I must admit, I am rather new to Sam's Club. I've always dismissed it as a bulked up Walmart, but it deserves more credit than that. I just got a membership in January and I have used it every month since then. Today I was able to grab two absolutely beautiful HBCU Dolls for my little nieces Christmas gifts. I fell in love with them and grabbed them along with fruits, fabric softeners and other sundries. There is a sample machine which dispensed a popcorn sample so I could nosh. It's not a complete home run though. Sadly, their baked goods aren't on par with BJ's, but the meat value, product selection and snack bar surpasses BJ's and makes shopping here more fun. Having said that customer service is fairly lacking. Each time I have needed the customer service desk, I have had a lengthy wait time of at least 15 minutes. Today I watched a man drive up and down the aisle in a fork lift for about 10 minutes straight. The place looked a mess! This location has recently reduced the number of cashiers and patrons are now forced to check themselves out. Three and a half stars, because I hope they will do better. read more

It is appalling to hear about an employee withholds product that has been paid for and sold to a customer. Especially when that product is visible and available. It's even worse that this manager made the person go get their U-Haul to load it up because it was clearly available only to remove it and tell the customer they didn't have it... after seeing it and still seeing it in store. It's heartless that this manager made the customer who was doing a selfless good deed for their town go get a refund instead of giving them their purchased product. And in the meantime making snide comments about how their managers aren't there to over see them because there all in Asheville helping "those people". This people being victims of a hurricane who are without necessary supplies. It is down right cruel that this person then laughs as the customer cries because they are being denied access to a necessary resource that they and their town needs and has been legally purchased. That this woman thinks what she did is acceptable behavior... shame on her and shame on anyone that keeps them on staff without any form of correction or training. I hope they see this, that it hits the news and the woman's family has to see exactly who she is. Someone who laughs at another's tragedy and stops what a Good Samaritan set out to do. read more

This is your typical warehouse store with concrete floors. They have a large selection of merchandise in many different categories. I find myself coming here more for food and grocery items than anything else. My favorite thing to buy here is the fresh salmon. The bakery seems to be a strong point of this location. The cakes are really good. I have also ordered cupcakes from here as well. They have an auto service department. They sell tires and batteries and such. It is convenient to do a little shopping while your car is being serviced. They also have a gas station with discount gas using your Sam's card. If the checkout process was better and easier I would come to Sam's more often. I love shopping here but I hate the checkout that awaits at the end. read more

I came in today and was trying to check out around 6 pm. I was informed by a middle-aged, short, chunky black lady that they had closed the checkouts and only had only self-checkout available. I told her I was paying cash. She told me I had to go to the customer service desk to pay. I stood in the service line for 20 minutes just to check out. She told me this is a new process for Sam's Club. If it is. I will no longer shop here. I made a quick trip to Sam's club to pick up a few items and as usual the store was clean, well stocked and there were plenty of sales people around to help! There was only one problem! I took my three year old grandson with me and with his little eagle eyes he spotted a giant bounce house blown up, glistening and suspended from the air! Well my grandson eyes lit up and he started promising me that he would be the best boy in the world if I would buy him the house! I tried to ignore his propositions and entice him with candy, chips spider man toys but nothing worked, so I found myself looking at the bounce house... The closer I got the bigger it was, so I held my breath before looking at the price tag and to my surprise it was on sale from $199 to $119 so guess what I brought today??? You got it! A giant bounce house that's for children 3 to 8years old and can support a combined weight of 250 lbs! If comes with an air pump that blows it up in just 2 minutes! PS Sam's regular gas is $2.02! read more

I have recently became a Sam's club member expecting a good shopping experience since we pay to shop here. Little did I know it is a terrible place to spend your money. The food court was disgusting, garbage everywhere, the soda fountains don't work, they have been flat for months. The checkout line for the cafe will take more than 40 minutes to buy a simple hotdog. Do the managers not care about speedy service? The cafe workers said their dough was frozen and would not have any pizza ready for more than an hour. I had an order for our church that needed to be made that afternoon. I requested the manager Terence and he never came to assist me as a paying customer. Sam's club need to train their employees better as it seems the managers don't even know how to run their own department. read more

Can only speak on the tire and battery services. Its is phenomenal!! Ive had prompt service when arriving for appointments or walk in. This place also answers the phone. Very knowledgeable staff ; they take the time to explain what your paper work means and if needed answer any questions you have. I recommend this place over in sams club in Charlotte area. Never had to wait more than 5 mins to be serviced and they are quick and efficient. I spend more time at discount tire than i do here. Kenneth , Chris , Jeff , and Sam at sams club kannapolis are the best. I'll literally come back here for all tire maintenance. They also take the time to make sure you feel comfortable and never upsell you. They also looked online and found the cheaper price than the sticker price. Like omg they are so great!!! read more

I would leave ZERO STARS if it were possible. Was at this store on Saturday Oct 22; there was ONLY ONE REGISTER OPEN other than self-checkout. Sorry, I don't do self check out ~ I don't work work for Sam's nor any other store that has self-Check out. The line for this one open register was stretched back across the entire store. I called customer service to ask why they only had one open & was greeted with a very smart-ass lady that told me she didn't have anything to do with that. I then asked for a manager: After being on hold for 10 & 1/2 min, someone picked up the phone & hung it up. THIS IS TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. How can you only have ONE REGISTER OPEN ON A SATURDAY?????? How can an employee hang up the phone while I am on hold waiting for a manager?!?! Terrible. This Sam's Club is very well-stocked. The one caveat is I ordered online for a pickup. Arrived a day early so we decided to cancel the pickup order items and just shop in person. All items were available and totaled north of $400. Issue was Corporate maintained the hold for several days. Spent 400 in store and additional 400 was pending for about 7 days. Lesson learned: pay attention to date and not cancel orders. Other than that, typical warehouse store; store is well-stocked; large car park; a host of other stores in surrounding area. read more

If I could give this place 0 starts if I could. The service is terrible here. I waited 3 hours just to return some dates. Also everytime I walk into sams I'm greeted by the phone people that want me to change my phone plan. I wouldn't change my plan let alone at a sams club. I was overcharged $120, spoke to a person on the phone who said another person would get back in touch and still have not been in contact with anyone from Sam's Club in Kannapolis, NC. Today is 6/30/20 and the original transaction was on 5/20/20. Never thought I'd be writing a review about something like THIS! I understand this is a Club and you need a membership to shop as a customer it just to use the bathroom? The lady at the door didn't have a single care in the world about nothing but doing her job. I never had this problem at no other location besides here. They wanted me to get a membership just to use the bathroom for 2mins. The customer service desk lady was no help either. I asked her can't I just use my old membership and she said "not if it's expired" lol this place is a joke to scan me just to USE THE BATHROOM! She told me go across the street where it's free...I almost signed up for the membership because I really had to go bad but I'll never shop another Sams Club again and if I do it DEFINITELY won't be this warehouse of trash workers! Walk in 10 people in line with one person at counter strike 1 then they double charged my credit card strike 2 . Then I asked a simple question . Do you have vacuum cleaner bags?You would think they would ...they sell vacuums. So I was sent to several places in the store "they are on aisle **** " wrong you do not have a fu**** clue. So I stopped at the snack bar on the way out trash all over the floor cans over filled and I saw a person serving people that dropped a plate picked it back up and used it no thank you. This review is for the cafe inside where you can eat. SAMs club advertises soft frozen yogurt parfaits at an affordable price. Within the past three weeks, I have tried to order one and the machine is always broken. Today I got smart. Before driving to the location, I called to see if the yogurt machine was working. Low and behold, as usual, it's broken. Sad that I have to call to make sure it's functioning. When it is operational, the berry sundae with soft vanilla yogurt is delish. Only had it once so far. UPDATE-called again on 11/6/2016 to see if the yogurt machine was working. No surprise it was not. UPDATE-called again on 11/7/2016 to see if the yogurt machine was working. I am a regular at Sam's Club, especially the gasoline filling station. Service in the store is adequate, although the wait times in line tend to be longer on Saturdays. Hint- shop during the week and no one will step on your foot or run you over with a cart. I really lile the cheesecae assortment and the cakes are pretty good as well. I suggest you go in and face the person who is taking your cake order and write down their name. This will greatly improve your chances of getting what you ordered on your cake. During busy times, they tend to write down the wrong things so stay on top of your order. It wouldn't hurt to verify the order a or two day in advance. read more

I like Sam's Club more than Costco, truthbetold (though they are basically the same store with different names and that same warehouse lighting). This Sam's is so clean, and I feel like I'm in a secret club every time I walk in with my mom's card. And it's amazing all the things one could convince oneself one needs when one doesn't actually need more than one of said thing. Like, I almost bought 6 electric toothbrush heads, just 'cause. There's also a little cafe thingy that sells pizza, hotdogs, etc etc, for grotesquely cheap prices. If you can stomach it, get yourself a $1.50 hotdog and an 87 cent GIANORMOUS Coke. In this economy, that's the kind of deals I only wish we had in DC. read more

I normally don't do retail usually focus on restaurants. This place reminds me of why I shop at other warehouse membership stores. This place has the absolute worst customer service. It's almost like the people who apply at walmart that can actually put together a coherent sentence they immediately put at Sam's. I walked to the front and wasn't acknowledged although I was looked at. Then when they finally spoke to me I was told they didn't do what I asked. The prices are usually great, just run a quick search on Amazon before being electronics and similar items---sometimes it's cheaper to order online with free shipping. The bakery department is a mess, I've had multiple issues. I'm a baker but sometimes I just don't want to bake my own cake for instance...well you get what you pay for, go to an actual bakery and spend the money it will be worth it. The store manager (or at least one of them) is super---Daniels is the last name I believe. Most of the staff is friendly. read more

Sams Club Customer service is the worst I have ever i have ever dealt with. I ordered a Thomas freezer from them in late July, it arrived beat up and the door hit my husband in the face when he opened the box. I returned that one and received a replacement, that arrived still banged up, but the door was in place, we plugged it up for two days and nothing, no cooling. We sent that one back and asked for a refund that was 3 weeks ago, and all they can say is it's been approved. They have something that they call the back office, you can't talk to these people, but supposedly they control everything, especially if you get your money back or not in a timely manner. I have been a member for thirty years, and I am canceling my membership and going to Costco exclusively. This was done on line, but I've had similar experiences in various stores. read more

The service at Sam's Club was nice. It was a little crowded and their were free samples. The cashier was nice and had a smile on there face. There was some difficulty getting in the store because of the member card but, after we renewed the fee it was fine. Recently we went to this Sams Club because it was the closest to our home . In the past we've never had a problem but last time we went it was to get my fiancé's finger sized for his wedding band & I wanted to see there options on women's wedding bands. First off I had to hunt someone down to find the lady in charge of the jewelry section. Secondly she was a complete smart ass to put it nicely . I asked her if they ran any Black Friday or cyber Monday deals on their jewelry & when I say she laughed in my face - she literally did exactly that with a response of "are you serious" . She was also talking down about every jewelry store out there . I work with the public every day . Despite the day I am having I would never talk to a customer or a client in the way she talked to us. I get that Sam's has some awesome deals and that's why I love them but to have staff member to talk to us like we are stupid and we have no idea what we are talking about is a little uncalled for . We honestly just had to tell her thanks for the help and walk off . She was so rude ! It took the excitement of wedding band shopping and she threw it right out the window . My fiancé and I just hope she will take a step back and realize that her behavior was uncalled for. read more

Never buy hearing aids at any Sam's Club Center. I bought top of the line aids from the Kannapolis location. Had problems from the beginning. When I complained about the volume level and feedback was told to turn them down and the feedback was caused by my weight gain. Cannot get any supervisor to call me back from this location. They got my money and now they do not want to try and solve the problems. I have been a hearing aid user for over 10 years and these have been the worst I have ever owned. read more

Sam's Club Pharmacy...the best! It is somewhat inconvenient to have to walk to the back to get to the pharmacy, but the exercise is good for you!. I believe the reason Sam's Club Pharmacy in KP is the best is because of their pharmacists Bill and Julie and the rest of the staff. You wouldn't think it in such a huge place, but Bill and Julie have the "small town pharmacist" service. They take their time with each customer to make sure they understand their meds and how to take them, etc. When I call in for refills, they know me and most of the time I don't have to give info other than what meds I need. This impresses me. I am not just another face or number! And the girls that support the pharmacist and check out clients are the best! I have NEVER seen them with a bad attitude or without a smile. read more
