Sam's Donuts & Bagels (Arcadia) is not bad. I ordered the Chocolate Donut with Nuts ($1.75). It's fresh with clean ingredients. (Important: Credit and Debit Cards are only accepted with an $8 minimum purchase.) I arrived at Sam's Donuts & Bagels (Arcadia) on a Tuesday (around 6:30AM). Parking is available but cramped. The sign says, "Customer Parking Only - No Overnight Parking from 9PM to 4:30AM." Staff is businesslike, impatient, and terse. When I asked for a certain donut that looked less squished, Staff abruptly exclaimed, "They're all the same!!" Staff is not very welcoming. Concerning ambiance, the location smelled like faint cigarettes. There was also a crying baby in the back the entire time. The location is fairly clean, but I wanted to rush out of that place. I didn't feel comfortable in this location. There are tables to sit. And there's also an "employees restroom," but I noticed that Staff was willing to let other customers use it. We happened to stumble across this place one morning when we were craving bagel sandwiches and have been frequenting here ever since. Their Vietnamese coffee is amazing, and their boba teas are even better! The teas are so refreshing, never too sweet. The bagel sandwiches are so good. The place is nice and clean. The donut texture is on the soft and pillow side. Service is good and noise level is low. This place has a good variety of choices for breakfast. Donuts are good but not as consistent. Not sure if I got some older donuts but there were a few times they were dry. The service is average. It looks like it's just a couple running the place with kids in the store. It's tough but I give them props for opening the place. Gives locals another option for donuts. read more

I called for a large order for pickup around 8am. The lady who answered was super nice and made sure all 10 orders were correct and said it would take around ~15min. When we arrived we were greeted warmly by the owners. They have a wide variety of donuts, bagels, breakfast sandwiches, and lunch sandwiches. I got the egg and cheese croissant and it was delicious. Everyone who ordered with me also said their bagel and sandwiches were yummy! Come earlier if you want popular bagel flavors like everything bagel because they run out quick! The prices are reasonable and portion sizes were great. This is a small local family owned business that was recently renovated under new owners. The best bagel sandwich I've ever had in my life was over 5 years ago, from West Side Bagel in Lahaina, Hawaii, which had to close after the Lahaina fires. Since then, I have not had a bagel sandwich that rivaled how good that one was...until NOW. I got a bagel sandwich (B4) from Sam's and LET ME TELL YOU GUYS. Their bagel sandwich was FANTASTIC. One of the best things about it is the melty cheese. Every single ingredient they use in their sandwiches is good quality, especially the bagel dough, which makes a huge difference. I have been back 2 more times since then and both have been great. If I had to give any feedback to improve, it would be to please put more slices of ham, not just one :D read more

Used to patronize Arcadia Donuts until I eventually got turned off by the previous owner's constant attempt to capitalize on their association with a victim of the MPK situation years ago to present. Upon finally noticing the change to the store signage and learning that the shop was under totally new ownership, I decided to stop by for a quick breakfast pickup around 8am on a Sunday morning. Was immediately greeted by a polite and heavily preggo gal. Kuddos to her for being on her feet since opening time and still having such a pleasant demeanor. I could never tbh. Lol. The donut case was full and options were plentiful. Only ate a cinnamon crumb donut so far out of the dozen that I purchased, which was fresh, super fluffy, and didn't leave me in a diabetic coma. Inside of the shop had a total refresh and was given new life over the previously dreary and minimalist interior than before. Much more inviting now. Pricing is on par for a mom & pop donut shop. Also appreciate the more extensive sandwich and drink menu offerings, and the fact that I can finally get my Green Thai Tea fix close to home while running errands at the crack of dawn. Sometimes, you can't wait for other tea places to open at noon and just need a quick hit of boba when you're out in the wild with the local senior citizens at sunrise, and now there's a solution for that. read more

Cute and cozy little donut shop with super sweet and nice owners. They've always given us extra donut holes whenever we make a purchase, which is super nice. The donuts are light and fluffy. I also enjoy the Vietnamese coffee here, they give you such a huge amount/cup for what you pay for compared to other larger corporate places. I'd rather get a coffee here and support smaller business like Sam's rather than get more overpriced coffee (and it's weaker) at Paris Baguette across the street. Amazing! Ingredients are as wholesome as it can. I bought roast beef bagel sandwich (Nevada) and smoked turkey croissant sandwich (green apple) and freshly juiced drink (apple-beet-orange- a touch of ginger). Uses Boar's deli meat (the finest) that comes with sprouts, avocado, and other veggies. To top it, freshly juiced drink. No added preservative or sweet. Natural and fresh. I'm so happy that I stumbled upon this place, I've been so upset that Goldstein's bagels in Arcadia closed so I was thrilled to find an Arcadia bagel sandwich spot. The first time I came here I got a ham and cheese croissant and a Vietnamese coffee and both were AMAZING. And the man and lady were so sweet and lovely, the nice lady even gave me a free donut! Since then I have had a BLT croissant sandwich, the bacon was crisp and good quality, not like nasty chain microwaved bacon, and their croissants are so yummy and well baked! I also had the Vietnamese coffee again, it's addictive, and a Beet and Carrot juice which was fresh and delicious! The donuts are fresh, fluffy and SOOO good! I'm so happy this place is in Arcadia, it's nice and clean and new looking and everything so far is fresh and good quality. My new go-to coffee/tea/juice and breakfast spot! I came in a month ago and was pleasantly surprised by the remodeling of the store. Sam was great in terms of service and just being nice. The lady who helped was pregnant! Her son was there with her. We came here around 4:15 pm Saturday. My 2 kids were hungry after we left the library. This newly opened shop is near our home. I only came here because the reviews made it seem like it was fresh and good. But it's not good! First, I payed 7.75 for a bacon egg and cheese croissant. For one croissant sandwich! I mean I know prices are going up everywhere but I would've just went to a mainstream coffee shop for that price are you kidding.
