I absolutely love the Scan-and-Go feature on my Sam's Club App. It allows me to scan as I shop and check out before I even get to the checkout lanes. I can also order and pay for the food from the Sam's Cafe and it'll be ready by the time I'm done shopping. Today they had door buster deals which are usually marked down as low as 60% off the original price. I bought the JBL Bluetooth portable speaker for $69 marked down from $149. Not to mention all the free food samples throughout the store that they usually have have out starting on Fridays and going through the weekends. And if you head over to the bakery, you can also get free Tortilla samples if you ask. The prices are just as good as Costco's, but their app and check-out system is way better than Costco. My only complaint is that the customer service here is hit-or-miss. You can tell that some people are just having a bad day. No worries. Overall this club location gets 5 stars. read more

This review is intended for Sam's Club corporate headquarters in Bentonville AR. I have been a loyal customer of your Concord CA store for several years. It is conveniently located near my job. Your recent update for plus members to continue receiving free shipping mandated a $50 minimum purchase. I was fine with that and understand. I recently went to ship birthday flowers to a friend and saw a shipping fee included when checking out. I ended up starting a chat with customer service (see screen shot for incident number) and the short story is I have mistakenly been labeled as a reseller. I have been trying to get this resolved for three weeks now to no avail. I cannot actually reach someone in the reseller division of corporate. I was unaware I was only allowed ten shipping addresses or suffer this consequence. I don't know when this changed as I have been allowed to delete addresses from my list and add new ones. Perhaps a good safety net would be to not allow customers to do this? Also what happens if someone moves? I am being made to pay more than other people are when I am not a reseller. If I were one, would you not ask for my tax id number to also receive the benefit of no sales tax? See second attached screenshot from your terms and conditions. How is this fair to be the consumer trying to spend money with you vs other retailers and shoppers? I am employed full time with a very full personal life and elder parents children and grandchildren and friends that I like to gift items to. I have no interest nor time or need to resell. I didn't know that was even a thing. The so called investigation against me didn't check into any financial transactions to confirm that I am in fact not a reseller. Please corporate, please, consider an exception to this rule moving forward for me and others as I am sure I am not the only one going through this. Stop trying to making money off of shipping fees for people you have deemed resellers with no proof. You can't have it both ways. This was my first time here and I am only rating on customer service and curb appeal. I stopped by quickly to return an item. They had 3 employees working customer service and although there was a line the wait was short. The male employee who helped me was friendly and helpful. He also told me they do price adjustments if an item goes on sale and gave me a refund for that too. The outside of this Sam's Club was nice, clean, and well kept compared to the 2 I usually shop at. I tried Sam's Club last year while my neighbor shopped it. I've always preferred Costco's selection and prices to Sam's. This year I decided to buy a Groupon for membership to Sam's to check it out for myself. Groupons for memberships can be tricky so I went to the link on the Groupon for Sam's Club chat just now to chat with someone while I set it up. First off, I was number 37 in the queue and a message said I should hold not longer than 5 minutes to chat with someone. I watched the #37 decline all the way to 'it's my turn' over the following 45 minutes. I was then given a message: 'THERE ARE NO CHAT AGENTS AVAILABLE TO HELP YOU' and it asked if I wanted to send an email. I did but it tried to get me to answer my own question with FAQ popups. I barreled through and sent my email. If this is an example of Sam's quality and 'wasting of my 45 minutes' this morning. I'll stick with the higher quality and higher savings of Costco and avoid Sam's frustrations altogether. I will post this review on every site that will take it to make sure others do not waste their own time with Sam's. In the past few years Sam's and a number of other meat retailers have switched to selling imported meat that gets some form of processing here (further processing), this then allows them to call it "A Product of the USA"!!! The meat was born and raised in who knows what country...but they found this loophole to exploit!! This has been exploited to the extent that since it was enacted (Obama administration), the actual US grass fed beef herd has shrunk by over 80%, they cannot compete!! I tried to order something at 10 am and the app said if you order by 3:00 it will allow you to have same day pick up. It would not allow me to choose same day pick up so I called the club and they said all the time slots were full for the day. I feel like this is false advertising. They make their product choices based on quality. They keep their prices low by selling at cost. They have a great selection of many different items. This can be your one stop shop! i am writing to you today to let you know how thoroughly bothered and upset i am at your most disturbing practice of taking my money, not delivering, my full order and not informing me of such! i placed an order on march 3, 2023 for my granddaughter, whose mommy is serving our country in the usa navy. i really wanted her to receive something special for easter. i placed an order on march 3, 2023 to make sure it would not only arrive in time, but to insure the item was in stock. the item model #622467 was never delivered with the second item #990053677. i did not find out until april 6, 2023 that half of the order was not delivered. sams club.com never contacted me to inform me of this. i only found out when i did an online chat with sams club.com on april 6, 2023 - 35 days after i placed the order, that it was damaged and returned!!! sams club.com never notified me of this damaged item not delivered! sams club.com never sent a replacement of the damaged item not delivered! sams club.com never refunded me when they did not deliver the damaged item! sams club.com stole from me -taking my money and did not deliver my item. i am shocked and dismayed. i found out 2 days before easter that my granddaughter's easter item was not delivered on march 7, 2023, but that now sams club.com was out of stock of the item that i odered 35 days prior to easter to ensure it would be in stock. it was now too late . this was very upsetting to me, to say the least. in contacting sams club.com, i was informed on april 6th, 2023 that the item had been damaged and not delivered. sams club.com has since refunded me, however that is not the point!! this is the worse customer service experience from sams club.com. what an immensely disappointing experience - letting me down with not providing the item i had paid for a month earlier for my granddaughter to have a very special easter treat! sams club.com needs to address this lack in customer service asap. long time sams club member read more

I've never been a club shopper until moving here. I really like the quality of the items they have, but have to keep a careful eye on prices. Sometimes buying in bulk is cheaper i.e. for diapers, granola bars, raw almonds...but it's really easy to spend more. I opt to buy my milk, butter, bread and most produce at other grocery stores as its often just more economical. It's rare I'm able to get everything on my list, so often need a small grocery trip anyway. The meats at Sam's are fantastic and the take home pizza is better than homemade. I got the pizza on sale today for less than $6! It's a fun place to browse and find unexpected things i.e. flashcards for the kids or even a nice mattress. But you need to get used to the cycle of crowds. The weekends, especially Saturdays are extremely crowded, but if you have the patience it's worth it since they have tons of people giving out free samples. Today we tried buffalo chicken, burgers, bacon wrapped hot dogs, two kinds of pizza, a new sparkling soda, a new type of sausage, pulled pork on nachos, Tyson chicken tenders, and other things I'm sure I'm forgetting. You could seriously eat lunch on the samples alone! While I love shopping here I need to carefully watch my budget to make sure what we get actually is low priced. It's easy to drop $200-$300 very fast. After shopping today we also picked up a new TV that I ordered on their website yesterday. They were having a great sale on a tv we've been looking at at other stores. The buying process online was easy and I got a nice confirmation email as well as an email when the tv was ready for pickup. Finding the place to pickup the tv in store was not easy. I stood in line at member services for a while before they sent me to a random corner of the store behind the services counter with no employee or sign or anything! Since moving here from Hawaii this was only my second adventure to Sam's club in Rogers off of the 102/8th street heading east from where I live in Centerton. I was totally impressed by the freshness of the sushi, seafood and meats here! There were also some ready made entrees like rotisserie chicken at $4.98 (big ones too! And nice and hot!) There were chicken enchiladas, chicken fettuccine, wraps, twice baked potatoes, meat loaves and mash potatoes, cheeses and so much more! Of course they also had general merchandise, frozen foods, snack foods, pharmacy and well you name it they probably have it, but all in large bulk sizes! I just came on a day my pockets were empty because I was only there to research the Ninja bullet kitchen set. Not a bad looking set at all. Sam's Club gives everything you could want from a big-box retail/wholesale store. They recently remodeled the back/end of the store which has brought a better synergy to the environment. They offer great quality foods (the croissants and cheese are amazing), freshly squeezed orange juice. They offer a decent selection of beer and wines. They also offer great deals on some high quality clothing items, the North Face Denali jackets are always a great gift item. There's also a new app that lets you scan the items and pay for them online, which means no lines (this does not apply to liquor sales). The only downside is that, since liquor sales can't be done through self-pay, you have to stand in line. read more

I first was supposed to get refrigerator from a company called XPO but they were driving a Penske truck rental who apparently delivers for Sams Club. The delivery company came and flung the refrigerator off the truck in an aggressive manner. Then they wouldn't put it together and when I asked them to have a large pallet removed from the bottom of it they stated ok and rocked the refrigerator back and forth while Styrofoam was being thrown all over my garage and at that time they were scratching my garage floor. I live in a brand new house that does not need to be destroyed by a moving company. They then got in their truck and left and could not speak English language so I was unable to speak to them and they left anyways. I then called Sam's Club corporate offices and tried returning the item as it was handled inappropriately. I was told by many people Rose sent me to Samsung and left me on hold 2 hours. I then spoke to many others and conducted in a chat to the corporate office as well and they told me to call the company that delivered the item. I don't know who delivered the item because I asked if they were from XPO and they notified they were not, I don't think they understood my question anyways. Sam's Club policy states that items can be refunded if damaged when delivered and they are refusing to return the item with a full refund in the amount of 1,053.64 with tax 1,116.86. Later that day another company came to deliver my furniture and they refused to put the items together when it clearly stated to do so. The gentlemen stated they will throw the items in my yard as they were told to do. I spoke to a women from a number they gave me 616-325-8825 who set up the delivery. She stated they are to put it together and the delivery driver refused. They tried to leave with the furniture in their truck and I ran outside as I did not have furniture since I moved from Arizona to Michigan. When I ran out there I knocked on their window and told them they need to deliver my furniture. It was a chaos mess and left my daughter at school because if I left they would've taken off with the furniture but were refusing to deliver the items and sat in a rental truck in my driveway. These people work for CRST but they are individual contractors is what I was told. The women I spoke to on the phone said she needs pictures and proof of my dirty carpet when clearly Berber carpet is not going to show dirt but the boxes that they left all over my floor were dirty. I notified her that I wanted to speak to the owner and she refused. She told me she was trying to help me and this should have been taken care of before she sent these drivers to deliver this furniture. My furniture was left all over my brand new carpet and left in pieces. I couldn't have been more stressed out and concerned because no one would tell me who they were. I asked for a refund from Sam's Club and they refused. I asked for my caroets to be cleaned and they refused. The furniture cost was 5,297.88 and the damage to my garage for the refrigerator is 1,800 and the carpet cleaning is 200.00. I asked for them to return the refrigerator as per Sams Club policy they return items that are damaged and they are refusing to return the item or come get it even though they caused damage to my home. I spoke to CRST and they are refusing to take care of my carpets and their drivers left me in a stressful situation for over 3 1/2 hours. Sam's Club responds to me by telling me to call the company, when I called they said they do not deliver the items and they will not refund them even though it is their policy to return damages items. The refrigerator was thrown in a vicious way and I as the customer should not have to call anyone else as I spent 9 plus hours dealing with this and no one will resolve this issue. read more

I signed up for my membership and literally a week later they closed the gas station (planned for 6 weeks) to upgrade the place... *ugh*... At least I got one fill-up with the 5-cent discount. EDIT - Gas station was only closed for like 3 weeks, they must have really put in some extra hours getting the tanks replaced! Sam's Club has basically the same items as walmart, just bulk-sizes and less variety. Some items are a better deal (like milk & eggs), some items the price comes out the same if you figure common units. I really like the butcher & meat section. They have REALLY nice meat, and often a little cheaper than the walmart prices. There is also a seafood section (I don't eat seafood though). They also have lots more gourmet meats & cheeses and such than the regular walmart. They also have quite a selection of home goods, cleaning products, paper products, clothes, books, electronics, mattresses, etc, etc... It's weird some of the items they have in the store but I guess they stock what sells... If you go on the weekends they usually have samples ALL throughout the store. You can practically eat a free meal out of samples, drinks too. If you are over in the bakery area while they are making fresh hot tortillas they will usually give you one fresh off the line... mmmm..... The little cafe is great, they have CHEAP combo's where you can get a slice of pizza, or a hotdog, or a pretzel with a drink for only a couple bucks. They have fresh made sandwiches and other items too. I like to get something then I just walk around the store sipping on my drink as I shop, and I usually will re-fill it before I leave too, lol. There is no doubt Sam's Club is great for large families or small businesses, buying in bulk can save money for some. For others though it takes a little restraint not to buy everything you see even if it's a good deal, at least for perishable items. Finally, worth mentioning is if you can't find something in the store, try checking their website. You would be amazed what you can find there and usually shipping is free! read more

My local club can be OK, but this is about the ONLINE store, Samsclub.com, which is a completely different organization with the same brand name. I have a business account (over $100 per year) and order for my customers and this review is for all the people that order for their customers from online retailers. Samsclub.com can take 4-5 days to just ship an order! As a drop shipping company, they fail my business every week and we have told the support staff at their call center and supervisors at same many times they need to improve and over the last year they have not. Just today I called about an order I placed on June 27th that stills says "processing" in my online orders page and it is now Saturday July 1st. The person at the call center did what they always do and read the "arival time" posted on my online orders page..something I am well aware of and told her I was aware of and not to read it to me and she did anyway. No help at all. Not her fault, but it doesn't help me to get that info. I already read the whole order information online and don't need it read to me by the "support" people. I need the ship date. When is it going to ship so I can let my customer know. I truly feel bad for the call center help as they work for a company that just can't ship an order within 24 to 48 hours which most other online retailers can and do acomplish. The call center people are mostly nice, but I had one supervisor that was not and he should know better than to be rude to anyone. I always explain to the call people I'm not mad at them and I don't yell or do any histerics as I feel everyone should get my respect and courtesy. I drop ship from many retailers and Samsclub.com is the worst of the lot. That may be too generous as Samsclub.com is an operation that consistantly demostrates how Not to do business online. Samsclub.com only ships some items for free and that can change and they have no notification system to let me know they changed the shipping of the product to $5 or so. I find out when I place another order and find my profit is now gone to shipping it. Many other onliners ship free. I do. Samsclub.com doesn't unless they mark it "ships free". They run out online too! The stock goes to zero online and I have to go to my local club and buy it and ship it at a loss. There is no garantee the club has what is or was online either. Walmart.com and other retailers online will notify you when a product will be back in stock and some even post the available stock next to the order box. This is VERY handy for a drop shipping company like mine. I gave Kmart.com a try for one item and it shipped in 12 hours! I was impressed and we are looking at ramping up their products because of this experience. Bottom line is my experiences over a year plus with Samsclub.com has been horrible. Slow to ship, support that cannot support (no fault of the people employed there, for the most part), and no improvement that I can see happening. Avoid them for your business.
