No place in the city of Chicago compares to this type of place. It blends in a traditional yet modern Hookah bar with a classy & fun atmosphere. Whether you're looking for a relaxing Monday night or a fun unforgettable Saturday, this place can give you both. This place offers a wide variety of hookah flavors. Before I've even got into smoking hookah. I tried a few other hookah lounges and to be honest it was the same hookah flavors at every location. The same old star buzz.. when I came to this place tho they've had a wide variety of hookah flavors from the traditional middle eastern brands to the more modern european tobacco flavors. Truly enjoy the taste every single time! Along with the fact I'm a loyal customer, and I've yet to see any trace of bad service at this business. HORRIBLE. Coming from someone that's been to hookah bars all around the world this had to be the worse one yet. The place is filthy. One person doing everything. Took 30 mins to be served. The best was that we were 4 ppl and they only allowed us to order 2 hookahs. Isn't the point of having a business to SELL? They sat us in this dark area with this weird red light bulb hanging. I thought I was in some scary movie. Did I say how filthy the place was?? Oh yea, I did. That's how bad it was. The hookahs hit pretty good but they use them all for all flavors that no matter what you order they will never taste like what you order. Plus I never added that the ppl next to us were smoking marijuana. You could smell it from a mile away. This place needs serious help. The only reason in business is because the customers that go there probably haven't actually tried what a good hookah tastes. No offense to anyone. One more thing. Remodel would be nice. A $2 set up doesn't work. Don't be cheap. It takes money to make money. Hope you guys improve. read more

Samah offers a wide range of flavors for your hookah - not only are the flavors impressive, they have some of the most unique hookah displays I've ever seen. Have you ever seen a hookah that changes colors? I have...at Samah! After visiting a few hookah lounges throughout the city I was disappointed with the quality and cleanliness of these lounges but Samah is at another level. They provide high quality hookah at an amazing price, the lounge is spotless, and the seating is crazy comfortable. I had a cappuccino while hanging out one night and it was delicious! Rare that you can find a hookah lounge that also provides coffee shop status coffee. Samah is also BYOB - it doesn't get better than that! I love this place! it's just what this area needed, I go to Loyola and need somewhere to study. although coffee shops are nice, the world needs other places where intellectuals can congregate, and samah north fills that void perfectly. I have been to a few hookah lounges in Chicago and this is by far the best (and cheapest) if you get there before 7:00 a hookah only costs $7.00 and I can hang out there all night, oh yeah and they have free WI-FI!! Its pretty cool they have some private rooms some big leather couches two plasma TVs and get this they have a PlayStation 3 that anybody can play. I once went to do homework and ended up playing gta4 all night. All in all I would highly recommend samah. The staff is very friendly, the lounge is nice, and the music is chill. read more

Im sick of this place and the way the people who come here treat the neighborhood. I live in a building around the corner and the patrons often are extremely loud in the street and in the ally way and keep the neighborhood awake in the late hours. Just the other night an altercation that started inside the place resulted in 3 people getting shot and the local block getting shut down by police. My partner and I fear walking this block at night due to the violence of the patrons and the shooting that occured. Ive passed the place at night and have been harassed and yelled at after walking past the doors. Horrible. I hope this place closes after seeing the "buiness is closed" sign read more

This place is amazing! I highly recommend Samah Hookah Lounge to Anyone in the area! It's a great vibe all the time. On the weekdays students from Loyola come in all the time just to chill and do some homework throughout their free time seeing as though their hookahs are very inexpensive. Besides they offer promotions all the time! But on the weekends the owner hosts FIFA tournaments and plays good music for those who plan on going out after! My hookah is always well tended too as the waiter comes around and checks coals and asks people if they need anything else very consistently. If I could rate this place more it'd be a 10/5!!!! read more

Great service from the staff, and better hookahs. First time here, and will be coming back. Right by Loyola too which is really cool because it's perfect for my friends who go there and don't have means of transportation. They have a wide selection of flavors, great seating, and TVs that are playing sports. If you ever feel bored, theres a PS4, they have FIFA & Fortnite too which is great and I've never seen a hookah lounge do that! Also a great selection of snacks and drinks. Ideal hookah spot! This is by far the best hookah spot in Chicago! Close to Loyola campus. It's a very chill atmosphere and they play great music. There is happy hour 4pm-7pm on weekdays and regular affordable prices on the weekends. Service is amazing and fast. When you go there ask for Guriy, he's the best! Super friendly and he makes sure you feel at home. Very good with names and treats you like family. I haven't gone to any other hookah spot since I found this spot a month ago. Samah is one of the most warm and welcoming places to go relax. The quality of service is wonderful, the place is decorated nicely, and you can always expect to be treated well. The shisha is of wonderful quality as well. Adam is the best, it is obvious he really cares about your experience at the lounge. If you go, I guarantee you will be in good hands. Samah is a great hookah lounge. My friends and I came here on a Friday night and the vibe was great. Very spacious and fun environment. Bathrooms are clean and well maintained. The owners and staff are very friendly and are always at your service. (replacing charcoal/ offering a freshly packed head) I have been to many hookah bars in the Chicago area and nothing compares to my experience at Samah. Really chill place. I come here a lot with my group of friends. Really nice atmosphere to relax and socialize and the flavor choices are really abundant. Cranberry and lemon is where it's at! Come in earlier around 6-7 if you want a room and want to avoid the crowd of college student that usually come in late night. Beautiful establishment, great options, and wonderful service. Went here for the first time with friends from out of town and we had the time of our lives. The owners came by and personally introduced themselves and brought us the first round on the house. I was shocked because I've never seen such service especially later in the evening. They have all the flavors and all different Kinds of charcoal which is awesome because I love switching up my flavors and how I smoke, depending on which flavor I choose.
