I'd say this was more like a 2.5 experience than a 3 in my book. Their biggest appeal is their large screen televisions to watch part of a football game before our flight. The food itself was unimpressive. We shared nachos as an appetizer. Veggies were fresh although they went overboard with the amount of onions. Cheese appeared to be of the melted cheese variety you get from movie theater nachos. Guacamole appeared to come from a container and did not taste fresh. My main course was fish and chips. Plenty of freshly fried fries. Fish was under seasoned and over-breaded. Cole slaw was ok. Service was basic with our server taking the order and bringing the check at the end. Have you ever been to an airport bar? How about one in a small regional airport? You get exactly what you would expect. The service is slow so if you're in a hurry, figure out what you want, order it in one fell swoop and you'll get it fast. Sitting at the bar was pretty quick service. The bartender recommended a martini that's on special for me and gave me the extra mix - so basically 2 for 1 tinis. Can't hate that. The clam chowder is all I ordered for food and it was delicious. Service was excellent! My waitress was extremely friendly and checked on my often to make sure I didn't need anything. I was able to substitute the kettle chips for fries with my lobster roll and it was a great choice. The fries were crispy and hot, how fries should be. They proceeded to pick the dog up and swap putting it on their laps while the dog shook repeatedly and stood up on their laps and put his face on the bar. To add to that disgusting behavior, while sitting at the high top with a couple gentlemen I had just met, we witnessed another woman take her dinner plate, put it on the floor and feed her dog off it. All three of us were thoroughly disgusted and appalled. Not sure, but I think you just lost about five customers within 15 minutes. There are two physical Sam Adams locations in MHT - this is the one closest to the central TSA security checkpoint - post security checkpoint. Stopped in here for breakfast one morning as I was flying out of Manchester-Boston Regional Airport home. I sat at the bar - I arrived early - just as they were opening. The bartender told me it would be a couple of minutes before she could take my order as she had a couple of minutes before she "clocked in." Okay - whatever. I ordered a Western omelette - with a side of bacon. The omelette was pretty good. The bacon was weird though. Sliced paper thin - and then served in a big wad that was all clumped together, Makes me think it was pre-cooked - then re-heated or microwaved right before sending out. What in the world of unseasoned chicken did I eat?! Disgusting. First off, I thought my calarmari was onion rings as I'd never been served them in that state. Not only were they umm... different. They were fried hard with no seasoning to the batter. The fish and chips... nope. Not even a grain of salt or a fleck of pepper is this food prepared with. I called the waitress over (dissolving almost purpose for the online ordering) and she informed me that there's no coffee as an option because it's not the breakfast menu. Look, it's an airport. If it's socially acceptable for me to have a martini at 6am you should feel comfortable offering folks a coffee in the afternoon. The limitations had just begun. There are about four lunch options. None sound very good in theory, and I will promise you, they were even worse in reality. Then again, the decision to order clam chowder at an airport in Manchester, NH, is my cross to bear. It is 2:30 pm on a Friday at Manchester airport. Upon entering the establishment, there are five people at the bar and one at a table. This is not a small place with seats for maybe 100 easily. I seated myself and the waitress was pleasant. There are no menus and one must scan the code located on the table to obtain one electronically. So I started digging in my carry on for the charger for my dead phone. At 2:33 pm one of the bartenders came over to tell me that I need to put my bag on the other side of me because she is expecting to fill the place. WTF really? It is now 3 pm and I have now sent my order over to the kitchen on my own. Five more people have been seated. I'm annoyed. The bartender keeps walking around looking at her watch. She's not serving anyone. I'm not coming here again. My waitress is very nice but I was ready to get out of here before I even got the food. The poor server was doing her best to navigate the situation but it seemed there were some planning issues on the part of the manager here. Apparently there was only one cook and after waiting for my beverage about 20 minutes I heard the senior server say they were not taking any more orders because they were backed up 45 minutes. The junior server was not allowed to go behind the bar so the senior server sort of made things worse by not helping serve beverages while the food was so delayed. I got there just at the right time and only got a beer and bowl of chowder so I didn't have to wait too long but I felt bad for the larger groups who were told it would be a while before they were served. read more

Look, you're stuck at the airport and you need food. You can deal with a two star place, and this is certainly one of them. You can get some decent food and a beer here, but only sit down if you have maybe 50 minutes or more to spare. This place is located just across from Gate 9. It replaced what used to be the McDonald's at MHT, which is a real bummer. Now your options for quick food before a flight are reduced to Quiznos, a bagel shop, Starbucks, and Dunkin Donuts (which is before security). McDonald's was, by far, the best fast food option. I think they had opened this place a tad early so that they were functioning for Thanksgiving. Half of the restaurant was still undergoing renovation and it smelled a bit of sawdust and adhesive. Moreover, the (very nice) waitress gave us a menu but informed us that most of it was not yet available, including all of the burgers and all but one of the entrees. We ordered sandwiches, which were fine, but priced for the airport. The reuben ($14) was fine and the lobster roll ($20) was pretty good. Sandwiches are served with chips, not fries. I think the primary selling point of this place, in addition to table service, is the beer. They do serve Sam Adams here (obviously), but beers aren't cheap. A 14 oz Sam Adams was $7.49. That's priced a bit above what the airlines charge on the plane - American Airlines, for example, serves 16 oz Sam Adams for $7, and there's no tax or tip. So if you just want a drink while you travel, you can just wait until you board. If you want even more reasonable alcohol for your travel, you would do best to check out the NH liquor store location at Gate 8. The service was friendly, but it took the better part of an hour to get two sandwiches and a beer. Look, you're a captive audience, and this place was set up with that in mind. So I would only go here if you have some time to kill, especially if you are boarding at Gate 9. read more

There are times every place fails to impress or successfully meet a guests expectations. In the case of this place in the MHT airport they have hit it every time I have been here. Breakfast is a simple offering of Eggs, meats and accompanying sides. You can get a decent cup of coffee and if you want pancakes or omelets your in luck. The wait staff is great and accommodating and I have never had a bad visit even if I did not check in on Yelp. Lunch and dinner are just as good and the drink selections with Brew are as good as any other MHT location. Veggie nachos... I could make a plate that would look just like these at home...for a child. unfortunately, as I'm GF + vegetarian, always limited options, as to be expected. There was no waitress and I asked the person in the kitchen if they were open (I yelled in; I didn't enter the kitchen). She said the waitress had not shown up yet. She gave me a menu and took my order. That was very nice of her. I had the hash skillet and it was a huge amount of food. I could not begin to eat it all. The hash tasted good but I'm sure it was out of a can. The scrambled eggs were over cooked and just OK. The sourdough toast was nothing to 'write home about.' The price was $12 plus tip.
