Stopped by Smash'd to try their burgers! We ordered the Smash'd Burger Deluxe and were told we can turn any burger into a burrito, so we tried a Smash'd burrito. The burger was delicious on a soft bun served with a side of fries. The burrito was also yummy and the fries were stuffed inside the burrito. We tried their special sauce on the side and loved dipping our fries in it. The service was great, everyone was friendly, and food came out fast. Took one star off since the meal was pricer than most burger spots in the area. Two burgers came out to $33. Ordered the Wake and Bacon burger. I also ordered a Topo Chico, which was also met with a blank "are you from this planet?" stare. How do you not have Topo Chico or something similar !? The burger was just okay. Tiny, but tasty. Fries were so salty and over-seasoned as to be almost inedible. No one checked on me after bringing me my burger. Not one time. Super cool atmosphere w great burgers. Don't get the chicken sandwiches as they aren't what a Texan expects. They taste like a meat alternative and they have coleslaw instead of lettuce. They had a very lime-y taste. I think it was the fries themselves, hubby said it was the avocado. My husband got the plain jane burger... mustard, homemade pickles, cheese and a sauce, also based on the cashier's advice (against the Philly). For me, the burger was too plain. There was one w a hash brown patty and a fried egg and another with grilled pineapple, so many choices, but the hubby isn't very adventurous. The buns were yummy. In town for the weekend. Visiting the are and friends from Oklahoma City... hit this place up after a trip to kids amusement park. We had a short drive here found parking. Really nice burger spot by Broadway East area just north of the Pearl. We tried the fajita burger bc it says that's their award winner and the Hawaiian bc we love grilled pineapple. Both burgers were unique and full of flavor! Nothing bland here. The onion rings were really crispy and the sweet potato fries were delicious. There's only 3 or 4 tables inside it is really small but a huge patio if the weather is good. Counter service for ordering and they do come around to pick up eats and clean up tables. read more
