They were busy and understaffed (management issue), and I was actually okay with that because I've been in the biz and understand the nature of airport ebb and flow of customers. Great food and vibe for an airport setting. Good beer selection. I liked their burgers, tried em all. Usually made medium rare unless you ask otherwise. They come with kettle chips but you can ask for fries with instead. I've flown through MHT twice a week for the past year and have grabbed food in the Sam Adams Brewhouse pretty regularly. The food is ok, but the service is the worst (unless you sit at the bar) I've ever experienced in an airport, let alone any other restaurant/bar. This seems pretty specific to the location farthest from security, by gate 5. The sandwiches are ok, pretty standard airport fare. Burgers and the chili are pretty good. Bloody Mary's are also great for the area. However, almost every time I pass through I feel like my waitress has forgotten me at some point during my meal. I usually get my food ok, but after its dropped off, I apparently also drop off from the face of the world. It's like pulling teeth to get someone's attention - my waitress was always gossiping with the bartender with her back to me. My water was always empty. Even if I did get ahold of her and ask for the check, it's like she totally forgot the part where she needs to run my card before I leave. And it's not like they were swamped during rush hour - I think there were at MOST three other tables. So, if you need to eat here (not a ton of options in MHT), I would highly recommend eating at the bar where you can't be forgotten, or choosing the location next to security. Tends to be a bit busier, but better staffed. Oh, and I should also say that there's also a male with long hair that works at the far bar, and he is actually fantastic, so you are in good hands if you see him working! read more

So airport food usually wouldn't be something I would write a review about. But Sam Adams has this amazing sweet potato-avocado yummy thing on the app list. Crispy on the outside soft inside sweet potato chunks, feta cheese, avocado and some kind of sweet glaze make this the most amazing sweet potato dish I have ever eaten. Omg. Food was pretty good overall. Keep in mind, you are in an airport. My British husband was pretty happy with his fish & chips, which is saying something. Calamari was decent...wedge salad as well. Please don't sit down thinking you are about to have world class cuisine, but you will have a good meal. Service was pretty good as well; had two people serving us, one from front of house, one from back. All requests were taken care of in a timely manner. Had to request tomatoes for my wedge salad and ask for a lime for my Jack&Ginger w.lime, but again, taken care of quickly. As far as airport restaurants go, this one is actually quite decent. Stick to pub fare (burgers and appetizers) and you will do fine. I had the chicken caesar and it was excellent. The wait staff was quite attentive and willing to adjust my meal due to dietary preferences. There aren't a ton of options at MHT, but I'd come back if I were hungry waiting for my flight. read more

It took us 30 minutes at the bar to get a beer. They were turning people away saying "we won't serve you for a while, we're too busy." But we're literally the slowest moving bartenders I've ever had. I get them being short staffed but they weren't moving like they were short staffed. Probably should have read the reviews before sitting down, but we got to the airport early to have breakfast before our flight. So we sat down for pancakes for my husband and an omelet for me. It took 30 minutes for the food to come out despite only one other table being occupied, and there was no butter or jelly for the toast and pancakes and they had made me the wrong omelet. I tracked down the waitress who was chatting in the kitchen to ask for what we needed, it took another 20 minutes for the new omelet to come out, without the potatoes and toast which were supposed to come with it. When I asked for the potatoes and toast she took the omelet away and disappeared. All this with a mostly empty restaurant! Apparently all restaurants in the airport are staffed by one group, HMS, and they move people around without adequate training. Eat before you come read more

Absolutely AWFUL! We had an hour before we were required to board. We literally were leaving the restaurant and our food had not even been started. We orders a wrap and a chopped salad. Both were incorrect meals when we opened them. The salad was thigh meat over spinach and bacon tossed in. NO OTHER VEGGIES. Then the wrap had a few veg and goat cheese nothing else. How annoying that we paid $38 for this awful service and incorrect meals! Gross. They need to make major changes. read more
