I went in for an oil change. My service member was engaging and very professional. I was in and put in 30 minute. Once home I checked oil level, checked for leaks and that the oil life had been reset, level full, no leaks and oil life had been reset. Brought in Grand Caravan with a problem where it would not go over 35 mph. Service department told me it may be the transmission and they had to diagnose the problem which could take 2 hours or more to complete. I told them to go ahead with the diagnostic. They contacted me a few days later and told me the transmission needed to be rebuilt for $7800. I asked about the cause of the transmission problem and the service advisior said they didn't know. I asked about why rebuild a transmission if you don't know the original problem, and didn't get a direct answer. I asked if they found the low fluid level and the diagnostic codes in the computer (which I found before taking the van to Sames), and was told the following: 'You have to take the transmission apart to find out what is wrong with it.' Sames Dodge took the transmission out of my van and did not follow any of the Dodge/Stellantis 'service procedures' to troubleshoot the problem. I confirmed the service procedures were not followed after talking to Dodge directly. We got the van back from Sames Dodge with the transmission and a million little parts in a large oily box on the 3rd row seats. read more

I bought a used vehicle from them. The only criteria with the sale is that it was going to be cleaned. Before hand I had went through the vehicle and made multiple mental notes of issues including dried blood on the steering wheel. When I got the vehicle back from being "cleaned", out of the dozen issues I found. Not a single one was addressed. I just brought the vehicle back to get all of these issues corrected. They stated "I should have let them know what things needed fixed if I found them." And now, to get it fixed "might cost me". I am at a loss of words. My biggest mistake was not reading the reviews of this place before hand because I would've avoided it like the plague. If they say they're going to clean it, anything I find I'm keeping it to myself to keep this place honest and see if they'll do their job or if I have to do it for them. called on Wednesday morning to arrange service for my Jeep JKU. Ser vice rep made me an appointment for Thursday morning at 7 am. We dropped off our Jeep at 4:30 pm. Called Sames Service department at 2 pm Thursday and asked when I could pick up my Jeep. Service rep said they hadn't got to it yet and there were still 4 vehicles ahead of me. I asked why they made an appointment but did not intend to work on the Jeep that day. He said I couldn't expect him to put us at the head of the line. I said I wasn't asking for that. I just wanted to bring it in when they could work on it. I didnt want it parked in their unsecured lot in Cedar Creek for days. He said I could come get it and find some other service department and "wait 3 weeks at the Jeep dealer in Austin". At 5pm on Thursday (the same day), we went to Sames and picked it up. No service had been performed! Sames Jeep Chrysler is not the place to get your Jeep serviced. We will never go back. read more

Absolutely the worst customer serviced in the world. They can't schedule an oil change, you have to go and just wait and guess how long it will be. The year 2019 and they can't use scheduling software. How about this: I'll come over and show you how you can schedule mechanics with a simple daily planner? Texas' Oldest dealership? NO. Texas' WORST dealership. I wish I didn't have to deal with you AT ALL. Unfortunately, it's the only one for 20 miles. I will NOT buy a Dodge just to avoid them. After visiting a dealership in Georgetown town, I drove out to Sames Bastrop a few days later. I was greeted by friendly staff to include the GM Craig, who introduced me to a sales rep name John. John was very knowledgeable in the type of Jeep I was looking for and didn't force me into one direction or another. He was up front and honest, which is huge for me when buying a car. It was the main reason I left the dealership in Georgetown. They were pushy to get me into financing without even providing me with a hard number for my purchase. Within an hour I had the vehicle I wanted picked out and I was in financing with Mike. Mike did a great job and didn't push me into feeling uncomfortable with a ton of added extras and added fees. The entire process was less that a few hours and I left happy about my purchase. Although I don't buy cars all that often they have a customer for life. Avoid at all costs If I could give less than one star I would. So first of all I purchased a used car that multiple times I said didn't feel right with the brakes and was assured they had been checked out and all fluids changed. Salesman said I could bring it to him within 3 months if something was urgent. Fast forward 2 months my oil change light goes on before 5,000 miles (that is usually recommended, even though this one is full synthetic and SHOULD go 10,000) so I took it to change the oil and they checked the brakes for me as well upon my request. I was then informed that the rear brakes were completely seized, no oil had been changed and that there was a recall that hadn't been checked or cleared before they sold me this vehicle. After calling in October no body ever called me back or acknowledged anything other than well I drove it for 2 months already like that and it could've been my fault. I also purchased this used car here back in AUGUST of 2020. Today January 27th 2021, five months later I have not received any registration, title, anything about this car in my name. Multiple times I call both my salesman and basically anybody in that hell of a dealership and I continue to get the run around from everyone blaming every other department. Worst of all they tell me to contact another dealership, Sames Ford, as they don't do anything themselves. So I decided to go around them and called the Texas department of motor vehicles only to be told there is no record of this car besides my buyers plate ever being in Texas. No title transfer, no registration application, nothing. I will be making a complaint with the state of Texas vehicle authorization enforcement division and more than likely the BBB to make sure this doesn't happen to anyone else. This is also not including them driving on toll roads to deliver the vehicle under my name and temporary tags and not paying anything for it. If you value your money, or your sanity and mental health do yourself a favor and buy anywhere else than with any Sames dealerships. And I'll post this on any and every place I can. read more

I live in Bastrop and have taken my Ram 3500 truck here several time with the service being just tolerable. This last time I was quoted $468.00 out the door for battery issue and oil change. Walked into the service area, two guys behind the counters with one of them talking to a mechanic and neither one of them seeming to care that I was in the room. When the conversation was over with the mechanic, the service writer put his head down and continued to write, still ignoring me. I said that I was here to PU by Ram truck, still no response, until finally the other service writer asked my name. Went to pay and the total came to $606.00!!! Wow, what happened to the $468.00 "out the door"? Service writer came to the pay window and reviewed the paperwork and said that the difference was the oil change for about $100.00 and tax. OK, so; what happened to the $468.00 "out the door" when you called to tell me how much everything was going to cost? He didn't care to help or provide any kind of customer service at all. Simply amazing what a terribly run service department this is. The service writers are on the front lines, liaison's between shop and customer, these guys don't give a crap about customer service. When the quote $468 and charge $606, there should, at the very least, be an apology. So now they have an extra $130.00 of mine, but have lost all future business with myself, my wife and my son's cars. We will drive to Austin before returning to this dealership. They certainly don't understand the value of good customer service. BTW, took my truck in on Wednesday, did hear from them at all until I called them on Saturday, at that point it was going to be Monday before they could get to it. The battery was draining overnight, so they did a drain test on all my electrical systems only to discover that the problem was a bad battery. Anybody in their right mind would have tested the battery first!!! OMG! So the $606 got me a new battery and oil change. They deserve zero stars. read more

Today I went to Sames Dodge to purchase a truck. Found the make and model I was interested in and spoke with a sales person. The truck I was interested in had some issues so I asked if there was any room for negotiation on getting them resolved. Sales person told me that they had not hit their number the month before and hadn't sold a vehicle this month so there was a good chance at making a deal. He said he would talk to his manager and get back with me. Hours went by with no word so I reached out again. Again, no response. Guess it's easy to see why this dealership cannot hit their quotas. When I went to the service manager named Andrew and the service advisor named Matt., I was completely ignored when my car was left with them for an entire 7 weeks over the issues that needed to take place on repair of the vehicle they even had to repaint my front bumper. I recently had my 2001 Jeep Cherokee break down on my way to Austin. Getting towed to a dealership is not the best way to go about seeking out auto repairs. Edward was terrific. Alternator was replaced at a very reasonable price. It is very comforting to know that they didn't take advantage when they had us over a barrel. Took my 2017 jeep Cherokee in because my drivers side mechanical seat would not work, 3 rd time its been taken in for same issue. Justin calls me back and said there was an umbrella under my seat and that caused the wiring assembly to brake therefore caused the fuse to go out and it will cost $368.00 to fix. I have full warranty he said since we caused the damage warranty denied. I went to pick up my jeep told him not to repair when I got in my car the seat was all the way up and back I asked him to put it back the way I had it and he said I took the fuse out since you didn't want us to repair. He went back to my car put fuse back in fixed my seat and then took the fuse back out. I spoke to manager Andrew and he didnt seem to care or be concerned about the terrible customer service from Justin and how upset I was after he told me yes its the umbrella that caused it and yes I will charge you $368 for a fuse and to rewire it ...Really it needs rewiring I just saw you take the fuse out move my seat. Only nice and decent person I spoke to was Neil and he acknowledged that the customer service I was given was very unprofessional and offered to fix for free. At this point I didn't trust leaving my car. My husband went to Auto Zone purchased a $2 fuse and my seat now works!! Save your time and money they do not care about their customers. Oh and my husband and I were going to purchase 2 cars today there, thank goodness we didn't. read more

The costumer service was terrible. They were very accommodating and made a lot of promises until they had made the sale. They didn't follow through on any of the stuff they promised. They took forever to get the truck ready for pickup and when we finally picked it up nothing was done that they said they would have done. It's been 3 months and we still don't have the plates for the truck and are using expired temp tags. They mailed them to the wrong address after being told numerous times to call before mailing. JR said the air had been fixed but it had not. We ended up having to take the truck to get the windshield fixed ourselves. They do not care. Once they've made the sell and have your money they will not answer or return your phone calls the only way to talk to them is to drive straight there. We live over an hour away so this is quite inconvenient especially since nothing ever gets resolved anyways. Do not buy from them!!!!!!! read more

I purchased a 2018 Jeep Cherokee from this dealership back in October of 2017 and on June 7, 2018 my car would not start. I called and spoke with April from the Service Department and let her know about my situation and she said "well we can't fit you in until June 25th". So what do you want me to do in the mean time, I shouldn't be having these issues this soon on a 2018 vehicle. April asked who my salesperson was and I let her know who and she stated she would let him know and he would get back with me. I called back an hour later and asked for Charles the salesperson and of course I am told that he is out today and not sure when he is returning. So I asked to be transferred back to the Service department. Once again April sounded stressed because she didn't have an answer for me, however she did state that she will let Neil Mitchell from Service know about my situation and since the car is still under warranty possibly he could give me an answer. Mr. Mitchell left a voicemail on my phone stating he needed more information about what the car was doing. I called back got no answer and did leave a detailed message and got no response back. I called back and once again left a message. Still to this date of June 19 I have never gotten a response back from neither the salesperson or service department. I usually don't write reviews; however I believe this dealership has no interest of helping out loyal customers on a simple fix. I will continue to let people know about my bad experience with Sames Dodge Jeep Ram dealership of Cedar Creek, TX. I have since taken my business elsewhere where I was treated with respect and care and most importantly got my car running again the next morning. read more
