I needed to have the roof replaced on the estate house within 30 days for insurance purposes. I contacted Vaz Construction and was connected with Elijah DeSouzs as my project manger. He was the best. Kept in touch with me on a timely basis, always on time for on-site appointments, knowledgeable about the roof products and friendly and kind. We were able to get the job done within my time frame. The roofing crew worked from morning until night and they were great! They left no mess or debri in the yard. If you need any construction work done, call Vaz and ask for Elijah. You won't be sorry.

What started off seeming like a good company, ended up not being so good. No communication, lack of…read moreurgency, no attention to detail always a different person on the job which caused a-lot of problems. One guy would be there for three days and then someone new would show up and have no clue what the last guy did. One of the employees painted the bathroom walls without even wiping the walls down after sanding. What a mess and it had to all be redone, which I am sure would not have happened if I did not complain. At one point, I had to tell the project manager that I did not want anyone in my home until I met with him. The lack of craftsmanship, and integrity was upsetting to say the least. Who puts kitchen cabinets in before painting??? Once the job was complete, it took Vaz Construction another month to come back and finish the things that were not completed. Overall the experience was very disappointing, even more-so with the amount of money they charged us for their sub par work.

I am still in the process of having 6 Harvey Majesty Wood windows installed. I am having issues…read more 2 of the sashes have smudges in between the panes of glass. 2 of the sashes have imperfections in the wood. 4 of the sashes have crocked locks on them. Most of them i can barely open. A Harvey sales rep came to my house and looked at them. First thing he said to me was "be careful what you say to the repair guys, cuz, you know..some people can't be satisfied". Nice customer service. Few weeks later what I think was the repair man showed up. I was explaining the issues to him, and when I said most of them are very hard to open, his reply was "well, they're wood windows." Are you kidding me? I am alone and I am an older lady so I wasn't going to start an argument with him. He replaced one of the windows weather stripping, now it opens fine, the others he simply sprayed the sides with pledge, that didn't work. When he saw the locks he said "that's nothing". This process is not over yet and I'm hoping for the best. I wrote to what I think is the corporate office but is probably just the same people I've been dealing with. As of now, I would NOT recommend Harvey products.

After sending him a picture of the problem he responded with an estimate, which was very reasonable, and said he could do the job that day. Chris completed the job, which was much more involved than what he expected, in a couple of hours. His work was meticulous and reflective of a true craftsman, so much so that I am going to hire him to do more work in my kitchen. If you need a skilled handyman who takes great pride in his work and who will work for very reasonable wages, then Chris is your man.

A rep came out to look at the window, found the broken balancer and took it with him telling me that they will get a replacment part and call me back with date for repair. After 3 weeks and 4 follow up calls in which I was continually told that they were waiting for the manufacturer - here's what really happened: The part sat on someone's desk for 3 weeks and after my 4th follow up call it was given to someone who took 3 hours to tell me that the part would take 10 business day, after payment and that I would need 2 balancers since they come in a kit of 2 - Total cost $295.00 *I DON'T THINK SO!"
