To be honest, I was a little nervous about the cleanliness of the room due to some review's. However, we were pleasantly surprised. It was very clean. As a matter of fact it was cleaner than most hotels we have stayed at. We played travel ball, so we have stayed in many hotels in several states. The room was spacious, clean, and offered all the amenities a hotel would offer-coffee maker, hair dryer, mini fridge and a table with two chairs for eating . Just outside the room were two rocking chairs. There was a pool but it was too cold to swim. The front desk clerk was an older lady that greeted us. She was nice and informative. I highly recommend this motel if staying in Murfreesboro. I will post separate reviews for restaurants, but I will say the diner across the street from this motel is very slow. Good but slow-like over an hour for a meal slow.

The peddle cars were either broken or way too hard to maneuver; the basketball was old and wouldn't bounce. There was only one employee in November and that made it difficult to communicate. The fire in the tepee was wonderful but only lasted a little while. The undertaker cabin was large and had two nice queen beds but was limited on decor.

The room smelled nice, the mattress was awesome, water was hot, plenty of clean towels and overall very clean. The rooms have a fridge that gets really cold, a microwave and a coffee machine. The motel ice machine works (which seems to be an issue for some motels recently where we have stayed), the room was quiet and the parking spaces in front of the rooms are oversized to the point where there is no way for a car/truck door to touch the vehicle next to you. The only downside was no pool but we knew that before coming here so there was no disappointment. You can not beat the price for what you get and we would definitely stay here again! If coming to dig for diamonds we highly recommend Southern Dine in Murfreesboro for breakfast! Also recommend a trip up to Mt Ida to the crystal mines. No matter what mine you go to you will bring home something pretty so you are not empty handed when you don't find any diamonds. :). This establishment is not pet-friendly as advertised: (1) was charged twice for the pet (1 small dog) fee (billing has reviewed the receipt and is working on the correction/refund). Got yelled at by restaurant staff (Y****da) in front of other guests for bringing the10-12 pound dog on a leash into the area for breakfast (the previous Hampton stayed at allowed a dog on a leash in he area to get a plate of food) and she loudly and openly accused us of lying while near the food when we replied we never saw the sign prohibiting this action. A lot of things went wrong at this establishment; can't recommend it to others. Y should not have yelled and also her body language (hand on one hip, then arms crossed, then hand on the hip again) screamed out disrespect and anger; instead, she chose to not be polite, explain the situation quietly and respectfully. She was quite awful. Further, because of this incident, we wanted to check out as fast as possible, however, no one was at the front desk (nor available by calling from the room's phone), even though later they claimed they were there the whole time. Had to leave the keys in the room. With all this going on, there is no way anyone would have felt welcome.
