Ever time I visit This Sam's Club Shopping and have to use the bathroom it's always out of order, I have enough Business in my profile to know ever business has to have a working bathroom for everyone that enters that store, the next time I shop there and can't use the bathroom. Poor customer service! I had to call the cafe and customer service extensions a few times, each time, holding on as the line rang, rang, and rang before someone finally answered. It was too bad that this person could not provide the answers I needed. Who works customer service and doesn't even know the prices of the cafe's pizza or the usually available pizza choices? I was further disappointed when they did not offer to get the answer from someone, but instead tried to guess when I pushed on for answers. Thanks at least for telling me the cafe' phone hasn't worked in a while and that they don't take orders over the phone. DUH! Furthermore, if there is no working phone in that area, please delete it from the recorded phone extension choices. The local Costco store was the exact opposite of this Sam's Club relative to customer service etiquette. That is why I will spend my money there. read more

i've been a member for many years, I'm a prime member for which I pay a premium annually. This past sunday I went to the myrtle beach store, did some shopping, paid my bill and walked to the next check out, was stopped and the door lady said something was wrong, a pack of whipped cream had not been checked by the cashier, said you'll need to go back and I said i prefer not to go back through that line, NOT MY ERROR, YOUR ERROR. i said you can go back, she said it wasn't her job, grabbed the whipped cream and held it tight to her chest as if I was gonna steal the whipped cream and I told her they need to do their job . I was humiliated at the sight of her clutching the product as if I was stealing it. angered beyond belief, I left the store, NEVER TO RETURN. i pay the higher member rate and being treated this way is unacceptable. this entirely was the fault of your employees, NOT MINE and made to feel this way is unforgivable. Probably the worst Sams club in the state. No One answers their line , they never restock their products. Their curbside is extremely slow and will wait at least 20 -30 minutes . Also never have rotisserie chicken . And if they do you have to fight for it read more

If you're interested in purchasing items in bulk, Sam's is your spot. The store is huge. There's a large variety of goods. The aisles are wide and it's easy to navigate between departments. Like grocery stores, they set up sample stations for time to time for customers to try different items. The bakery department is my favorite. You can get personalized cakes and cupcakes at a great deal. And they are delicious! The floral section is also great. They have a great selection. The flowers are always fresh, vibrant, and last a long time. At times, it can be difficult to find associates for assistance. read more

We're sitting at this sams club to get gas. We are 6 cars deep with 3 pumps open and 8 are closed... WHY????!!!! We pay club dues. It's not like one tank can be empty because they have two closed in the midst of the o es that are open! read more

Rather than bring food from home to Myrtle Beach, we knew that there was a Sam's Club close to our friend's home. My husband stopped by to pick up a carton of Premier Protein Shakes. I went with my mom shopping. I hadn't been to this place in years. Organization is impeccable. Lots of space to walk down aisles. There were two incidences that annoyed me. The first was when we walked up, we could see two ladies, one was sweeping and the other was laying down mats and they saw us walk up to the door and they continued working. My mom tapped on the glass to ask one of them to come over because certain tiers of people are allowed to shop a little bit earlier than the rest and my mom was part of that tier. They ignored the knocking for several minutes before the cleaning lady came over and advised us of what time the store would open. I'm assuming since Covid the times changed to an hour later and my mom had forgotten that. We were walking down one of the aisles and were approached by I assume the store manager because of his dress. I was pleasantly surprised that he greeted us. For me that was a positive because there are plenty of times you can go into a store and not feel like your patronage is worth it. The only other thing that annoyed me about my visit there was when I was in the frozen food section, and a woman that was on a mechanical mopping machine almost ran into me. Being 8 months pregnant and waddling, I'm sure she saw me struggling to get out of her way. I don't know if I would want a membership at Sam's or when I would be back again. read more

Went to Sam's today. Stopped by counter to get pizza and drink on the way out like we usually do. Got a slice half the size it used to be and not near as good a it used to be. I believe they are cutting into 8 slices instead of 6. Sam's seems to be turning out just like the Luther companies, charge more and provide less. read more

We had memberships at both and found them mostly comparable. Depending on what you are looking for, you may find it at either one or both. Usually the prices are close unless it is a special. Best plan is to have a friend join one and you the other, then cross shop with each other to find the best deal. On Tuesday May 17th, 2022 I was invited to an interview at a Sam's Club in Myrtle Beach for a full-time member team lead position. I attended the interview only to find out the full-time member team lead position had been given away that morning. The two individuals named Ashton and Brandi who interviewed me that day let me know there was a full-time member specialist position I could apply for instead that paid $16 per hour. I applied for the member specialist position and it took 2 weeks before Brandi finally sent me a job offer. I performed a background check and on Sunday May 29th, 2022 I attended an orientation at Sam's Club only to discover that the full-time member specialist position that paid $16 per hour was no longer available. They also told me that I would now have to accept a part-time cashier position that only paid $15 per hour if I wished to work for Sam's Club. Based on this experience I don't believe Sam's Club truly appreciates individuals who apply to work for their company. They played an unfair game with me and I just wanted to share my experience with others to encourage them to work elsewhere. read more

For nearly 40 years I've been a member of one warehouse or another. I heard of Sams Club, and never explored it. Recently my curiosity got the best of me and my husband and I explored our local Sams. For $45/annual membership I felt it was worth it to try shopping here for a year. First off, this warehouse is nearly double the size of other warehouse clubs. It is always fun to find different items and different brands to choose from and to taste samples as in similar stores. Customer service was friendly and efficient. This warehouse has a tremendous stock including meats, frozen foods, dry goods, books, seasonal, gourmet, they are a bit light on the pharmacy and definitely light on baked goods. Electric cart/wheelchairs are provided at the entry door. Sometimes there can be a wait for those. A concession provides some foods. However my husband bought a hotdog for me. When I opened it the hotdog the meat was this odd gray color, nothing I've ever seen before and I hope I never see again. I will not return to the concession. I have gone here about 8 times in the past 2-3 months (holiday season). No one asked for money, no men skulking in the bushes and no mysterious premixed drinks in a pouch. I have read others reviews and as a senior citizen, I found no reason to be wary of shopping here day or night. I think that everyone should be wary of dark places, or approaching strangers, but I see no reason to single out shopping here. read more

Very convenient place for small businesses to shop. There scan and go app is the best, you don't need to wait in the line just scan and pay on your phone and go. Really good meat department, they got all the steak cuts. Only bad thinks every time they change there general manager they move all the fresh fruits , veggies and wine and other groceries around store. read more

NEGATIVE 5 STARS. Went here to get gas and it was lined up to the road because they only let you enter the pump one way. 90% of vehicles tanks are on the driver side of the car so half the pumps were empty or little cars were stretching the hose over the car to pump gas. How a company can be so incompetent is beyond me. This level of ignorance is enough for me to boycott all Sam's club locations. It took 3 times as long as it should have for me to get gas. I have a burning hatred for this Sam's club and the workers enforcing this stupid traffic rule. read more

This is my hometown Sams which we shop at frequently. Today I stopped at the door to purposely let two separate ladies go in before me just to observe eve their experience versus my own. Of course nothing was said to either woman then of course as soon as I stepped in several feet behind them suddenly the greeter now need to see club card. I complained to management about rules applying to everyone the same l. He said he would check the cameras and switch ppl around if needed. Pretty standard Sams Club but the staff could be better. Maybe they are tired of dealing with tourists and that affects their attitudes. I always feel slightly harassed by the groups asking for $$ at the entrance, the satellite dish guy, and the lady selling pre mixed drinks in a pouch. My review is a comparison of SAMs to Costco. Because I have been to Costco many many times, and SAMs is a cheaper version of Costco. So I am going to weigh the good and the bad. The membership is cheaper at SAMs, and the food is a bit cheaper. Which makes sense, since Walmart owns SAMs. We were able to pay for a membership which is $45 for the year, and add on a second person who does not have the same address at the membership card holder, with no additional cost. Compared to Costco, a membership is $55 for the year, and to add someone on, you have to pay an additional $55... So you're basically just paying for 2 whole memberships.. I was disappointed to find that SAMs only has farm raised fresh slabs of salmon. I prefer the wild caught, so I was not able to get my fish at SAMs. SAMs also has less of a variety of organic foods/snacks than Costco. But it's worth the $45 for the year to just accept the fact. read more

As far as Sam's stores go its fine...doesn't compare to the Edison NJ or Linden locations service though. Has an incredibly bad discount section. Having moved to MB this club encouraged me to get a Costco membership also. read more

I was in Sam's club recently and noticed that the staff and some customers wore masks some did not! You would think with tourists in town they would post a sign on their entrances "Mask must be worn to enter" to protect all customers. Lazy people won't protect each other like the tourists from Illinois that I saw get out of a car in front and walk right in Without a mask. Isn't that area a hot spot for Covid-19? NOT SAFE FOR SHOPPERS!!!!! I was shopping today and I noticed a gentleman hiding in the pine trees by the service department and when he saw I saw him he hide in the trees. I believe he was waiting for me to walk by him but I didn't walk close enough for him to grab my purse. I got out of there as fast as I could. Best place to go to get more bang for your buck! I love it when we accumulate enough rewards points to use against food purchases. Their pharmacy departments is the best. They are very helpful and saved us a ton of money, but suggesting alternative ways to get discounted prescriptions. I wish they had a larger fish & crustacean selection like Costco, but they look like they are trying to improve by adding Catfish, for example. I wouldn't recommend using their eye doctor, because after one year my eyes never got adjusted to using my glasses while driving. I was told to wear these glasses all the time even when I never had a problem while driving. Only reading. These glasses made my eyesight worse. I love the fact that they are always on top of taking care the shopping carts in the parking area. In my experience, there's never an overflow of carts or abandoned carts. I wish their sister company Walmart on Seaboard Street would take notes to avoid damage to your car. I highly recommend investing in a membership here. read more

I have been a member of this Sam's Club since it opened it's doors here in Myrtle Beach. It has always been clean and well organized. I have NEVER had a problem with the staff. Being a member here has saved us lots of money. I also have a membership at Costco, because my daughter added me onto her membership there. Both stores are nice. However, I prefer Sam's Club because they have quality products and have everything I need. I don't have to walk so far, and it's cheaper. I have also saved as much as $10 an item at Sam's, that both Sam's and Costco carry. It's true that Costco has much more merchandise, more choices, and that is why they are BIGGER. That doesn't make them better. The pizza at Sam's is much better at Sam's Club than at Costco. It's so tasty that we have gone once a week for years ~ for a $5 pizza date. You will find the prices at Walmart less on a lot of items. They have had to stop calling thereselves a wholesale club since it's not at wholesale prices. Within the last year we added our total purchases not counting to go pizza, hotdogs and the $14.16 we saved on gas. Membership fee actually cost us $19.00 more than we saved. We have not and will not renew when membership expires this month. The $65. Fee will be spent better on other items. Especially with the amount of recalls on items exclusive to Costco & Sam's up north haven't heard ice cream licking or pets being poisoned at BJ's. Priced my printer ink at Walmart & Sam's today it was actually $13.20 higher to purchase the cartridges at Sams instead of Walmart or Office Depot. The store in Myrtle Beach is great and no problems with it; however, online ordering is awful. Two orders have been cancelled and the Order History states "Fraud." I haven't reported an issue of fraud. Moreover, when I try to call the 1-800 Customer Service line, I was placed on Hold for more than 15 minutes. Online Chat can't help either so I emailed the Company and after 4 days, still no response, although the website states a response will be provided within 24 hours. Awful online service! read more

They have the worst service desk anywhere. It's not just today, it's any day. Never enough staff. 2:40PM today, 2 clerks, and 10 people in line. Do you think someone would call for more clerks. OK my turn, I want to renew my membership which expired 11/10/18. Today is 12/2/18 and was told my renewal would expire on 11/10/19. All I wanted was the expiration date to be changed to be current. "The computer says.....". I said no thanks and went to get a manager. They are MIA. Had someone page a manager. No show. I left to never return. Wal mart by any other name is still wal mart. I got a deal on living social for here and i had always been with costco but decided to try it. Now I have buyers remorse and wish I never would have switched. Both times I went here had awful customer service same ole 15 lines and 6 checkers. My issues with Sam's Club just started recently. Prior to these issues, my experiences have all been pleasant. We even purchased a beautiful patio set from them this year that we are enjoying. But it seems that recently, Sam's Customer Services has declined. I purchased their Member Mark bath tissue. Several rolls were of poor (and I mean poor) quality for something that was labeled Ultra Premium. I contacted Sam's customer service on 7/1/19 and was told I would be contacted within 3-5 business days. I have not heard back. At this point, I am fine with it. I know I can return it to the store for a refund, but the store is not exactly around the corner, so I figured I would just live with it. Unfortunately I had another issue yesterday. I placed an order online for pickup. I have done this in the past. Well, it seems they are changing how they are handling their pickups. There use to be a kiosk that you logged into and then you went to the pickup location. When I could not find the kiosk, I asked Member Service what to do and she told me to just go to the pick up area. I thought they may have finally set themselves up like the Wilmington, NC location, which was always a breeze with their pickups. Instead, I get a very rude person. She asked me if I checked in before getting to her. I told her I did not know what she was talking about because the kiosk was gone and Member Services sent me. She then berated me saying that I needed to check in before getting to her either on the email or the app. I don't have the app and the email had no option to check in. She basically stated that she would help me this time, but I had to do it correctly in the future. I do have some sympathy for her because each time she checked out a customer, she had to run to the other side of the store to get their receipt. A day of that would make anyone frustrated, but I am not the person to take it out on. When I got home, I called customer service again. Needless to say, I spoke to five different people and even did a chat. I left a message for the manager of the store. I have yet to hear back on any of this. I just removed the auto renew off my membership because if you go to Sam's Facebook account, you will see even more messages regarding the lack of service. One comment stated that if you cancel your membership, they give you a gift card instead of a refund. I will just use my membership until it expires. If I hear from anyone, I will update this review. read more

Ordered a gazebo from Sam's club.com on 7/5/18. Received a confirmation and a delivery date of 7/23/18. Was never able to track delivery due to carrier's, Pilot delivery, site being down. Today is 7/31/18 and I have still not received the gazebo. It seems Pilot delivery has lost it. I spoke to Sam's club customer service several times. They in turn spoke to Pilot who cannot locate the gazebo. I asked Sam's customer service to speak with a manager. The first time I was hung up on. The second request I had to insist on speaking to a manager. The customer service rep wouldn't transfer me until I asked her what she could do at her level to keep me as a customer and to resolve this issue. The managers answer was to just wait another 2-3 days until Pilot located the gazebo. At this point I would like another gazebo shipped to me and expedited. I am a very unhappy customer. Customer service was terrible. I had 2 packages of soda in my cart along with other items. I place the items on the belt and left the soda in the cart to be scanned with the gun as I always do. The cashier very curtly stated that the soft drinks must be removed from that cart and placed in another after scanning. I said ok I'm so sorry I didn't realize that. She said well it's company policy and I can't speak for others but I know what I have to do. I said I'm sorry I just didn't realize that. Then after scanning and placing in another cart she says it is in case you have something under them. I understand and said that's fine. After I exited she did not realize the lady 2 behind me in line was my daughter. She told the other customer she could not believe that I would think I could keep that in the cart that's how people steal. The lady said back to her well I have never taken mine out either she said well it's company policy and I can't believe that lady did that. Ha even said I must be a tourist. Well I'm not and even if I were tourist keep us employed and should be treat courteously. read more

I've been shopping at the Myrtle Beach Sam's club since they opened the doors. I've only had one bad experience in all those years and that was maybe 10 or more years ago. It anger's me to see people complain about this location especially when it was their fault not the stores. One review complained about a hot dog purchased in the concession. They only sell Nathan Hotdogs, a sign is posted to that effect. Nathan hot dogs are grey in color. Obviously she had never had one before, To publically suggest Sam's club was selling old or unsafe products is slander. I personally LOVE their hotdogs. another review complained about being told not to back into the gas pump. Again....there are signs posted stating it is one way in and one way OUT. It is NOT SAM'S CLUB FAULT that SOME people CANT READ !!! I also tried Costco only because its closer to where I live. I wasn't impressed enough to maintain 2 memberships. read more
