    Special Stromboli! Loaded w/meats & veggies! 10/10
    Anita W.

The other reviews have me shaking my head in bewilderment... my mom was born & raised in Lancaster, PA and her family from Pequea & Mt. Joy have regularly eaten here for many, many years... my parents & I (we live in central Maine & have always come to PA 1-3x a year to visit family (as in for the past 38 yrs) and as far back as I remember, we always have tried to hit Sam's each trip down. The service has always been superb! Friendly, attentive - wonderful! And the Strombolis!! SOOOOO DELICIOUS!! Wish we had a Sam's in Maine!

We've always enjoyed a reliably delicious dinner from Sam's for over 20 years. Glad to support this family-owned business. We love their mushroom and sausage pizza, and their cheesesteaks (mushroom and Cali style), and a toasted Italian sub. I often get their Greek salads with Cajun chicken. And we sometimes just get spaghetti or other pasta dinners. Yum! Everything is good.

I love Sam's chicken parm sandwiches and dinners and their salads. The lunchtime and takeout service has been good.

Why did everything have a smell to it? The beer tasted like BUTTER. The pizza tasted like BO. Like an actual armpit.

The staff looked overworked, there was no manager, and the food was cold. They nickel and dime you for every little side of sauce.

One of the chefs even gave each of us a small tasting plate during our meal, which was such a fun and intimate gesture for this space! We absolutely loved both of the pasta dishes we got. Everything tasted amazing, and so incredibly fresh!! We ordered an appetizer of the bread to start with, this was the only disappointing part of the meal to me. The bread was very crusty, which is not my preference, I was expecting soft bread to dip into the sauces. The flavor of the sauces on the side were excellent. I would definitely come back here. If I lived near this location, the ambience is casual, yet it gives fine dining vibes with the quality of food! The service was great as well, and we really appreciated them fitting us in on a busy Saturday night!!

Isaiah, your generosity and hospitality made the night memorable, along with your knowledge and expertise... The "My Chareau-da" (clever) was perfection. And to end the meal with the absolutely perfect sip, Dopo Teatro Vermouth Amaro, made it an extra special ending to our anniversary dinner. Chef and team: How could I forget to mention the food?! The Burrata small plate got us started (so good... we wanted to lick the pesto right off the plate), followed by The Luca Chicken (tasty, though you have to work a bit to get every bit of juicy meat off the bone) and Hanger Steak (medium rare, thank you... perfect), followed by an affogato (so smooth) and the delicious dessert you see in the photo (can't remember what it was called, but they boasted about the Lancaster strawberries). Great from start to finish! Worth noting: We felt GREAT afterward and the next day, a true test of good, real food. No bloating, etc. Last note: It can get loud, but it wasn't over the top. This is the sign of people having a good time!

Total $300 which DIDN'T include the tip or drinks, SO it was actually a $400 evening, I chose the fillet mignon which was wrapped in a dough pastry and I must say that I was pretty disappointed because when you order fillet, who the hell serves it well done??? That's exactly what I got, a well done filet mignon wrapped in dough (Shameful)..... which wasn't all that great. My date got the mushroom ravioli, which was OK at best I guess. What I'm trying to say is it just wasn't worth dropping $400 for 2 people ( waaay overpriced, hence my disappointment and truthful review) because it was Valentine's Day....... the entertainment was crappy too, some guy who played piano and trumpet and I couldn't even hear him in the room I was in so basically ZERO entertainment I definitely won't be going back here based on this experience, sorry to report.

When we finished our meals I knew that the chef had a real talent for understanding food and I mean really understanding the culinary arts. I told him that I would be writing a review and compared him to Daniel Boulud. I still agree with this statement from what I remember about the meal but it's been a long time coming. My mom ordered the mushroom soup and normally I'm not a fan of mushroom soup but this was INCREDIBLE. The flavors were exquisite and the soup was creamy and the ingredients were fresh. I myself ordered the pasta dish at the time and it was creamy and delicious and flavorful. I know that the rest of my party enjoyed their meals and I knew I needed to speak to the chef. I'm glad I did. He was really nice.

Not one, or two but Six came with appetizer, like I said, we were there to eat!! Tempted by the creative menu and the numerous seafood dishes, we opted to keep it old school, chicken cutlet parmigiana!!! A massive cutlet covered with love and a thick layer of oozing hot parmigiana. Fantastic! The cutlets came with a rustic bowl of penne in a tantalizing blush sauce and kissed with some yummy cheese shavings. Completely full, I was unable to explore dessert but I happily managed to cleanse my palette with a complimentary shot of homemade lemoncello which was like a goodbye hug from a staff that was welcoming and attentive throughout our meal. Our waiter was kind and attentive, which was impressive given the obvious crowds during an especially busy day. We ordered some bruschetta to start, which is divine with the a nice bite of cheese and sweet tomatoes. We also ordered some mushroom soup, a staple of Kennett Square, which was SO good. This might've been the highlight for me. It was rich and flavorful without being heavy. For my entree, I ordered the seafood pasta special, which was gorgeous and colorful with shrimp, clams, and mussels in a lobster cream sauce. It was creamy and the fish was very fresh. I didn't pay this time, but it was a bit on the pricier end with entrees ranging from $25-$35. I really loved it here.
