We came here Sunday afternoon to watch football and grab lunch. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a huge screen and several smaller ones showing the games, which was great for catching all the action.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the nachos with shredded cheese, chicken, and beef. The chicken was a bit dry, but the beef was delicious. I also had a salad with the same beef, and it was really good. The green tea shots were tasty, as was the short, single Hornitos Blanco margarita. However, I found the Island Summer cocktail too bitter for me. I do wish they offered better hard seltzer options, like Maui or Belching Beaver. Just had Sunday burgers at red Garden saloon I had the patio melt my friend had the black and blue. They were both delicious. We got onion rings with one french fries with the other onion rings are so delicious. They're lightly coated not the heavy coating usually get nice and crunchy full of onion flavor the french fries were small and very crispy as in thin small that is in tiny. the burgers were juicy. Love the Red Garter! There's plenty of parking in the parking lot, there's an outside patio, plenty of pool tables (it takes 4 quarters for one game), an electric dart board, and bar stools to sit at the bar or regular tables with chairs. There's even pool tables in a smoking area outside. This is a perfect spot to meet with friends. The prices for drinks and food are very reasonable, and service is friendly. It was all great and the quality was beyond what we expected. While I wouldn't call this a "dive" it is definitely not the usual kind of bar/restaurant. I have been coming here for a few months, and Kianna and Kaitlin are awesome! I have not found bartenders with their caliber of service in even higher end places with "elite service". They are quick to serve, and always have great recommendations for drinks to get you out of your comfort zone. Wonderful to find this place in our neighborhood. Relocated permanently to Tucson in September 2021 - walked by here many times before visiting, from the outside I could take it or leave it - appears a bit 'dated' - DO NOT let that deter you from going inside.... Tried it in November 2021 - will be a repeat customer, likely every week. The menu is extensive which caused me some trepidation, when a place focuses on too many items, my experience is the food suffers (Think Cheesecake Factory) I had the fries (perfectly cooked), then the cheeseburger with onion rings (Again perfectly prepared) - 5 stars. Service from Kellie - 5 stars, bartenders super efficient, reasonably priced food / drinks. Four pool tables in the non smoking section, separated by four pool tables in the smoking section (glass divider). Place smells / looks really clean, bathrooms fully stocked and clean. My only criticism (jokingly) is the door to the outside squeaks by the pool tables - but I picked up a can of WD40 yesterday and will solve that issue next visit. Longtime favorite cleaned up and doing great. Red Garter has one of the best burgers in town. A delicious 1/2 burger on a fresh baked bun. Pick from a dozen specialty options or go old school with cheese and LTO. Either way - you will be happy. I had not visited since 2019, but made it back for a late night dinner after a UA baseball game. Four of us - including a couple of teenage boys - were quickly seated in the clean main dining room where we watched highlights on the several TVs surrounding us. I go to the movies at the Loft a whole bunch, and I always or mostly get something to eat before and after. My options have been limited to the same places, just for convenience, and some places close are just not good. I have been to the Red Garter late night with friends, but I forget about the food angle. I went Sunday night and had a patty melt, and it was pretty darn good and at a terrific price. I love a good burger and I am super stoked to have a burger so close to my movie place, a lazy guys dream!
