Invited by our future in law family on our kid's engagement! Great night celebrating! Food was good! Appetizers wide variety- tasty! I enjoyed my entree that was a special. My husband's pork chop was a bit too pink. Dessert: the pistachio cake was flavorful and moist, the chocolate cake not so much. BYOB Had to ask for the white wine to be chilled at table. The location in Manasquan is closer for me, but I decided to go to the Brick location because friends have said the food is somewhat better. I have to agree. The clams oreganato were terrific, and so were the rice balls. Both were full of flavor and not full of garlic. Flounder francaise was very good. The flounder was floured just right, cooked perfectly. The only rub was that the sauce did not have enough of a wine and lemon flavor, it was flat. The Shoprite store prepared francaise sauce is much better, believe it or not, but I would say to you believe it. My veal Sorento was delicious. Short ribs over pasta, was a special and it was flawless. Service was friendly and efficient. The dining room is very pleasant , the tables are spaced nicely apart from one another, and set for fine dining. This is a BYOB which is fine with me. I bring my wine of preference and my spirit of choice in a flask. I will be coming back. read more

Another great meal at Via V. We continue to frequent this place as it is probably the best Italian BYOB at the Jersey shore. There are many to choose from these days but you will not find a better value or better cuisine anywhere. The bonus is their service and delivery which is top notch. Back again - have been here on two other occasions and brought some friends last night. The only issue we had is that they did not have my reservation recorded but were able to seat us due to a cancellation. The place was quite busy and it got a little noisy. We started the evening with an order of Zucchini and Calamari - piping hot and excellent! Entrees consisted of the Fettucini Special, Bronzino Filet, Chicken Parmigiano, Veal Rossini and the Chicken Special (spicy as promised). Everyone enjoyed their meals! Dessert, like we really needed it, consisted of Lemoncello Cake and Tartufo -both excellent! Don't forget to bring your wine - Via Veneto is BYOB. read more

On the way walking in through the entrance you can see the tablecloth covered tables. Very welcoming, upscale. The food was delicious. We went there on Saint Joseph Day, they had specials for this special day one of which we ordered the freshly made Saint Joseph day cake, it was wonderful. I was here about a decade ago with five friends and enjoyed a decent meal if memory serves. I don't know if they are the same owners but I do know they have another restaurant in Manasquan. Fast forward to the present......my friend and I wanted a relaxing and festive meal, so I decided here. The place is nicely decorated as per the holiday season. The atmosphere is festive and upbeat. We were greeted by Chris and Tony, both were very cordial and capable. The fare is mostly Italian. So most diners are familiar with the food. It's all in the taste, preparation and presentation. Entrees range from $22-37. The food is excellent minus. If you're a big eater, you will see portions are on the small side. Fill up on bread? Dessert was also excellent minus. The "con" here is the acoustics. Relaxing? NO. The sound levels should be checked by an audio engineer. Too damn noisy. 3.5 stars. read more

We have been to Via Véneto several times. We met friends for dinner this weekend and it continues to be consistent in the quality and value. There are no pictures in this review because I actually put my phone away! The service was paced perfectly and we did not feel rushed even though it was a full house. The ambiance is old world Italian. The walls in one dining room are painted to make it look like beige stucco of a building. The fried calamari was light and tender. The sausage of the sausage and broccolini snapped when bitten into and had nice chucks of garlic. The salad special, arugula, apples and goat cheese left me wanting more. I really enjoyed the dressing. The Veal Rossini had three big pieces of veal and was tender. The veal special was stuffed with eggplant, artichokes and other goodness was equally tasty. Desert included the lemon cake and ricotta cheesecake and was a perfect ending to our meal. read more

It was ok .. wayyyyyyy to overpriced for portion size. This is the only Italian restaurant I've ever been to where a meal doesn't come with a SIDE (you have to pay extra for pasta) or a salad. This is a terrible place and the owner is rude and unprofessional. Our food was burned and the wait was long. Tried to speak to the owner about my disappointment and I was told "we don't need customers like you anyway" when I told her I was never coming back. She took no responsibility and offered no apology or resolution. Do NOT eat here. Terrible food, terrible owners and a terrible chef. I will be disputing this charge on my credit card. First time trying this place and was pleasantly surprised! It's more of a hidden gem in my opinion nestled between the Buffalo Wild Wings and the tire store. The restaurant is larger than I expected considering the location as well. The staff was so friendly and personable and overall very accommodating. We had a reservation and were seated right away. Considering how steady the flow of people coming in was, even well past 8PM, I would recommend making a reservation for a larger group. The food was delicious but took one star down because there were some basics from the online menu that weren't on the main menu when we got there. For example, there was no shrimp scampi on the in person menu but the waiter even joked around with us that he couldn't believe they took it off! He had the kitchen make the dish for us anyway which was greatly appreciated. They do have a lot of delicious specials each night to supplement the smaller menu and they did not disappoint. I had a corn salad from the specials and it was very tasty for summer. Overall the ambiance was solid & there was space between the tables so you didn't feel like you were right on top of each group. Will 100% be coming back here for some of the best Italian food in the area!! read more

Via Veneto is decent but not great. My family and I ate there this afternoon. Everything is a la carte but it is a BYOB. I had stuffed mushrooms which had a sausage filling and were tasty for $12. The table had an order of clams oregano which were also tasty for $12. My main course was Rigatoni Via Veneto which consisted of 2 shrimp, a half of a very small lobster tail, mushrooms, & rigatoni in a pink sauce for $26. The dish was good but the seafood was skimpy. Two shrimp? Honestly, how much do shrimp cost that they cannot include four in the dish? My primary complaint about this restaurant is that they act as if they were located in the middle of Manhattan instead of the strip mall in Brick where they actually reside. What a shame ! This used to be a very good restaurant! Sadly it has changed . First of all, terrible service ! Waiters are very nice but the place does not have enough of them. The Caesar salad was right out of the bag from the supermarket ! After waiting over an hour for our entrees, we decided to leave . The food was delicious! We ordered the pasta special, baked clams, long hots and the rigatoni. I would recommend all of it!!! However, our service was awful. We had Wiesel as our waitress and she did not play any attention to us. We were there for about ten minutes until some "regulars" came in and she ignored us. As soon as they walked in the door she chatted with them the whole time and never once came over to us. Another guy stepped in and started helping us as he noticed too we were ignored. There was a man waiting three other tables and was on top of everything. We waiting 15 minutes for the check as he was able to take a tables desserts order, bring it to them and get their check! How awesome! She needs to go. If I go back I am requesting the guy and if you have Wiesel just know you will be forgotten about and will never leave the restaurant unless someone steps up. read more

Inconspicuous location next to a tire store, I'd never have known of this BYOB gem if I hadn't been brought there by some friends. Since they are "regulars" here, we enjoyed several off-menu dishes including scungilli fra diablo and linguine vongole. Food is as Jersey Italian as it gets and it doesn't get any better. Portions are generous, everything is made fresh. My eggplant Parmesan was outstanding. Escarole with portobellos, sautéed broccolirabe with garlic and sausage all were outstanding. The very best halibut on the planet: simple, flakey but juicy, a touch of lemon and garlic with a golden brown crust. Just perfect. Too full for desserts unfortunately, but they looked amazing. read more

This is one of our favorite Italian restaurants in town. Great service and our favorite is the mozzarella carozza specials they do once in a while. They have amazing dinner specials that delight. Ordered the calamari and caprese to start for our entrees we had veal Rossini, linguine con salsa di vongola, penne vodka, and the capellini veraci which was a special. For dessert we had the ricotta cheese cake, pistachio tartufo, and the tiremesu. Every dish we had was great. Our server Chris was great, very knowledgeable and friendly. All I can say is wow!! The food was incredible and the service was wonderful. My husband got the steak and I got the chicken Parm. Both were absolutely delicious. This place is a BYOB which is awesome. Our waitress was friendly and didn't push us out the door. We ended up staying a little over an hour and a half.
