We had a few issues with the gutters that were installed when we bought our house. Two of the corners on the house were not draining at all and during storms would dump water in sheets - one just outside our backdoor. In addition, several corner seams were rusted and leaking through. We called to schedule a (free) estimate on a Friday and on Monday morning Austin showed up at 9:00 am. We walked around the house and talked about how to fix various problems - adding a downspout from the second story to the first floor gutter, moving downspouts avoid excess water across shingles, etc.The next day Austin had emailed us a quote with choices: aluminum or steel, square or round corrugated downspouts and color choices. We went with steel, corrugated and black. The very next day two crew members, Reynolds and Nahum, showed up on time with their truck. Both Reynolds and Nahum were professional, courteous and very conscientious. Whenever they had a question they would find my wife or myself and get an answer before proceeding. They took down the old gutters efficiently. Once all of the gutters were down they vacuumed up the resulting mess: mud, leaves and debris.After that was done, they began manufacturing custom lengths on site for the house. Ours is a two story house with 30' plus runs and multiple corner returns. Reynolds and Nahum had no problem with any of it and were able to move from one section to another with no lag time. At the end of the day, we had new, beautiful gutters installed.They cleaned up everything from the project including the screws from the disassembled old parts from the driveway. All the seams were tight, caulked and perfectly fitted, including a bit of custom downspout work feeding directly into our rain barrels. Reynolds and Nahum are truly top notch professionals. Yet every single day, despite how hot it was and how grueling the work was, Josh and Isaac arrived with positive attitudes and unwavering attention to detail. They didn't rush or cut corners. By far the worst contractor experience I've ever had. I hired them in late September of 2022 for…read moresome very basic landscaping. They promised it'd be done in one to two months. (Which at the time should have been a warning, since the work I requested should have taken a week or less.) It is now mid-February of 2023 and the work still isn't done! They've left a wheelbarrow, weed whacker, and a pile of garbage bags full of yard debris sitting in my yard since November. I haven't heard from them since December. Of the incomplete work that they have done: - I had a grass and dirt driveway that I asked to be replace with sod, with mulch on the edges. Pretty standard yard, right? Instead, they put one color of mulch on the edge and filled the rest of the yard/driveway with a different color of mulch! And they did nothing to kill or cover the grass underneath, so now the mulch is full of grass and weeds. - I had two front yard patches with some lovely flowers, where I wanted the weeds pulled and some decorative rocks and plants added. I paid for those rocks in September and despite multiple promises that they were being delivered on a certain day, they have never arrived. Instead of only pulling the weeds, the help that they hired pull most of the nice plants out, including roses, but did nothing to kill the deep-rooted weeds that needed removing. So what had been my flower patches are now mostly bare dirt and weeds. So now I'm out thousands of dollars and my yard looks embarrassingly worse than if I'd never hired them at all. As a first-time homeowner who hadn't yet had a bad contractor experience, I'll chalk this up to an expensive lesson learned. From now on, I'll make sure to get everything in writing and never pay for work until it's actually done.
