Found this place walking around bright and early in SF and it was one of the only spots we saw open. It was such a pleasant surprise stopping in here. I picked up a box of pastries for everyone and was recommended the Almond Bearclaw which was delicious. I picked up a cream filled glazed crumb donut which was the BEST. I would come back just for that it was seriously incredible. We also grabbed a latte, raspberry danish and an apple strudel. There was only one person working and with this being the only open spot it was a bit busy. Perfect place to stop by if you're in the area before 8am when other businesses start opening up! Great pastries and coffee.

Positives: conveniently located in fisherman's wharf, close to shops and tourist destinations. The person working was very kind and made our food as fast as she could with all her other orders. She even threw in a little fudge dessert for my girlfriend's bagel. Negatives: I know rent must be high in this neighborhood, but if I'm paying $15 for a sandwich, I expect there to be more than 1 thin slice of Turkey meat. Same for my girlfriend's lox bagel; just one thin slice of salmon. I'm willing to pay SF prices anywhere I go, but adding a bit more substance to the food isn't going to break the bank. It's like someone just set up shop in a high traffic neighborhood, minimally staffs the place, serves bare minimum offerings and over charges for low quality food.

We came here looking for a quick bite to eat and coffee while waiting for a bus to Muir Woods. There were barely any customers where many of the surrounding cafes and restaurants were packed, which we probably should have taken as a sign. We ordered a ham and cheese on an English muffin ($7), and a salmon avocado cream cheese croissant. I could have made the English muffin sandwich in our hotel room. The salmon avocado was fine enough, but the vegetables were old and soggy. The cappuccinos were decent and the woman at the counter was sweet. Unfortunately, I do not recommend this cafe, if you are looking for a quick stop, head somewhere else.

$2.50 to add cream cheese(or lack there of) to a bagel

Baked goods are not fresh and delivered but staff is nice. For $4 per pastry I expect freshly baked goods.

Some sandwiches come with lots of meats and some are saucy and some get cheesy like some in SF. There are some famous and historical places to grab sandwiches in North Beach like Molinari and Freddie's. There is also a place on Columbus Avenue by Joe DiMaggio playground park on which has a French name and serves up some of San Francisco finest sandwiches and it's called" Le Sandwich ". On a Winter season stroll in the beginning of 2026 , I landed at Le Sandwich. This place has lots of sandwiches available made by Chef Elias. I decided to try their Primo ( means Prime in Italian) sandwich. I have to say this is one of the tastiest sandwiches I had in San Francisco. It had meats which were tender such as Genoa Salami, coppa, and ham. It's has melting provolone which made it cheesy like some in SF. They also have FikaLove which is baked goods available like chocolate croissants and cinnamon buns for Fika( Swedish for Coffee break). San Francisco is the place where you can get international foods without the" jet lag" by a park close by were as a kid I use play "tag"and the sandwiches are so big they stick out the " paper bag "and inside has of lots decor from international countries including the "USA flag". Grab a Chef Elias at Le Sandwich tasty sandwiches he will "make" get Fika desserts like some in SF that "flake" Fika in Swedish means when you "take "afternoon "coffee break "

The sandwich I got was also delicious. The corned beef tastes great and the sandwich holds together well so it's easy to bite through and hold.

Pizza on the weekend at midnight after watching sporting event after a few adult drinks at a bar, club ,and show count me in. I am always open to having local based pizzerias to enjoy a good pizza pie. Hearing about this place having three restaurants across San Francisco made it sound like a chainstore pizza joint like Pizza Butt( I mean Pizza Hut). I have tried this place before and it's local to San Francisco and I wanted to give it a whirl in person. On a Spring stroll down Lombard and Van Ness where the hotel and motel signs are over mile deep I wanted to try an American favorite which are pizza pies. Pizza pies have become more American than apple pies these days . I went inside Chico's and tried their pepperoni and sausage before Good Friday approaches. The pizza slice was kind of cheesy like some in SF and it had pepperoni and sausage but not too saucy . The dough was pretty doughy but flakey like some in SF. It reminded me of some old school style of San Francisco pizza which is good paired with a case of beer. Finding pizza after midnight in San Francisco is pretty "hard "the pizza at Chicos is pretty doughy and the cheese was a bit "charred "located at "Lombard" which is a street but starting on Van Ness resembles a "boulevard " Come to Lombard street in the Marina where people "dwell "among the over 30 different" hotel"and "motel" but Chicos is the place where you'll find in SF the cheesy pizza "smell"
