Club review 3/31/18 Today I visited Sam's with my family to get dog food. Upon entering store there were NO shopping carts; the "greeter" who is verifying membership says there's no carts and we need to find one in parking lot. This is NO JOKE the 4th time this has happened to me recently at this location. First, I'm going to a store that sells items IN BULK, I cannot carry these things around- let alone I'm buying a 40# bag of dog food. I'm also an ADA customer so depending on pain, I have difficulty getting around. My membership will be expiring soon and I don't know that it's worth renewing with these type of headaches. Sam's has some good qualities- like smart phone check out- but again they're removing staff members which means customer service will be effected. Annoyed by Sam's today! Bakery review only! We ordered a half sheet cake for our daughter's birthday party. The theme is flamingos and it is a bit hard to find a flamingo cake unless homemade. Well, sams had the option of the picture cake; the photo is an edible piece of sweetened rice paper. The cake was beautiful and tasted so good. We chose whip creme topping and a marble cake. We ordered the cake 4 days prior to her big day and it was ready when I arrived to retrieve it. Only reason they lack a star is the amount of bakery workers in the back that refuse to come up front and help the MEMBERS. We pay to be shopping in the store. Personally, they should have a bakery person dedicated to assisting MEMBERS get their cakes in a timely manner. I love the early shopping and we come here three times a month. There are a lot of things I really like and the two stars reflect the things I do not at all. We won't touch a rotisserie chicken here. Go Costco all day. Seasoning is bad and red inside after four tries! Always red or pink. How can Costco always be good and perfect and Sam's can't roast a chicken properly. I would post a pic but we trashed our last and final one. Employees are different than Costco. We were two carts behind and an open cashier sat laughing and talking to another unopened. My wife said, "She's been open with us standing here? She saw us." And she did. Never said she was open just avoiding helping us while we stood there. Our cashier was stressing out on a no tag item. We stood ten minutes with our cashier stressing out and this lazy person with no one in the line chatting away five feet away. Another day: they had a birthday party in the unopened food court during early shopping. Four male workers were creep staring at my wife so hard that she had to step behind me. Not acceptable. We go early for things we like and get out. Lots of unfriendly workers here. Some amazing and some complete trash. read more

Worst customer service ever. Bad experience with in club pick up. I arrived at 1pm (my pick up time) was told it's not ready and have 2 orders ahead of me. So I waited at the food court with my 2 months old CRYING. I waited ~30 minutes and returned to pick up area and my PARTIAL order was there. I stood there and no one assist me until I asked about my order. Than to find out, the 2 missing items are out of stock. I DROVE 30 miles to that club BECAUSE WHEN I ORDER, it was STILL AVAILABLE. they should pull the item as the customer order it and not WAIT until everyone else buys it and now unavailable. Oh and guess what, I picked up whatever I had and went home (30 miles away) and to find out they charged me WRONG for an item. I like that Sam's club is never as busy as Costco. They have a large selection of items, and a gas station. The hot food is just ok, and Sam's doesn't have free samples during the lunch hour (maybe that's why they're not as busy as Costco). Either way, you can buy your goods in bulk and for a discount. read more

I am in California and I have a car in Georgia that needs tires. I'm using my Sam's Club card. I ordered the tires while here in California to be put on the car in Georgia. The tires came in they put the order on my credit card but because I'm not there they won't put the tires on the car I think that's ridiculous. I am not there yet but the car needs tires. They have my credit card. What's the problem. when trying to call to resolve the issue the main office could not get anyone to answer the phone at the McDonough Sam's club ! I recently had to correct multiple items prices that were not labeled correctly and I had to engage the store cashier to correct. This has happened on at least one item over the past few months on nearly every visit. In this case I had to wait on an open cashier and the manager had us wait and wait and wait in order to get our corrections. I am thinking there is no need or reason to continue to shop at Sam's Club, my wife and I resolved to never go back there and allow our membership to lapse this year. I made a trip to the Moreno Valley Sam's club. I definitely can say I will never go back to that location. I will stay at the San before location . The store was not impressive to me. The people trying to sale you stuff as soon as you get out your car. Kids running loose in the store out of control. This place is a joke when it comes to calling and receiving customer service. Lack thereof! Phones ringing for 10 minutes on a weekday afternoon for the tire/ battery department just for it to get disconnected and have to call back. Just go to AutoZone for the battery you need, as for a majority of cars, the Sam's mechanic is to install due to battery location and liability policies. read more

If the system could acknowledge a no star selection that is my rating! I am a Sam's club member and experience a great inconvenience now that they reduced the number of parking spots for online orders down to 8. This is ridiculous! So in the 8 parking spots made available, it never fails there are 3-4 "reserved " spots that people park and go inside to shop. So you have to wait for one of the 4 spots available to get their order to open up. So as a club member I report this to the manager on duty to be told sorry not sorry! They can't ask the people shopping in the store that are parked in an online order spot to move their cars.. I asked if he could suggest that online orders be given at least 12 designated spots he then said it was not an option he also shared their delivery cars park there as well and that he could not understand the inconvenience for the online order pick up customers. Well it's nice to know that not only Sams club on canyon spring doesn't give a crap but they don't even want to hear you out! I left Costco because of how busy it is no matter what time of day and was happy to see sams bring the online order pick up convenience but with lousy management and piss poor operations I guess I'll cancel my membership. I came today around 3 or 4 pm. My Co-worker and I did a mobile order where we had to go pick it up. I forgot my phone where I had the app to tell me if it was ready or not. We parked in the #1 spot and proceed to walk inside the store to see if it was ready. I didn't get the chance to see his name but it was a guy with glasses that helped us out. He was so nice and told us yes it is ready. We asked if we can get it so we can take it but instead he offered to take it to our truck instead. We have a membership at Sam's Club 6363 Valley Springs Pkwy, Riverside, CA 92507. The store staff is very helpful and we spend over $600 on any visit. Problem is if you have to wait at register for associate to get an item that is electronic and can't be paid for till it is brought up it Is insane at this store. We have tried twice now to get a $129.00 blue tooth speaker for our I phone. A manager sent someone to get and cashier could not close us out till it was brought up to scan. Another manager came up after we waited 10 mins and said pay our $629 grocery bill and we could pay separate when they came up with speaker. NO not acceptable. We already stood there 10 mins after standing in line 30 mins waiting to get to register. So tired of hearing we are short handed 3 people called in isn't that why you have stand by staff to call in and is it even the shoppers problem. If I take a paper from the electronic department a staff member should be bringing up the item to his location and have ready to go to register not have to look for it when a staff member gets there. The last visit we stood 18 mins and no item brought up. Got fed up and left. I realize you make a lot of money from all your shoppers but what about good customer service. This is the number one reason businesses flourish. Does Sam's Club not care about the customer? Not good business standards and I have worked for some very large companies whose main goal was good customer service. Twice in the last couple of months, I purchased items, at this Sam's. I'm usually pretty good about checking expiration dates. On both items, I did not. One of the items was on a car pick-up order and had expired five days earlier. Quality control not working. If you shop at this Sam's, please check expiration dates. One of the items was potato salad. Hopefully, no one has become ill after consuming expired products from this store. read more

This place use to be great. For whatever reason it's like this place is diminishing fast. Whenever we go on a weekend which is the only time we can go, they are ALWAYS out of stock on the most simple things. From eggs to milk and other products. It's ridiculous. If you know holidays are coming up or events or whatever it may be, stock up! We will be making the further trip down to Murrieta or San Bernardino as this place sucks. Usually the food court items are a reliable quick bite to eat. Today our four hot dogs were cold, my slice of pizza had a spot that tasted minty which made me super nervous to continue eating the pizza. The Diet Pepsi was flat and one of the ice machines was out of ice. This was at 11:30 on a Friday. So I feel bad for the those coming during the lunch rush because they are already out of ice. Hi, I have to start this review by saying I am not a member of Sam's Club. I used to be, but no longer am. I stopped by this Sam's Club to partake of their hot dog and soda deal for my lunch that afternoon. I do not know if you all know, but, membership stores like Costco or Sam's Club can not make you be a member to buy something at the food court. The same rule applies to cigarettes and alcohol as well. They try to give you grief when you go in, but if you tell them you only want food, they will let you pass. My hot dog was very good. I prefer this place to Costco. The scan and go feature is amazing!!!! The service is good, however they very understaffed. The Club Pick up is supposed to save time but when they only have one person working in that department if your lucky 2 people working this service is not very affective. Came again to try the food and give them a chance again but there's no point, kitchen is heavy understaffed or simply needs better employees, if the 3 kitchen employees can't handle to make proper pizza that is not raw, or keep up with making the churros and pretzels that are always sold out maybe it's time to change the staff and give good wages to kitchen workers so that there can be more quality and better employees, on top of that not all the drinks were available, no icees or select drinks from the fountain, I would've gotten a fountain drink but if the people can't manage to keep up with simple kitchen work I assume they don't know how to clean the fountain drink nozzles either, whole kitchen area needs new staff, or at least be smart about it and write a sign saying what you're out of, it's safes time read more

In my opinion the customer service and work ethics in the tire department needs a thorough review by management, the poor communication, lack of hospitality by the Gentleman at the sales counter by the name of KB, I believe when a lady is not greeted after numerous attempts to reach out to someone for help with a tire repair on a Sam's Club tire that was bought and installed there is not the proper way a warranty issue should be handled, we believe the explanations by this staff in regards to there tire warranty is only a way of getting a sale, although Sam's club had a competitive rate for tires, I know now from the poor service my wife received there, that I will spend the additional costs to shop elsewhere, and try another tire business in hopes that they will treat women with more curtesy when needing help after a tire sale has been completed. Worker named barb blonde haired woman was very pushy in making her sales to get me and my husband to buy a membership but intentionally didn't say credit then asked for my social which is not needed for a membership then another worker said to me and my husband we can't walk around since they can't find my membership I already had even though by law if I'm buying alcohol or going to the pharmacy I am allowed to go. Let me start by saying I've been a sams plus member for as long as I can remember. With all the covid-19 chaos I am not happy about but I understand the loss of early entry even though I pay double what a normal membership costs. They have now started doing an early entry for "elderly and at risk" members. My wife is in her third trimester of pregnancy and I called to ask if we would be allowed in during the at risk hours to buy certain baby supplies to which the man on the phone told me no. I come here twice a month to get my bulk item stuff...TP..paper towels..etc. in the long run the bulk items save $$. I have also come here when they have their taste event going on. Come hungry cause they got some snacks you can try out. The store is nice and clean. The employees are curtious and helpful.
