Stopped in to B.R. It's only right I grabbed some boiled food!!! I went with the turkey necks, shrimp, corn and potatoes. The boil itself had a pretty good taste, I just could've gotten a LITTLE bit more spice. The butter however wasn't my favorite. Taste like the butter was marinating or blended with some type of seafood stock, gave the butter a bad taste to me. The people behind the glass was nice but I waited an extremely long time to have my order placed, so I'm going the service roughly a 3/5. The ambience Is pretty laid back and chill! Definitely a cool spot to come unwind and mingle with friends and family over some boiled treats. I would give them another round though!! Happy Yelping

I was really excited to try this place and it didn't live up to the hype that I was expecting. The seafood seemed to all be boiled in salt water and left to sit there until someone orders. It's definitely fast, but I wonder how long food will be out until it's swatched out since it's kind of like buffet style. I was disappointed to hear that they use the same tongs for everything so my food sensitivity wasn't accommodated. The sauce is an extra $0.69 and it was definitely spicy. We also ordered fried catfish and that was surprisingly good. If I was ever craving it, I would come back just to order the catfish. Since crawfish is now out of season (August), they were really small with very little meat. That's not really on the business since they can't control that. I can see the crawfish being a good spot once it is in season. The bathrooms are a little rough. One of them doesn't even lock and it's really sticky. There is ample seating that would be good for groups (indoor and outdoor).

Drove in from Texas to Baton Rouge and we were craving Crawfish. This place took the win for the night for me. Arrived here late at night and place was lit up. We walking in and the place is so beautifully decorated with so much greenery, it was a vibe. You walk up to the counter and order. Make sure to look at their specials on the board left of the register. The restrooms were clean and service was fast. We sat outside in the patio. My dish, the Shrimp was so good, I had maybe like 20 shrimps, enough to share with 3 guest. It had a great flavor to it, I enjoyed it. My son had the snow crab and it was easy to crack the shell. My daughters had the 5 lbs of crawfish and they weren't a fan of the sauce. They said it was on the saltier side.

The food was so good!!! 3lbs with 2 corn and potatoes for $21.99. I really enjoyed both the Sammy sauce and their remoulade. I'd definitely recommend here if you want some crawfish! The service was fast and simple, we ate outside so the ambiance was very chill with no bugs bothering you!

I was so excited to be in Louisiana to eat some crawfish, this place was around the corner from my hotel. The place itself is super cute, clean, and played good music. The staff were fairly nice, provided average service. Me and my sister shared 5lbs of crawfish it came with 2 potatoes, 2 corns, and 2 eggs. We ordered 2 sauces of their "Cajun butter" on the side (.89 a piece). It came out on top so we sent it back, but it wasn't very good regardless... we traded it for their "garlic butter" which also wasn't very good. The crawfish was cooked very well, but VERY salty. The eggs were boiled perfect, and the potatoes fine as well. They seemed to be on the pricier side per pound but the deal was 49.99 for what we got. Overall, the taste was just not there for me. I would not recommend this place and will not be back. Sorry to rate so poorly, I just had high hopes due to the previous ratings.

No seasoning. No spice. Just seafood slathered in what tastes like a paprika and chili powder sauce. Everything that looks good ain't good.

Sammy needs to bottle up the Sammy butter or Cajun butter it's that damn good! I'd buy it for sure much love from Austin TX yummy also the staff is super friendly and they have 5 amazing themed restaurants both my kids 8 & 5 years old said this place is the best so yall heard it first it's that damn good

I have tried plenty of crawfish in Baton Rouge and Sammy has always come through. I love spicy food and they deliver. The place is small and quaint and they always have specials that give you more bang for your buck. Everyone is super friendly and they don't skimp out on quantity and quality of their seafood. I do wish that for their specials they include more than one side of corn and potatoes but that's on personal preference and doesn't make a difference in regards to their flavor . Do note, I got their 3lb special that came with one corn and one potato and I personally boiled some more potatoes and eggs on my own accord.

So a friend of mine posted a pic of the pan of seafood he got on IG. I immediately inquired about t his place and I went the very next day. The parking situation is not good so be patient. When you walk in there is space to stand in line to order. You can see the seafood as they are bringing g it out and playing it. They had clams, crawfish, sno/queen crabs, shrimp, sausage, corn, potatoes, eggs. That was all I could see they have Turkey necks as well. I got the small plate which was 1 cluster of crab with shrimp, corn, a potato, sausage link, and egg. It was $19.99 and when I say it was completely worth it; it was worth it. I asked for extra sauce. The sausage was perfect and so was the potato with that sauce. I can't wait to go back

We were in Baton Rouge helping our grandson move into his dorm as an incoming freshman at LSU, and Parrain's kept coming up in our searches and reviews. We decided to give it a try, and I'm SO glad we did! We visited on a Sunday afternoon around 2:30 p.m., and when I tell you EVERYBODY and their family was there... I mean everybody! The parking lot was packed. There is plenty of parking, but there were so many people that we still had to hunt for a spot. Thankfully, we found one under a shade tree because it was HOT! When we walked up, we fully expected a long wait. There is plenty of outdoor seating for people waiting, and I also noticed they have both steps and an accessibility ramp leading to the entrance. My daughter and I sat down while my husband stood in line to put our name on the list. About five minutes later, he was waving for us to come inside! Apparently, many of the people waiting were large groups and families coming from church, but since there were only three of us, they were able to seat us almost immediately. HUGE plus! Once inside, it was BUSY, BUSY, BUSY. It took our server a little while to initially get to us, but considering how packed the restaurant was, it really wasn't bad at all. Our waitress was very nice, and I was actually impressed with how quickly our food came out. Now let's talk about the FOOD!! We first ordered the onion rings for an appetizer... super delicious I ordered the fried shrimp platter, and those shrimp were fried to PERFECTION! Crispy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The meal also came with salad, fries, hush puppies, and a side. The hush puppies were SO GOOD! They are shaped almost like little donut holes... crispy on the outside and soft and savory on the inside. Delicious! For my side, I chose the fresh green beans instead of the dirty rice. Unfortunately, those were the one thing I didn't enjoy. They didn't have much flavor to me and seemed a little undercooked. Next time, I'll definitely choose another side. My husband ordered the fried catfish platter with dirty rice, coleslaw, and fries, and he loved everything. I tasted his coleslaw, and OH MY GOODNESS! Get the coleslaw! It was different from any coleslaw I've had before. It has whole peanuts in it, which sounds unusual, but somehow it WORKS! The peanuts add this wonderful crunch and flavor. It was SO good. And the French fries!! I've never seen fries cut this way before. They're almost shaped like little Scoop Fritos, with a crispy outside and soft potato inside. So unique and really good! My daughter ordered the catfish strips and fries from the kids' menu. These weren't processed little nuggets... they were actual pieces of catfish cut into strips, and she really enjoyed them. She also ordered the crab fingers, and those were another 10/10! They were incredibly well-seasoned with a little spice and tons of flavor. I tasted one and wanted MORE! I'm watching my sodium intake, so I behaved myself, but they were absolutely delicious. Overall, Parrain's was a 10/10 for us. The only thing I wouldn't personally order again would be the green beans. Everything else, from the shrimp and catfish to those amazing hush puppies, unique fries, crab fingers, and especially that coleslaw, was DELICIOUS. Yes, it was crowded and lively, but we still received really good service and didn't have to wait nearly as long as we expected. With our grandson now attending LSU, we'll be making plenty of trips back to Baton Rouge, and Parrain's has officially made our list of places we will be visiting again!

They are WELL known for their chargrilled oysters and have a great happy hour. Their Andouille Crusted Fresh Fish is one of the best bites in Baton Rouge hands down. Their parking lot situation is a mess; WAY too small, and the entrance is close to another business' entrance which can be confusing. Great service, little loud though. It's a small complaint, but restaurants that let used drink glasses pile up on the table is a little annoying.
