Not only is their staff unengaged but the quality is completely inferior than costco. I purchased a hot dog and they took the bun out of a package, it being cold and hard. then they did not even have mustard or the right condiments. Their staff just does nothing to make the corrections, completely ghetto, the store manager could have went and put out some mustard from the aisle, but they re so disengaged from customer service. read more

I've been going to this Sam's Club for years. I always had a good experience, it's clean, nice staff and I always find what I need. I usually go about 3x per month. Today I asked a question to a worker, she answered me nicely as usual but then some old lady (staff worker) screamed from far answering my question as well so I went back with my children to see what see was trying to say, and yep she kept answering my question but yelling at me, like I didn't understand what she was saying and I did! And then she made a racist comment in front of everyone and no body said anything, and neither do I because I really respect elderly, but she made me feel very uncomfortable, even my kids said why is that old worker yelling at you? All you did was ask a question she should be ashamed of treating people like this. So yeah I never had a bad experience like today so I wanted to share it. read more

I placed a delivery order on April 14, 2026, for the next day to be delivered between 2pm and 4pm. I got a text that the order was on the way, next text 2 items were unavailable but the other items would be delivered. After 4 pm I received my order was delayed starting at a time after 5pm and changing every 40 minutes to a different time with a driver name and tracking app saying my items were on the way. I waisted 4 hours of my time tracking and making 4 calls because I had promise cakes to some seniors. Getting through past the AI assistance was interesting when it states that it makes mistakes sometimes it was the most honest interaction I had. But believe it or not the customer service agents were apologetic but could only see what I saw the my order was still out for delivery they could not get in contact with the driver but were told by the club the order was being delivered. It is now 7:55 pm. I am writing this because I am totally disappointed with the service I got I wished at 4 pm they told me my order was canceled. I could of made other arrangements. Customer service agents use to be able to resolve problems not just give empty apologies. This one is better than Evergreen Park and Tinley Park so we come here instead of those options. Overall most customers there are still rude as hell but the staff is solid. It's always clean and for the most part organized and stocked. This is unlike the other two locations in my experience. Over the last year there have been many occasions where quite a few customers are without masks on or on the chin. Managers need to step up and enforce the rules. Don't send the hourly people to do the dirty work. Although with solid training and a good management team they should be comfortable to make the initial ask. I've never had to wait for a cart so the cart retrievers are on top of their game. Way better than the other locations. You can expect a quality shopping experience but I highly recommend using the app with scan and go. read more

I'm generally a fan of most Sam's clubs however this location has got to be one of the worst parking lots I've dealt with in a long time. The store itself is clean, stocked well, and the service is good. Use the app while you're adding items to the cart to scan as you go it's much quicker. The exit scan is a huge bottleneck, it's much better at Costco, a quick receipt look vs a scan of multiple items and waiting in a slow line. Cafeteria is pretty average, cheap decent food for a quick lunch. read more

I went to this sams club trying to buy an inflatable dinosaur costume for Halloween. I was denied service by stef (who is extremely rude and large) for being underage. I went to get my friend who is 18 and brought him to come buy the costumes. When we came back, we were told that we couldn't use our dad's Sam's card because he was not present. She then continued to threaten to revoke our membership. I was very kind and calm the whole time and she was extremely hostile. We love this location as it is a great place to get many shopping trips into one. We buy the ground beef in the 10 lbs. tube for beef jerky that I make for fishing trips. They have the best prices for this product and it is 90%, they beat all local stores/butchers for pricing and quality. Most of the staff here are very good and helpful too. I always see an employee outside working his tail off. He collects carts, works gas station, even saw him washing windows lol. He helped me unload a bunch of bottled water one day. Guy has a bunch of tattoos, brown hair and goatee, around 35 I would guess I offered him $5 for his help but he refused to take it. After a bad experience at this Sam's Club, I am upgrading my rating from 3 stars to 4. I know that sounds a little odd, but this is all about outstanding customer service making good on a human error. On Saturday, 1/19, my husband stopped into the bakery to pick up a birthday cake that I had personally ordered on Tuesday, 1/15. The cake was nowhere to be found. While staff looked for the cake, my husband called me to make sure he was at the correct SC. Eventually the staff found the paperwork, but it was in the "Sunday" file. No cake! So much for the photo birthday cake that was planned to be the center of the party. Two days later I posted a comment on the SC ad that frequently pops up on FB. A representative from SC corporate IM'd me and we chatted several times, then corporate had the manager of the Hodgkin's SC, Matt, personally call me. I was pleasantly surprised with not only the corporate follow through but also the gracious apology and Matt's, "I want to make this right". I won't go into the details, but I am pleased with the outcome. I understand human errors happen. We are all humans trying to do the best we can. No, this won't bring back the party that went off without the cake I planned for it, but I am truly impressed with SC's corporate follow through and Matt's gracious attitude. I worse customer service anyone can imagine. Victor in Automotive very rude and non caring. Susanna so called manager with no authority. I had a tire sensor put on 2 months ago. It went bad. My car has no spare it gas a fill pump. I explained this. That its unsafe to drive my car with no sensor working that they installed. They give me a date 9days from today to bring it in. A 30 minute fix 9 days. The product they installed went bad. What's wrong with this picture. I called Costco explained my problem. -AVOID- If you have a nail in your tire or a flat do yourself a favor and avoid Sam's club "tire and battery" I came here with an appointment at 10am to have a nail removed from my tire. They told me it would be 30min because they were servicing the car in front of me....that car was done 10min later mind you we were the only cars there. Well they didn't finish my car until 11:35 next time I'll stop at a local tire shop and have it fixed in 10min for $10. read more

This is my preferred Sam's Club. I have a couple others that are slightly closer but the prices here tend to be slightly lower, sales tax is lower, and parking is much better. I've always been impressed with the cart collecting staff here. Always hustling and cleaning out carts. Some other warehouse stores let their cart collectors just leave used sample plates or garbage in the carts. Not here. And the collectors are fast to keep the parking lot clear of carts. One fine job. The inside of this Sam's Club is much like any other. There may be slightly more square footage here but not much. Same products and arranged the same way. Prices may be pennies or dollars cheaper but that often depends on if the item is on an end cap or the middle of the aisle. I've enjoyed the knowledge of the butchers here and they have always given me recommendations that turned out grate. I've gotten one specialty cake here and the cake, fillings, and design were spot on. The one issue I occasionally have is with the employees. On my most recent visit I used the self checkout and when I got to my "pick two loaves of bread for one price" it wouldn't scan either bread barcode. When I asked for assistance the young lady rolled her eyes at me and walked over to the terminal I was using and just pointed to the side of the screen where the bread barcode was. Not a word from her, just a point at a place I'd never have seen. That's just bad customer service. Something like that doesn't happen every time but it still happens too often. read more

I like Sam's club more than I do Costco because their inventory is consistent with that I always need to stock up on. I find that Sam's club butter, heavy cream and eggs to be the best quality. The price to me can be close to Costco if not matching in price. So we don't go there for price but items and products we find to be quality. Not to sat Costco isn't quality it is but with certain products. Both giant whole sale stores have their negatives and positives right? I have to say I also like Sam's club rotisserie chicken, their snack shop with amazing crust on the pizza, their toppings taste better too. I have to highlight a Sam's Club Hodgkins employee. Her name is Alex, at the Member Services desk. For over a year, I could not access and use my Scan-n-Go app (I prefer to pay with the app, than have to wait in line). In all that time, I'd stop for help at the desk. They'd give me the 800 number, telling me they'd have to help me over phone. And over the phone, they couldn't fix it, and they'd send me back to the store telling they'd have to help me in- store. No one in the store, and no one over the 800 number, had been able to resolve what the problem was. I'd get bounced back and forth, back and forth, between them. No one could get my app working, so I'd given up. Every couple of months, I might take another stab at it, which is exactly what I did today. Like everyone before her, Alex firmly assured me that she would do everything she could. The difference this time ... she's the only one who was actually able to get my app working again. I don't know what was different about her from the others, except that she knew what she was doing to get it done, where the others maybe just didn't care enough or have enough experience to see it through to success. Alex may be the type of person who'll succeed at whatever she takes on, so I hope I get to see her again to let her know how much I've been enjoying the use of my app. This one (Alex) is a keeper. read more

Having to wait over 10 minutes for an associate to verify age is UNACCEPTABLE. Meanwhile, store associates are passing you up trying to purposely ignore the fact that you have been standing there! Leaving you to hunt for someone who can press a damn code so that you can finish your purchase. When I asked to talk to a manager, they rapidly gave me the excuse 'he is in a meeting'. Not a huge fan of Sam's Club, but this one seems better than average, or is if you've been to the one on Cicero Ave. I don't believe in heaven or hell, but if I were to the Sam's on Cicero must be hell on earth. Which makes me ask why? Why the difference? For business reasons, I sometimes end up having to go to Sam's as best as I can I plan around it, however I don't always want to be lugging around tons of paper products, after all who needs almost 100 rolls of toilet paper and 10 cans off coffee with them for two weeks straight? Unless you're a candidate for some weird version of hoarders. Anyhow, this location takes me a little out of my way, but it's worth it for my sanity. Things seem well laid out at the location and I can skip having to go through stuff I don't need, which saves me money. I try to limit impulse buys. How often is it that you get back home from shopping and say, WTH I don't need #$!% this? The parking lot seems to be in better shape, people actually take the time to put carts away, and not throw garbage/packaging in the lot. As far as what they carry, it's Sam's so it's all the same. Lisa the manager there looked upset, tired and frustrated, now i know these are troubling times and we all appreciate all the staff that allow all of us to come into the stores to get our essentials. I also understand there limits in certain items and that people remove signs but when no sign is up and we are told there is a limit - we questioned the cashier and Lisa the manager decides to Scream and say people like us remove the signs and how she has to put up with people like us!! I'm writing this review in regards to my most recent visit to Sam's Club Tire Center in Hodgkins, Illinois. Background: I made an appointment to have my tire repaired on 5/13/2018. Upon arrival, I was told that the tire was unfixable and needed to be replaced. They had measured the tire tread and told me it was 7/32 of remaining tread. Unfortunately, they did not have the Pirelli 0 tire that was needed for replacement, but instead, I was told that they would order them and that they would give me a call by Monday or Tuesday. Monday comes and goes as does Tuesday and not a word from Sam's Club. Finally on Thursday, 5/17/2018, I decide to call them to inquire on the whereabouts of said tire. This lack of returning the call as promised is in its own right extremely unprofessional and happens way too frequently to just be an anomaly. Nevertheless, I proceed to make an appointment the following day, Friday, 5/18/2018 and things only get worse from here. Upon arrival, I have the displeasure of having Greg as my tire center customer service personnel. To call Greg unprofessional would be an insult to anyone whomever has acted unprofessionally. This individual went far beyond treating the customer lower than dirt. When I arrived to have my tire serviced, Greg had made me wait over 20 minutes without any information. Finally, after 20 minutes had subsided, Greg had accused me of bringing in a tire that was not from Sam's Club, as he CLAIMED the T number didn't match, even though I had purchased this tire from Sam's Club with full warranty and I ONLY purchase tires from Sam's Club. At this point, after horrendous treatment and accusations of trying to pass an outside tire as a Sam's Club tire, I demanded to speak to the tire center manager. With hesitation, Greg called the manager and when he arrived, he had told me that the remaining tread was 6/32 even though the previous measurement was 7/32. In the end, the manager had told me that this "Was the last time they would exchange this tire." He rudely made it seem as if he was doing me a favor, DESPITE the fact that I had purchased the FULL WARRANTY on this tire. In conclusion, I paid 110 dollars and experienced more headaches and harassment than anyone should ever have to go though. If one can overlook the money that I had to pay, one cannot overlook the awful and unprofessional treatment that I had suffered at the hands of these so called professionals. Furthermore, their lack of care and negligence put me behind the wheel of a vehicle with a damaged tire for more than two weeks. As a result, I can only strongly urge anyone to stay away from Sam's Club tire center. read more

They are run by Walmart so what ever they have in stock is right there on the shelf. Surprisingly the electronics are even cheaper here. OK to make small purchases at Sams Club, but large purchases such as the large screen Vizio TV that I purchased are another issue. The good news is that the quality and performance of the 58" Vizio flat panel television that I purchased are excellent. The bad news is the inconceivably poor sales and delivery of Sams Club and its subcontractor Installs, Inc. This TV was not delivered until the 4th attempt by Installs' Inc. I waited for the first delivery on a Saturday only to have Installs, Inc. cancel the delivery due to a personal issue of the delivery staff. They re-scheduled to deliver the following day and knew that they had to be out of my home by 10:30 AM at the latest on Sunday. Canceled again by Installs Inc. When I chased down Installs Inc. at 10:15 AM they had not picked up the TV and they would not be able to delver by 11:30 AM. Re-scheduled for the following Saturday. Cancelled again be Installs Inc. because Sams Club had misplaced the TV. The manager accused the installers of possible theft and refused to give me another TV. Finally Sams Club delivered the TV the next day on Sunday. No shoe covers on the delivery crew in spite of wet pavement. The final error: I had asked for their no charge deferred payment plan. When my bill arrived there was of course no deferred payment (no surprise), just a bill for the TV and a 29.90% interest rate for any balance above their $38.00 minimum payment. Apparently the service desk a Sams Club is unaware that the deferred payment plan is not available for business card members but only for personal card members. I confirmed that knowledge deficit a few minutes ago. I will be sure to downgrade my membership at the next renewal cycle from a business card to a personal account. Am I having fun yet? No. Just hoping that the set never needs service. Who knows what terrible experience that might bring. A PostScript for you Sam's Business card holders. The final bad surprise came when the deferred billing did not take place. Apparently we get to pay more so that we can get less and be penalized as business card holders. Business Card accounts are not edible for deferred payment plans even though the service desk told me that I had one. I will now downgrade to a regular membership where I can pay less to get less. read more
