The staff here was super friendly and went above and beyond my expectations. I came into the store needing my engagement ring resized and they offered to fix my mother's wedding ring (bent prong) for FREE! They also did a fantastic job resizing my ring with no visible mark that they resized it. It was also very well priced. The jeweler was very nice and made sure I could identify my diamond under a magnifying device to ensure there would be no "diamond swapping" (apparently this happens at other jewelers without the customer knowing)!! I was feeling pretty bummed about my engagement and wedding rings recently due to how...lackluster they looked recently. I looked into different options and determined the best plan of action was to have them redipped in Rhodium. Apparently you should do this every 6 months to a year. Wish the jeweler had told us that from the beginning! (Please note the rings were not originally purchased at Sam Jewelry. I chose an ethical, eco-friendly option online.) I hadn't had them professionally cleaned or dipped in the two plus years I've had them. I yelped Sam Jewelry and dropped them off same day. It was two hours to closing and they graciously took my rings and told me they'd be ready in an hour or so...definitely before closing. Holy what?! I thought people had to drop their rings off for DAYS?? Not at Sam! I returned an hour later, after they'd called to let me know they were ready, and was STUNNED when I saw the result. They looked BRAND NEW again! I was so impressed with the service and the result and it honestly wasn't very expensive either. Over a year ago, my fiancé bought my ring online from another retailer and brought it to Sam Jewelry to be resized before proposing. The fiancé had some bad information (from me, oops) about my ring size and requested the wrong size, so I came back with him to Sam Jewelry to get it resized again. If I could give this place 10 stars I would! I made the mistake of getting my eternity ring too big even after the advice from Sam and Lin to go a half size smaller. I was stubborn and stuck with a looser fit because I *thought* that is what I preferred. Well after a week of wearing my GORGEOUS ring I quickly found out the ring was too big! So I made my way back to Sam Jewelry with my tail tucked between my legs to get my ring smaller and to my shock they were so understanding and happy to help make it right for me. Extremely shady and dishonest business. My fiance' purchased a GIA certified diamond engagement ring for me from BrilliantEarth.com but unfortunately the band was too large. Brilliant Earth offered to resize the band for us, but I was so excited to wear it that I wanted to look into local options for resizing rather than mail it back and wait for Brilliant Earth to resize it. This place had good reviews so we decided to come in and get their opinion on if they could resize the band and how long it would take. Upon presenting the ring to the owners of the store (a male and female asian), they IMMEDIATELY declared that what my fiance' purchased wasn't a real diamond and that it was moissanite (which is a lab made and cheaper diamond alternative). They did this by glancing at the ring in the box. Then they proceeded to ask him how much he paid for it with me standing right next to him, essentially trying to embarrass him and act like he got duped and bought a cheap ring. The ring that he purchased was actually a great quality, natural diamond. Then they "tested" the diamond twice with one of their devices and again stated that it was NOT a diamond. We were so concerned by what they said that we immediately made an appointment with a gemologist jewelry appraiser who was able to dispute what they had told us and confirm that what we purchased was in fact a REAL diamond (NOT moissanite) great quality and it had the corresponding number that matched the GIA certificate engraved INSIDE OF IT. Extremely shady and dishonest people. I'm glad that I didn't leave my ring with these people, who knows what they would've done with it behind closed doors. This store is a gem, pun intended. All joking aside, I'm very pleased with the help that I received! I had my cousin join me when I was getting my fiancée's ring. Sam's has been able to help several of my cousins with their wives' rings. I'm glad that they've taken care of my family so far and that they were able to take care of me. They brought out a setting with a floral pattern, which was perfect since my fiancée loves flowers. I loved the setting and I was so impressed that they had what I was looking for. My only concern was that the band was too thick since she wanted a thin band. And this is where Sam's Jewelry really distinguished themselves. Making sure I gave my fiancée what she needed, they asked me what she does for work and after I mentioned she works in an environment where gloves are required, it was recommended that this setting would keep the diamond secure even with the gloves coming on and off at work. It's something that I never would have considered and I stayed with their suggestion. After I popped the the question, my fiancée loved the ring. My final choice couldn't be more perfect. It's daunting to make such a big financial decision but my experience was so pleasant thanks to his family helping me. They took their time to explain everything related to rings and didn't pressure me into getting anything I didn't need. Sam's is worth a visit to at least learn more about ring shopping but hopefully you'll let them help you the way that they helped me. Sam and his family is AWESOME! My now husband found Sam on Yelp, and went to him to help design my engagement ring when he was shopping around for styles and rings he liked for me. Sam was very patient and helpful, and was willing to negotiate pricing based on the different styles and diamond sizes... and there are so many choices and ideas to choose from. After we got engaged, we continued to go to Sam to get our wedding bands (both mine, and his), and he and his family continued to be super helpful and welcoming each time we came in. Since my engagement ring was specifically designed, Sam was able to take the engagement ring design and recreate something similar to my first ring and I absolutely loved it!
