Chicken pickle panini
Lily Z.

What a cute panini shop to stumble upon! We were captured by the fresh carrot juice sign and it tasted so good! We also tried the chicken pickle panini and the tartness from the pickle just hits you with so much umami. Sam was also very welcoming.

I came back to try my third panini at Sam's! This time I got the pulled chicken. On it is rotisserie chicken, garlic spread and pickles. It was so flavorful and delicious! Sam's paninis are authentic italian paninis made with such flavorful ingredients - I highly recommend. There are tables outside to sit and enjoy the sun or tables inside to enjoy on a colder day. Sam is great and is super helpful in guiding you on which panini to pick.

The owner is so friendly.I can see every detail shows how much passionate he is about his business. Clean, simple and tasty! Don't miss it out.

The owner was extremely kind and helpful, and the food was delicious! We got the sausage + pickle & ham + cheese paninis. You can really taste the quality in the ingredients. They were well-balanced, simple but substantial, and the bread had a great texture. Not greasy at all like paninis can often be. Will definitely be back whenever I get a chance. :)

After discovering this gem a few weeks ago, it has since become one of my favorite lunch spots. I'm craving another cheddar baguette just writing this review. So yummy.

What a great cute little place! It was my first time here and I was welcomed and greeted right away. Owner Sam is so sweet! I ordered the garlic chicken panini and the ham and cheese! Both simple but so flavorful! That garlic chicken with pickles was my favorite and I'm not even a chicken person. I had a pomegranate San pelligrino which was also good. Will def come by again to try that falafel on lavash. Thanks Sam!

Some sandwiches come with lots of meats and some are saucy and some get cheesy like some in SF. There are some famous and historical places to grab sandwiches in North Beach like Molinari and Freddie's. There is also a place on Columbus Avenue by Joe DiMaggio playground park on which has a French name and serves up some of San Francisco finest sandwiches and it's called" Le Sandwich ". On a Winter season stroll in the beginning of 2026 , I landed at Le Sandwich. This place has lots of sandwiches available made by Chef Elias. I decided to try their Primo ( means Prime in Italian) sandwich. I have to say this is one of the tastiest sandwiches I had in San Francisco. It had meats which were tender such as Genoa Salami, coppa, and ham. It's has melting provolone which made it cheesy like some in SF. They also have FikaLove which is baked goods available like chocolate croissants and cinnamon buns for Fika( Swedish for Coffee break). San Francisco is the place where you can get international foods without the" jet lag" by a park close by were as a kid I use play "tag"and the sandwiches are so big they stick out the " paper bag "and inside has of lots decor from international countries including the "USA flag". Grab a Chef Elias at Le Sandwich tasty sandwiches he will "make" get Fika desserts like some in SF that "flake" Fika in Swedish means when you "take "afternoon "coffee break "

The sandwich I got was also delicious. The corned beef tastes great and the sandwich holds together well so it's easy to bite through and hold.

Hello locals and visitors! If you're in the area, this place is a MUST-TRY!…read more It has that small, family-owned, hole-in-the-wall feel--and sometimes those are the places with the best food! The gentleman at the register was nice and welcoming. They have a great variety of food to choose from, including sandwiches, burgers, spaghetti, pizza, wings, and more. This was hands down the BEST food we had during our 4-day visit to San Francisco! I especially want to give a huge shout-out to the cook, Victor! You may think, "It's just pizza and wings," but NO--Victor made everything to perfection! The wings were cooked well done, just how we like them, with the perfect crispy texture. The pizza was delicious too! I only wish we had found this place on our first day. We ended up having dinner here on the last two nights of our vacation because we loved it that much! They also offer a 3% discount if you pay with cash. We paid around $35 for a small pizza (6 slices) 10 wings, and a drink. It was more than enough food for two people, and we even had leftover pizza. if you buy 1 slice of pizza the slices are pretty big. Other places we were spending almost $50 for two people each meal. I truly hope this place stays in business for many years to come. Great food, friendly service, good portions, and reasonable prices. If you're in San Francisco, give this place a try--you won't regret it! Five stars from us!

Pizza on the weekend at midnight after watching sporting event after a few adult drinks at a bar, club ,and show count me in. I am always open to having local based pizzerias to enjoy a good pizza pie. Hearing about this place having three restaurants across San Francisco made it sound like a chainstore pizza joint like Pizza Butt( I mean Pizza Hut). I have tried this place before and it's local to San Francisco and I wanted to give it a whirl in person. On a Spring stroll down Lombard and Van Ness where the hotel and motel signs are over mile deep I wanted to try an American favorite which are pizza pies. Pizza pies have become more American than apple pies these days . I went inside Chico's and tried their pepperoni and sausage before Good Friday approaches. The pizza slice was kind of cheesy like some in SF and it had pepperoni and sausage but not too saucy . The dough was pretty doughy but flakey like some in SF. It reminded me of some old school style of San Francisco pizza which is good paired with a case of beer. Finding pizza after midnight in San Francisco is pretty "hard "the pizza at Chicos is pretty doughy and the cheese was a bit "charred "located at "Lombard" which is a street but starting on Van Ness resembles a "boulevard " Come to Lombard street in the Marina where people "dwell "among the over 30 different" hotel"and "motel" but Chicos is the place where you'll find in SF the cheesy pizza "smell"

It is nice to eat inside when wind is heavy. Service is fast and efficient--they are used to dealing with crowds. We were here for World Cup and glad they had a couple of big TVs with games playing. We started with some Blue Moon drafts--only $5 and just perfect. We both ordered the clam chowder bowls and an order of garlic fries. The chowder was excellent and you cannot beat a good sourdough bowl. I added bacon which i HIGHLY recommend. The fries were a nice surprise, clearly fresh and with great flavor. We were both pleased. Definitely worth a visit.

Food was fairly price for fish and chips but it was very underwhelming. My stomach started messing up in the middle of eating my food to the point I had to get up and take it to go. The fish seemed like it was mostly oil and the fries were very few. I wouldn't come back to any place I have to get up in the middle of my food because my stomach is hurting from eating something that's suppose to be fresh. There are a lot of other good options to choose from in the area.
