Not too thin, not too thick, just right! I'm talking about the thickness of the burger patty- it's not thin like fast food burgers, not thick and too rare, rather...perfect, in my opinion. The flavor is spot on too- charbroiled deliciousness! What else makes a great burger? The bun, of course, and Sam's got that right too. My guy got a Swiss mushroom burger, and I got an old-fashioned. We both loved them. The atmosphere was nice as well- rustic decor that's fun to check out while you wait for your order. The location was perfect as we were attending a Spurs/Bulls game-so if you're attending an event at the ATT Center, you gotta go here. It was clean and the service was friendly. Ok I know it's a low rating. Why,because they fell to tell you. That burgers are basically raw. Maybe seared but that's it. My wife couldn't even eat three bites of it. I don't mind too much but,still ate it. We saw three other people going back up and stating the burgers were raw. Other than that. The fries were great and the onion rings were also really good. I wish some restaurants would go to fried pickle chips instead of pickle slices. We tend not to burn our mouth with chips. The restaurant is cozy. Typical old hole in the the wall. Ordered food and paid for it. 30 mins later .... No food. I asked what was going on. They said the ticket wasn't received in the kitchen. Everyone else in my group was finished eating. They did nothing to try to make it better. Only gave me a refund and not so much as an apology. I'll never go here again and I recommend you don't either. We went today & when entered Sam's Burgers the young kid at the register/ behind the counter did not greet us or say anything. I had to ask him " Sergio", twice if we were suppose to seat ourselves . In a very low soft tone said we had to order there & then we could go sit down . We haven't been here in 15 years so weren't sure what to do . While ordering Sergio seemed bothered with all our questions & he did it not talk to us except to repeat the order back to us . I found him to be very very unfriendly. So we get our sweet teas from the sweet tea vat & we sit down . The tea is unsweetened, no sugar what so ever also the table was filthy with old food all over it. I flagged down the young girl working there ( she had a tattoo going down her leg ). She was so nice & took our teas away & brought us some sweet tea. She talked to us & smiled a lot . So about 15/20 minutes later Sergio brings us our hamburgers , onion rings & fried mushrooms . My husband asked for some ranch dressing . Sergio brought him a container & sat it on the table & walked away . Didn't say a word , didn't ask if we needed anything else . We start to eat & realize that we have no plastic ware for the fried mushrooms so my husband went & got some from the young lady . I had left overs so I had to go to the register & ask Sergio for a togo box ( which I seriously was dreading ). He turned around , picked up a box & sat it on the counter then turned his back on me again . Our hamburgers were extremely dry . Very dry ok . My cheese was over melted to were it was disintegrated. The only thing worth ordering was the fried mushrooms & onion rings but with all the rudeness from the cashier , Sergio it seriously is not worth going back . I know plenty of establishments that value me as a customer & have treated me way better than Sam's employee Sergio . The hamburgers SUB PAR is another deal breaker for me. read more

I have gone to the music venue several times. I love it. This was my first time at the restaurant. I had no idea the bar was separate from the food. I order my food I leave a generous tip for 1 meal. I go to the bar and ordered two drinks for myself so I wouldn't have to stand in the long line again. There was no mixing of drinks no special order. Just two beers. The bartender with short hair decided for me that I needed to leave a tip. She stayed staring at me for a solid 3 to 4 minutes because I put $0 tip. I didn't leave my tab open and she wasn't serving me by any means. Just cracked open two beers. When I called the restaurant I was hung up on several times. Really cool place with killer burgers. Very fresh ingredients, nice toasted bun (with Sam's branded on the top), and the meat was not dry (but not greasy). I read the cocktail menu off the napkin holder on our table, and although they sounded good I just had tea. I forgot to photograph the menu, but I did notice they offer salads and a bean burger, so they do have vegetarian and vegan options. Let me start by saying my food was really good! The reason for my 3 star review is because of their military discount rule. Apparently you have to be in uniform to receive the discount. As a proud military member for the last 17 years, this disappoints me. We get days off and don't always wear our uniform, so this rule is really dumb to me. What a fun place to go dancing ! I went to a lesson to learn the east coast swing - very easy to learn $10 for an hour group lesson . The instructor was amazing- patient, humored the crowd and we got to dance with all kinds of people. When the hour is done a band comes on "two swings and a miss" And you can dance (you can ask anyone to dance!) and you can be asked as well. It made for such a fun night. I suggest getting there a bit before the lesson (as soon as the doors open) so you can get a good table by the dance floor. No minimum - Though during the week $3 beers. The decor outside was gr8 as well. It doesn't matter if it was your first time dancing or your millionth! Every one has fun! Check their calendar to see what night has what kind of dance! read more

It was fun getting to look at all the fun posters and license plates on the walls and ceilings. The burgers were big, juicy, and full of flavor. We also loved the crispy and well-seasoned fries as well. We both got the Guacamole & Jack Burger, an order of large fries to share, and 2 drinks. While the burgers were great and the portions were big, $8.50 for a burger without fries or a drink was a bit high in my opinion. Fries and drinks were extra. I wish they had a combo deal like they do for the weekdays, which is $9.99 for Old Fashion Combo. Overall, the burgers and fries were both good. Prices are higher than most places. I get that kitchens get backed up, but at a place that mostly just makes burgers, it shouldn't be backed up very much! I finally got my food 38 mins later! The ridiculous part was after a moderate size order went out, the next order was just two burgers yet it took 12 minutes after the two burger order for my single hamburger to come out. Are they seriously making one order, completing it and THEN starting on the next order? Someone couldn't read one extra ticket and just throw on 3 instead of 2 burgers‽ I stood maybe 10 feet from the counter the entire time I was waiting and not a single employee asked me if I wanted anything and no one even bothered to apologize for taking over an hour to make one burger or for making me stand there for 38 minutes. Think this is the last time I'll be ordering from them - the food is nowhere near good enough to tolerate such terrible customer service. read more
