Stromboli
Debra D.

We decided to try a different place (for us) for Italian food take out. The order consisted of a large regular Stromboli with added onions and peppers, two Cheese steaks and one dozen wings - our total bill was just under $67.00. The bread/rolls are touted as home made so we thought the sandwiches would be delicious! The rolls were very pale outside and gummy inside. The inside texture was not from juices from the steak, the rolls were underbaked. The chipped steak itself had no flavor...at all and there wasn't much meat in the roll. The Stromboli was pale and could have been baked a little longer. ( we did not show up early to claim our order, it was wrapped and ready when we arrived) The onions and peppers that we paid extra to add ($3.75 each) in the Stromboli were barely present. The inside was just ham and cheese - not the full assortment that is listed on their menu. The dozen wings were fine, but the celery was dried out and it had dark spots all over - it should have been thrown away not passed off to a customer. I didn't get a photo of the celery before I threw it away ‍. Two Cousins is next door to a huge grocery store so fresh ingredients are easily available. The staff were nice enough, but we will never go back. This was an expensive lesson and an unfortunate meal to share as part of a birthday celebration.

This was such a fantastic meal, with Housemade pasta, sauces, and ingredients. My friend and I were…read morelucky enough to get a seat by the kitchen, so we enjoyed watching the chef's hard at work! One of the chefs even gave each of us a small tasting plate during our meal, which was such a fun and intimate gesture for this space! We absolutely loved both of the pasta dishes we got. Everything tasted amazing, and so incredibly fresh!! We ordered an appetizer of the bread to start with, this was the only disappointing part of the meal to me. The bread was very crusty, which is not my preference, I was expecting soft bread to dip into the sauces. The flavor of the sauces on the side were excellent. I would definitely come back here. If I lived near this location, the ambience is casual, yet it gives fine dining vibes with the quality of food! The service was great as well, and we really appreciated them fitting us in on a busy Saturday night!!

Isaiah, your generosity and hospitality made the night memorable, along with your knowledge and expertise... The "My Chareau-da" (clever) was perfection. And to end the meal with the absolutely perfect sip, Dopo Teatro Vermouth Amaro, made it an extra special ending to our anniversary dinner. Chef and team: How could I forget to mention the food?! The Burrata small plate got us started (so good... we wanted to lick the pesto right off the plate), followed by The Luca Chicken (tasty, though you have to work a bit to get every bit of juicy meat off the bone) and Hanger Steak (medium rare, thank you... perfect), followed by an affogato (so smooth) and the delicious dessert you see in the photo (can't remember what it was called, but they boasted about the Lancaster strawberries). Great from start to finish! Worth noting: We felt GREAT afterward and the next day, a true test of good, real food. No bloating, etc. Last note: It can get loud, but it wasn't over the top. This is the sign of people having a good time!

Total $300 which DIDN'T include the tip or drinks, SO it was actually a $400 evening, I chose the fillet mignon which was wrapped in a dough pastry and I must say that I was pretty disappointed because when you order fillet, who the hell serves it well done??? That's exactly what I got, a well done filet mignon wrapped in dough (Shameful)..... which wasn't all that great. My date got the mushroom ravioli, which was OK at best I guess. What I'm trying to say is it just wasn't worth dropping $400 for 2 people ( waaay overpriced, hence my disappointment and truthful review) because it was Valentine's Day....... the entertainment was crappy too, some guy who played piano and trumpet and I couldn't even hear him in the room I was in so basically ZERO entertainment I definitely won't be going back here based on this experience, sorry to report.

When we finished our meals I knew that the chef had a real talent for understanding food and I mean really understanding the culinary arts. I told him that I would be writing a review and compared him to Daniel Boulud. I still agree with this statement from what I remember about the meal but it's been a long time coming. My mom ordered the mushroom soup and normally I'm not a fan of mushroom soup but this was INCREDIBLE. The flavors were exquisite and the soup was creamy and the ingredients were fresh. I myself ordered the pasta dish at the time and it was creamy and delicious and flavorful. I know that the rest of my party enjoyed their meals and I knew I needed to speak to the chef. I'm glad I did. He was really nice.

I enjoyed a smoky Bourbon Old Fashion with a tastily prepared arancini appetizer. The rice balls were crispy on the outside and deliciously cheesy on the inside!! Not one, or two but Six came with appetizer, like I said, we were there to eat!! Tempted by the creative menu and the numerous seafood dishes, we opted to keep it old school, chicken cutlet parmigiana!!! A massive cutlet covered with love and a thick layer of oozing hot parmigiana. Fantastic! The cutlets came with a rustic bowl of penne in a tantalizing blush sauce and kissed with some yummy cheese shavings. Completely full, I was unable to explore dessert but I happily managed to cleanse my palette with a complimentary shot of homemade lemoncello which was like a goodbye hug from a staff that was welcoming and attentive throughout our meal. I will be back! To enjoy the seafood dishes while wisely leaving room for dessert!!!

Our waiter was kind and attentive, which was impressive given the obvious crowds during an especially busy day. We ordered some bruschetta to start, which is divine with the a nice bite of cheese and sweet tomatoes. We also ordered some mushroom soup, a staple of Kennett Square, which was SO good. This might've been the highlight for me. It was rich and flavorful without being heavy. For my entree, I ordered the seafood pasta special, which was gorgeous and colorful with shrimp, clams, and mussels in a lobster cream sauce. It was creamy and the fish was very fresh. I didn't pay this time, but it was a bit on the pricier end with entrees ranging from $25-$35. I really loved it here.
