OMG what can I say, this place is heaven! You can get really cute fashion jewelry at such an inexpensive price! I'm from Los Angeles and I really loved coming here. I was surprised to see that they had so many current styles and it was all so cheap. This is basically the motherload of all accessory type places. Purses galore, jewelry, headbands, scarves, whatever your fancy, they've got it. Saturdays can get to be real hectic around there, so I recommend going on a weekday when it's slower. I also love the luggage and gifts place next door. This is my first time here and I am not happy with the customer service!!! My family is here from out of town, my aunt wanted to shop here because she LOVES accessories. She found a coverup that she loved, for $5. One of the workers over heard us say that it was $5 and immediately came over. She told us that it was $22 instead and insisted that WE take the price tag off. We decided to keep the coverup. The worker followed us around the store asking us to take the $5 tag off. After being harassed, we eventually gave it to her. Once we got to the register and asked for a manager. We explained the situation to her. She then asked if we'd take her over to were the item was. I walked over with her and was greeted by the worker who'd followed us around. Again, I explain the situation to the manager and the worker intervened. The manager then said that they were doing inventory and maybe a kids changed the price and we would have to pay the $22. The did not honor the price that was on the item. Customers are not responsible for pricing errors. I will not spend my money in Sam Moon! read more

Wanted to make an exchange of an item I had purchased & was suddenly recited conditions that no one made me aware of when I made my purchase. And then the lady just walked away. It has also been the FOREVER Go-To for the beauty-pageant crowd and for people who re-sell their products in little small town boutiques and at places like Canton. If you go in expecting Neiman Marcus service, you are going to be disappointed. If you are expecting Kohl's level of service, there's a good chance you are going to be disappointed. This is not a Fair-Trade place that you can visit with your friends about over coffee. This is not a retail outlet where an attendant named Mary-Kate is going to bring you endless wardrobing options. People come here for selection & price when they need to jazz up a holiday party outfit, compete in a pageant, or find that perfect item for prom. DO NOT EXPECT YOUR $6 4" LONG RHINESTONE EARRINGS TO BECOME HEIRLOOM QUALITY PIECES. Expect them to last one evening, two if you're really lucky. All that being said, I love it because it's fun, I prefer to shop on my own rather than be hounded by sales people, and there's nothing in the entire store that's not within budget, and everything doesn't look cheap, some of it does, but if you have a good eye you can easily find J Crew or Nordstrom jewelry dupes for next to nothing. I literally was walking through Neimans one time and a sales lady stopped to ask if the earrings I was wearing were from one of their fall collections. She didn't know what to say when I told her I had found them at Sam Moon. She recovered quickly, with the old "well, I guess it's just how you put it all together!" adage, which we both appreciated. There was a great selection. I didn't wear a tiara, but was tempted after I saw all the choices here. This is a great place for items that aren't real durable, but kinda fun. Returns were a little intimidating, there was makeup on the shirt ( I don't wear any and had tried it on briefly at home) a clerk became very upset. The owner took care or my return without problems. I bought a 10 foot iPhone charger from this place. When I took it home and attempted to charge my phone it didn't work. I tried to return it a couple days later and they wouldn't return it because I didn't have my receipt. Who keeps a receipt for a charger. Besides, it was a gold 10 foot charger. No one else sells these. You can't just pick this up at Walmart or Target. I'm done with these people. I will not go back!!! read more

So the "knock offs" aren't really knock offs, not successful ones anyway. The Louis V Damier pattern is copied but w/out the LV. The Coach pattern aren't C's, but G's. What's worse than not having a designer bag is having one that is poorly imitated. Don't embarrass yourself like that. Terrible parking situation on weekends. Lots of women and some very confused men up in that biatch. Their stuff is cheap cheap cheap, in price and quality. Nothing I've ever bought here has lasted more than a few months. In fairness I'm pretty rough with my belongings. "This is why we can't have nice things" was the most repeated phrase of my childhood. They have tons of really cute stuff and who cares if it breaks b/c it's only about $8 a pop. I'd steer clear of their body jewelry b/c I highly doubt it's surgical grade. The place is pretty large and ladies you can seriously spend an entire afternoon here. They have scarves, wigs, luggage, totes, hats, wallets, pretty passable engagement rings for about $40. My girlfriends and I came up with what I thought was a pretty clever idea which was wearing an "engagement ring" when we had girls night so we didn't have to deal with strange guys trying to crash our good times. One time at Serrano's a couple next to us asked me if she can see my ring and where did my fiance get it if I don't mind them asking. Busted. I totally panicked and lied to them, passing it off as real. She was telling her boyfriend she wanted a ring just like that. Good luck buddy, the two of y'all need to get busy asap cuz had this ring been real it would probably cost you your firstborn. They were inspecting it and saying things like "oooh the clarity." So the ring was pretty real looking, or what's more likely is that these two younguns have no idea what diamonds look like. Their return policy is that there is none, so whatever you want, make sure you want it, but at such rock bottom prices, it'll cost you more to drive there to return stuff than you'll get back. read more

Sam Moon is your source for cheap designer knock-off handbags and luggage. This store, specifically, has a lot of cute jewelry and accessories, like cell phone charms, tiaras, sunglasses, etc. Be prepared to fight crowds, because this place gets insanely busy sometimes. read more

If I could give them a -100 rating I would. Running around in my yoga gear and a hat, with my 2 year old, I wasn't dressed as "fancy" as the other white customers, but my money is just as green. It's SAD as an African American trying to shop in a minority owned business I had to have the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I'VE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE!!!! I asked to see one of the crystal rings in the glass case, the worker Scott tells me I had to wait for the other customers to finish viewing rings. I ask if someone else can help me and Scott proceeds to tell me they are short on staff and everyone else is on cash registers. Mind you, these are NOT diamonds and with all of the cameras and security, I'm not sure what they are keeping from being stolen in front of Scott's face on a Wednesday afternoon of SLOW business. I politely walk off as I began to get upset. When I return after finding another employee across the store to assist me, lo and behold Scott is now helping another white customer and allowing her to look at the crystal ring she chose while the 1st set of white customers were STILL there. I was APPALLED and in UTTER DISGUST to be treated like this. NO ONE should EVER have to experience what I did! My child and I immediately left and will NEVER RETURN. read more

I've had my worst experience visiting this store. I purchased an "evening bag" on Friday thinking I would wear it out Saturday. When I went to wear it and put my belongings inside, I realized the magnetic clasp wasn't too strong and I often found the bag open while walking around my apt. I decided not to wear it and wanted to return. When I arrived Monday in the mid afternoon, I was basically interrogated saying it was an evening bag and non returnable. I overlooked this on the receipt but it was understandable. However, I refuse to waste $20 on a bag that will not securely fasten. I asked the so called "manager" if I could get a store credit and she said I should have brought it in 24 hours after knowing it was defective. Wtf! Unacceptable. It had only been 2 days. I demanded a store credit to spend at the other location and I received just that. Her customer service towards a paying customer was unacceptable and I'm not the type to tolerate stereotyping or judgement as if I'm the reason the bag did not work due to wear. I don't need to wear a bag once and get my money back. I genuinely wanted to keep the bag and wear it often. I will never shop here again. read more

I've been shopping at Sam Moons for 10+ years. Some things are overpriced (I'm not paying $50 for a knock off purse that feels and looks cheap) but overall, it's a great place to find cheap accessories. It's basically like shopping in China Town! Take note, though: cheap price = cheap quality. This is not jewelry or accessories you want to purchase with a plan to make them heirlooms. It's the place to go for great scarves, fashion jewelry that you only plan to wear out at night or to a wedding, etc. I find it's helpful to know how to shop cheap. Don't buy a bracelet with tons of little diamond studs b/c in two months, those studs will fall out. Buy sterling silver (which they have), metal bangles and necklaces, etc. Those things won't fall apart as fast b/c they don't have as many "working parts" as say, a huge, sparkly dangle earring studded with fake jewels and beads. read more

Came here for the first time about 2 months ago and fell in love!! It is like a Costco for accessories. I wish they had this place back in California! How can you go wrong with a $7 necklace when your goal is to build up your costume jewelry wardrobe. They sell the stuff department stores carry but Sam Moon has the items for $5-$15 still wrapped in the ugly wrap from China, where the department stores put it in pretty little boxes and charge $20-$80 for the same items. If you are looking for a huge variety of costume jewelry and knock off purses and don't mind a crowd, this is the place to go. If you are all about name brands, stay far away. Cheap purses and jewelry for any occasion.

Sam Moons are great for finding the perfect earrings, purse or accessory. But, it's always crowded and the parking lot is down right dangerous! The sales staff aren't friendly at all. One night (they close early like 7pm) we were there to get earrings for one of my daughters and the area had higher priced items so it's separated from the rest of the store and you're watched a bit. We were looking for only a few minutes having no idea they closed so early and when we went to pay they acted as if all the registers might be closed. I said something about not realizing they close so much earlier than most stores and the lady says,"why did you think we were vacuuming?" and without thinking I said,"I jut thought you were rude!" We did get the earrings! But I'll go early from now on. Don't expect any customer service here, but bring your check book and your credit cards. It's all at great prices and you'll want a lot of goodies! It's very clean too! ; ) read more
