Not a good experience. I wouldn't recommend this service to any owner of custom/upgraded rims especially black rims. Problems experienced as the following: 1. All four rims are scratched when the technician use a the metal bar to pry the tires off the black rim. 2. One of the tire was mounted in the wrong direction. 3. One of the tire had 35 psi vs the rest is at 44 psi. Note: 42 psi is recommended not 44 psi Pros - they offer free alignment inspection. read more

I highly recommend Discount Tires in Countryside , my tire pressure light went on Christmas Eve. I went over there before they closed. The guy checked the tires and make sure the proper air was in it usually that would take it off after driving a little bit, but it did not so I came back after Christmas and got another guy at discount tires and then he then recheck the tire pressure then he checked the sensors which were all good and then he got someone to reset the pressure which all tires were fine the service here is incredible all of this at no charge because I bought tires here I would highly recommend discount tires and the service like I said is incredible, it definitely made me feel much safer knowing I could go to discount tires and get the job done correctly Noreen Lally read more

My experience was great! I was greeted inside the store and put my name with scheduler there. I sat down and within minutes I was called on by Emily. We went outside to look at my car. She did her all her business tasks on the car. We went back inside. She took me over this board and showed me all the pictures of cases that go wrong if not taken care of. I got my new tire and windshield wipers replaced. Emily as well took me how long it was going to take to replace my items on the car. It work was completed under the time she told me! If I could give this place a zero, I would. I went here to get all my tires changed, and all my sensors. I get my car back and the spare cover on my rav4 is scratched to hell. My tire pressure light is also still on, so they clearly didn't fix all of those! When I contacted them about this they said their insurance company would get back to us in 2-3 business days. Spoiler alert, it's been a week! What makes this especially bad is I'm driving it 14 hours across the country for college, and I would prefer it to be safe for that journey. read more

Discount tire did a good job and do not see any issues with the wheels installed. Only know is the wait time, was not informed of the wait until after the purchase and since I don't live in the area I had to Uber home and back. I dropped off the car around 12PM and car was not ready until 3-4PM. This was on a Thursday. Overall I'd recommend asking the wait time and you should have no issue coming in and out. read more

I've had nothing but professional and friendly service at any Discount Tire or America's Best Tire (other states but sister company). Every time I go, the service has been top-notch, reliable, and quick. I had a slow leak in my driver's front side tire since going to Toronto a month ago, and since then I've kind of neglected it by just adding air to my tires. I barely drive, and unfortunately this location is the closest to me even though it's over 16 miles away (you guys need a location in the city!). I couldn't make it here after work since their hours are until 6pm during the week, so I finally had a Saturday morning I could make it out to Countryside, IL. Discount tire by the name is exactly what I paid compared to other chain tire stores. I did compare with nearby stores and DT had far more selections. I bought a pair online and made my installation appointment right after the purchase. On the day of the installation, I parked the car and went in for my appointment. There was a line to get checked-in but eventually I made it within 5 minutes of getting in the door. The sales person did try to upsell me on matching tires for 4 wheels but I opted with the two that I wanted. I was able to wait for my new tires as promised with the time of 60 min. What made my time there seem fast was that I was able to watch the entire installation from the waiting room since you are able to view all the bays. I do recommend this place for all tire needs and yes, they do patch up flat tires. read more

Ever have a massive, public menty b in a dark parking lot? I did and it was ugly. I was feeling super overwhelmed earlier this year and I absolutely lost it. I had one of the ugliest, most obscene, most out of control sobfests of my life. There was an absolutely lovely employee at Discount Tire that saw me, really saw me, and was so unbelievably gentle, kind, and understanding. The value for the tires were nicely priced too! I was able to go to the gym while they worked on my car. I received a text with to track the status of my car. Made an appointment to come here at 4pm on a Tuesday. I lost track of time and got here at 425. I was greeted and checked in with no problems. The employees here are nice and patient. The phone rings every 5 minutes and people are coming and going like it's a gas station. They have cold water bottles and coffee to serve while you wait. The waiting area is large and clean with multiple outlets for electronic appliances. My tire rotation was done in under an hour. And since I got my tires from here, no charge. After waiting an extremely long time for service, during a very busy time, Mr Alvarez apologized & explained that there were a couple "unanticipated problem cars" that took more time then expected. When he did get to my car that was waiting in the queue, he explained the time delay, was considerate & respectful, & accepted resposibility for the delay. Holy Guacamole! 5 years ago, someone stole our spare tire by cutting the cable that held it under our Mercury Mountaineer. We had to buy a new rim, a new tire, and a new cable hoist. And for the past 5 years, that new rim and new tire have been hanging out under the car, doing nothing but giving us a bit of peace of mind that if we ever got a flat tire, we had a spare. Welp, it turns out that we've had a false sense of security all these years. When we bought the rim, the Discount Tire computer system specified one that doesn't fit on our car - the hole in the center of the rim is a wee bit too small and you can't get the wheel onto the axle. "Wait a minute," you're saying. "Discount Tire sold you a rim that didn't fit your car, and you're giving them a 5 star review?" The thing is, the folks at the Discount Tire store in Countryside sold us the rim their nationwide computer system specified. Heck, when I was there yesterday, their system still said the rim I bought 5 years ago was the correct rim for our car. So whichever Countryside employee sold me the rim 5 years ago wasn't at fault, the blame rests with whoever listed the rim in their nationwide computer system. I'm giving the Countryside store a 5 star review because I fully expected all kinds of hassle about replacing something I bought five years ago. And instead, everyone I came in contact with (both on the phone and in person) had a super friendly attitude, was extremely helpful, and treated me like I was their favorite uncle. There was absolutely no hassle (and no charge) getting the rim replaced. With this kind of customer service, I guess it isn't surprising that they were extremely busy while I was there. I saw a lot of cars moved in and out of the service bays, saw a few technicians jogging from one place to another, and even saw Dave, the service advisor who entered all my info into the computer, lend a hand changing tires. But even with all that focus on getting tires done as quickly as possible, whenever I spoke with an employee, they gave me their full attention and took their time answering whatever questions I had. Even Anibal, the tech who did the work on our car, made me feel that at the time he was working on my car, it was the most important vehicle he would work on all day. read more

When I finally found this place, I was really impressed by how professional and kind everyone was. I don't get that a lot from auto repair establishments, so it was really nice. They were able to help me find the best tires for my car and install them for me as quick and efficiently as they could. I got a nail in my tire, and have paid for their tire warranty to cover such things. Don't waste money on warranty, it just puts you at the bottom of the list for service. Brought my car in for 1:30 appt 7/26 its first rotation since 2020 purchase of 4 tires. David was my Sales Associate. Note i asked if car needed an alignment when i bought 4 new tires Feb 2020, they said no not at this time. On Sunday 7/24 I discovered a new slow leak in passenger side wheel and asked that they look at it when rotating. Upon inspection of the vehicle they said that the rim was cracked and insinuated that I had knowledge of this problem and knowledge of a need for an alignment. Apparently my alignment was off and it caused the balding of two front tires. With small crack rim on aluminum rim and balding of side nothing could be done and tires were put back on. David did absolutely nothing to support my safety or direct me to a solution for my problems. He basically said that since I was not interested in buying anything that day he had nothing to offer. David insinuated that I didn't maintain my vehicle when I in fact was just was at my mechanic one month ago. What I am most upset about is discount tire didn't even fill air in the tire that was low on air they just gave me my car back as is. I am mediately went to my mechanic on 47th street who saw that there was only 20 pounds in the passenger side tire and gave me references to find a used rim. Very disappointed in my visit today. I have had a slow leak in my driver's side rear tire and brought it in repeatedly for air. On my last air fill, the attendant said I should make an appt. to have the leak fixed, so I did. He also measured the tread on each tire and said the tires were fine, but I should probably replace them in 6-12 months. Today was my appointment. The salesman looked at my tires and pointed to a SEAM and said it was a crack going around the entire tire and that I needed new tires. I explained to him, the tire he was looking at was NOT the tire with the leak. He said "well, both tires have a crack going around the entire tire" and he would not fix the leak because he did not want to be held liable if something happened to the tire since I was unwilling to purchase new tires. I explained that I was not in a position to buy new tires and he tried to offer me a payment plan. I know that he was trying to prey on my naïveté as a female. We have used Discount Tire for ALL our vehicles and have never had an issue. This salesman did not want to waste time fixing a leaky tire, when he could be selling new tires to other customers.
