandwich on sourdough instead of a bun. For $1.25 I upgraded to onion rings. The sandwich was so-so, lacking much flavor. The onion rings were spectacular though, and came with a ranch dipping sauce. My husband got the pastrami sandwich with tator tots. Again, the sandwich was just ok, way more bun than needed for the amount of pastrami that was on it. The tots were great though. Service was friendly, but no one checked back with us after we got our food. Maybe she was just really busy on the other side of the bar. The bar had lots of tv's, so that'd be fun if there was a good game to watch. It also had some pool tables and a few arcade games. Tables were a mixture of high tops, regular tables, booths, and the bar. We did notice the floor was pretty sticky by our table. I'm not sure we'll be back. Went to watch NFL games Sunday. Apparently they were having trouble getting games. They didn't bother to tell anyone. I ordered a coke was.looking to order food. Then time for games came no games. I ask to pay for coke so I could go to another bar. I took 2 sips of coke. The waitress said nothing to me didn't apology for no games. Was very unfriendly because I was leaving well really staff was unfriendly when I walked. I asked where the game I wanted was she didn't another customer told then waitress took off not asking me for drink order. Lousy place lousy service. read more

Had dinner here last night, first time I've ever been in their facility, spotlessly clean, fairly modern decor and my beer was ice cold. Good menu, designed to satisfy a lot of taste, I had the Arizona cheesesteak and it was basically a cheesesteak with green chilies, prepared perfectly and very tasty. No one greets you when you walk in. There's not a sign to tell you to seat yourself. It takes about 5-10 minutes before anyone notices you to get menus. I don't think I've ever gotten napkins here and I've been 2 times. Service is just not it. Food: very mid. Nothing I've had here is like "OMG! I need to come back for this again!" We ordered from here last night through Doordash. My turkey club was nothing special. Plain white bread, turkey, ham, American cheese, lettuce and tomato for $10. I could have made the exact same sandwich at my house with these basic ingredients. I was hoping theirs would be slightly more upscale for the price. The middle peice of bread was completely burnt and they tried to hide it in between the sandwich instead of toasting a new piece. My fries were hard as a rock. My ladyfriend and I went to enjoy St. Patrick's day at this sports bar, the service we received was appalling! I am of Sicilian and Latin decent, and we just arrived from the Bahamas, I have an extreme sun tan. therefore, my skintone is darker than usual. I have never in my life felt discrimination like I did at this bar. It took them a long time to serve us, our drinks were empty and did not get refilled, they handed out free Guinness shirts and skipped our table, and when the food arrived it was cold and discusting. It took them forever to bring the bill that I was contemplating on just leaving; however, I am not a classless person. I paid my bill and told our impudent waitress how ghastly our experience was.
