The bar staff were incredibly friendly and very attentive! The only critiques I have are that there are many many tables for watching and not much room for dancing ( or in my case moshing since I visited to see a metal show) which was a bit sad, they do not serve food here which again was a bit sad ( I should have looked up though) BUT!!!!! They do have a popcorn machine so that was a very happy surprise! This bar has good vibes and character!

It's got all the essentials: cold beer (only slightly overpriced), bartenders who are usually nice enough, and a smell that can only be described as shame with a hint of stale beer. The bathrooms? Perfectly disgusting, just as they should be in a place like this. The walls are covered in layers of graffiti and stickers, some of it actually pretty interesting if you take the time to look. Live bands crank out music that ranges from surprisingly solid to who let them on stage? But that's part of the charm. This is the kind of bar where you go to lose track of time, drink with strangers who might become friends, and soak in the glorious decay of a true dive. It's not for everyone, but if you appreciate a bar with character, history, and just the right amount of grime, Howard's Club H is a must.

Today I found out I must be a college student to get into the place. They justify this by saying it's for the safety of their students, but are the residents of BG who have been going to the bar for a while get denied entry. Rising crime in the city should be reflected through security of the bar; scanners for ID's, personnel search and only 21 above for Uptown. Do not deny entry for actual paying customers who tip and can buy more then just soda and water.

All in all, I tried 6 of their 12 beers and I liked every one. Hop heads may be disappointed as their hoppiest IPA tops out at 76 IBUs (if that). I normally hate wheat beer that's contaminated with fruit flavors, but BGBWs strawberry mango wheat was really good. No food is available, but you can bring food from anywhere, or you can have it delivered. Great place. 5 stars.

This location was full of fun locals! He ordered a flight and I stuck to an Amber. They have food trucks on specific days and times here and the food looks aka smells delicious! The atmosphere was welcoming. The beer was smoothe and cold. My memory starts getting fuzzy around now. But this was a very fun place! Check it out!

This sandwich has no sauce on it otherwise. The fries were pretty bland as well. Would I ever get this again? Certainly not. Their online menu doesn't have descriptions for the food. That's not acceptable in 2026. And the beer menu was out of date. This makes taking a look at the menus before you visit a waste of time. Another place that I guess expects you to put your bag on the floor in the restroom, both at the sink and in the stalls. Yuck. Their saving grace is their beer, but I think I'll stick to drinking it at other places that carry it.
