Went in a couple of weeks ago because the glue they used was failing, and my rear glass was close to flying out. I did not expect a warranty repair after that long, but at least stand by your ads and repair it. Gave me a song and dance about glues not matching that years glue? Huh? remove all the old adhesive, and reglue. I asked to have a tech look at it. Sales person up front said $800 or go to a Mom and Pop shop. I love both my mom, and pop. I trusted them to care for me, and my well being, to love me. So I left and drove about two miles from them to Auto Glass Xperts. Mom greeted me at the door with a huge smile. Quickly had a couple of Xperts look at my glass and give me the lowdown. Yes, they can Repair, yes they can replace. Both services together less than the one option at Safelite. I had it repaired so I could go on a trip. I am back, and now I just had the new glass installed. Both still cost less than SL. The nerve of them to use the term "Mom and Pop", in such a derogatory fashion and think customers that choose smaller shops might not get the best service over theirs. AGX proved to be the Mom and Pop we all need. No catchy jingle, just savings that fold neatly in your wallet. You are paying for glass and labor, not commercials the other guys don't stand by anyway. Despite the hassle and unexpected expense, I had a very positive experience with Auto Glass Xperts from initial contact through the actual home visit and back window replacement. The woman who assisted me during my intake call was polite and professional, despite it being close to closing time. She explained the entire process to me as well as the charges, and assured me someone would come to my home the following afternoon between 1 and 5. I felt the price was reasonable enough that's I didn't bother to shop around for something better and booked my appointment. Brandon showed up at 1pm. He was very professional, courteous, and detailed oriented. He made sure I understood the process and made recommendations on how to deal with any remaining glass that their machines might not be able to vacuum up. He efficiently took care of my window and did a great job. Not only that but there were no surprise charges or anything like that. He also made sure to explain how long Auto Glass Xperts guaranteed their work and how long I should wait before any washing or tinting of my window. I really appreciate Brandon's professionalism and friendliness. It was obvious he took great care in his work and also enjoyed working with customers. I wanted to support a local small business so I hired this company to replace my driver side…read morewindow. Unfortunately the experience had a couple of significant issues that I can't overlook. Wrong Part Ordered: Right out of the gate, no one ever verified which window I needed replaced. The installer showed up with a windshield glass instead of a driver side window, which meant I had to wait an additional two days before work could even begin. A simple phone call or text to confirm the details beforehand would have completely avoided this. Installation Issues: Once the correct glass arrived, the installation didn't go smoothly either. The installer was unable to get the window rolling up and down correctly and ultimately left my door partially unassembled. After doing some research myself I discovered the window wasn't properly aligned with the side track. Once I aligned it myself everything worked perfectly. Bottom Line: The installer did offer a $75 discount which I appreciated, and he seemed genuinely eager to do good work. However at the end of the day I paid $250 for a job I largely had to finish myself. I'd suggest this company invest in more training before taking on jobs independently. I wish them well but cannot recommend at this time.

The scheduled time window for arrival was 12n to 5pm, however, Jose did not arrive until 6:40pm, which was okay for me since I had planned to work late anyway. To Jose's credit, he did keep me informed on his ETA a couple of times during the day. My job was his last of the day, following 5 or 6 prior appointments which I think is too many for a mobile installer to do in this 100 degree weather! (Again, this review is for Jose and not so much the Safelite schedulers who should have taken into consideration the summer heat for their mobile technicians.....pretty tough to work outdoors in the blistering sun/heat installing vehicle windows which could take 2 to 3 hours each!) Jose is extremely courteous and does an excellent job explaining the work to be done. Hardworking and professional, he got the job done in about 2 hours -- the new window installation looks great with the seals all done correctly. There was an issue with recalibrating the camera/safety system, but it was due to limited daylight as it was getting dark as well as the mobile calibration equipment being new technology. Jose helped to secure an appointment onsite for the next day, which I went to ..... I was in and out in about 40 minutes with my vehicle safety system restored. It now works as it should, giving me peace of mind on the road. Jose is a great mobile tech with a wonderful work ethic and disposition - I would not hesitate to use him again in the future!

They came to my home, replaced the glass. Fast forward to now, the glass is leaking. Person at the counter must be sales, because she tells me they can't repair it, only replace because the glue might not whatever. Um, remove glass, clean window sill, remove all old glue, reapply your best stuff today. Nope, with tax, over a hair under $800. I asked her to ask a tech to look at it. No one would. Told me I can go try a "Mom and Pop" shop." I had an awesome mom and pop, so I will. Drove about 2 miles to Autoglass Xperts. Not only could they repair it, explaining they could strip all the old adhesive, and reglue it, for a hair over $200, or replace it for $519 all in. Both of their options together still cheaper than Safelite, and the honesty that yes, it could be repaired. So what I paid for with Safelite, was the jingle, the snazzy commercial they couldn't even stand behind. You say the word "REPAIR", first in your ad. You couldn't even repair work you did and goofed. Your adhesive failed, yet you couldn't take the time to have a tech walk out to my car, in your parking lot to look and see, just had the person up front push for a sale of a new glass, then tell me take it or go to mom and pop. Mom and pop didn't have a lie of a jingle, and the money they saved me didn't jingle either, it folded to the tune of $300 over your price to replace. Now my glass is replaced, I saved a few hundred because you sent me elsewhere, rather than stand by your commercial, and repair the glass you installed. Save your money people. Autoglass Xperts are as mom and pop. They aren't charging you for ads they don't honor. They are charging you for glass and labor only. No bells, no lies, no catchy commercials. Have great lives in this gorgeous rainy day. If that rain is leaking into your car, don't bother with Safelite. Trust other ratings here.
