My Bestie Austy and I checked in recently after watching a Movie next door and had a great time browsing the Riverside Plaza Marshalls Cave! Everything was very well organized and skillfully displayed in a way that sparked lovely ideas on how to enhance positive life giving vibes in our Home with Smart New Vibration Investments ;0) Austy and I were poquito tight on money but I was still able to snag a super elegant Tuxedo Style Mug that reminds us God has made everything beautiful in time! It was for only $5 and I love having it as a Chic reframing Reminder that all the painful trauma we experienced can be used as High Value Lessons on how to be better Guardians to the ones we lead in the future. Susana helped us process our Payment and we loved her as a Marshall's Hostess! Even though we checked out near closing time Susana still had upbeat and energizing super friendly and fun vibes. Susana was attentively engaging and helped us celebrate finding such a Stylishly Spiritually grounded Statement Mug, and asked us how our Movie night went!! I really wish this store would revamp. They are hit or miss and most often it's a miss. Lately they haven't had the best options and the store is untidy. Some shelves were empty in the home / kitchen area so the selection wasn't great. Customer service was good. Overall 6/10. read more

This Marshall's used to be amazing the first few years it opened up. Now it's a mish mash of items no one really wants. It's disorganized and messy, like Ross Dress for Less. It's smaller than most, so I realize they need to pack in items in a smaller area. Value is always great. Customer service could be improved. read more

I go to this store about twice a week for furniture, home goods, clothing and dog treats. Until today I have thoroughly enjoyed my trips there and the friendly staff has always been one of my reasons for shopping there. I said "until today". The completely rude, inconsiderate and unhelpful Alex(a short, chunky with dark haired female) working as a cashier did not ruin my mood but, did encourage me to write my first Yelp Review. She was horrible, nasty and to be completely honest, not all that with it. I just called and told Valerie the Manager and she was considerate enough to hear me out. Thank you Valerie. Henry, Norma, Lucerna and the tall, thin, long haired Goth-like girl at the front are awesome and again one of the reasons I get out of my Apartment and go to The Plaza. I must admit that we also go to Pier 76 for one of the best meals around, The Rack, Ulta for my hair color, Regal for my Unlimited Pass, Verizon for my iPhone/iPad, Chase for my banking,Trader Joe's and Vons for my groceries. Now, you have read why we are there so often! Thumbs up from me if you are fortunate to avoid that riff-raff at the register. read more

I often shop at TJ maxx or Homegoods, and I thought I'd try out a Marshalls for the first time to compare items and prices. By my experience, this Marshalls has a huge long aisle for clothes and a shoe section for all men, women, and children... ( but mainly women ). I'd say the style of clothing is decent, most of the clothing style is for comfort rather than professional looking clothing. The prices are a bit pricier, almost similar to TJ Maxx's. As for the candle aisle, there is also a huge selection of candles located in back. Many variety of brands that come in all shapes, colors, sizes, and scents... great if you're looking for a quick gift. Not to mention, Marshalls carries an abundance of gift bags, celebration cards, and other knick knacks as well for a reasonable price. There is also a wide selection of kitchen ware at this store located in the back. I can also say the same for phone accessories, that's located at the front, near checkout, there's a HUGE wall dedicated to it... there are incredibly great deals for that. As for the other items, there is not much selection or stock here. But I'll come here again because for the most part, it was clean and organized very well here if I needed to look for something quick. read more

I can't imagine the hell the employees deal with every day to TRY to put it back together, I'm sure some just give up! This is a nice Marshall's with great selection but we received horrible customer service from a coordinator named Alexis. We made a return of clothing that was a gift and the wrong size. We didn't have a receipt and she told us "Next time tell them to give you a gift receipt." Obviously this was out of our control. We found this very rude and unnecessary. She made the situation tense. Upon check-out cashier Hannah, who helped us out, was courteous and very polite. read more

VERY limited plus size fashion dept. In fact, dare I say, virtually no plus size section, maybe half a rack of thrown together stuff. Hey Marshall's, over 50% of women are "plus size". Learn your demographic! A lot of dog/pet supplies. Nice kitchen selection. Good selection of fragrance too. read more

During this covid they say they are open until 7 then i show up at 635 and they say they are already closed because the line is super long and they are at capacity. If you arent going to stay open until 7 dont say your hours are until 7 that is a huge inconvenience. Say you are open until 630 then.... Then you let someone else in after we leave because they have a return? This is nonsense. I still like marshalls because of the deals but this is going to send me to ross. read more

Not the biggest or best stocked Marshall's, I like the location and convenience, but most of the time I leave empty handed. The shoe section is decent, and clothing too dominates most of the floor space, but the home goods and kitchen sections are sparse and clearly do not benefit from the allocation of material from corporate. For a really good Marshall's I recommend that you go to either Redlands or Chino Hills. read more

Manager on-duty needs to be re-trained! On 8/1/18 I purchased a couple of travel items for long trip I was taking beginning near the end of August. I found two very nice looking items, a quilted gray backpack and a very pretty piece of carry-on luggage. My bill came to over $130.00. While I was on vacation my carry-on held up well however, the backpack zipper started to hang-up at various parts of the front access pocket. I continued to use it, since it was my travel "purse" in order to contain plane tickets, snacks, etc. On my last leg of the vacay, the zipper gave-out and the pocket fell open. At this point, I had to get a reusable bag to put the backpack in, so my wallet, etc. would not get lost. Today, I took the backpack to the Marshall's I purchased it from, to let them know about the broken zipper. I was hoping to get resolution by just exchanging it for the same or comparable item. Other than the zipper issue, I really like the style and functionality of the bag. I waited in line until I was called up and informed the sales associate the reason for my visit. She contacted the Manager-on-duty (Debra) who I again repeated the story. Since I did not have a receipt she stated they would have to look the transaction up by the DATE, which I DID mention to her when she asked about my issue. Then proceeded to tell me that she would also need the TIME of the transaction. I immediately contacted my bank and gave her the EXACT time of my purchase. She then proceeded to tell me I would have to remember the CHECKSTAND I was at when I purchased my items. I informed her that I had already provided her with the DATE/TIME of the transaction, and did not think I would have to be looking at the NUMBER of the cashier stand when I am purchasing goods from a retail store. It was soooooooooooo disappointing on how the Marshalls in Riverside Plaza handled my issue. The Manager on duty today (Debra) needs to find out a better way to help their customers. Suffice to say, I left with my broken backpack and a bad taste in my mouth on this retailers customer service. read more

I love this store for many reasons. Its close to my home, plenty of parking and a fairly big layout to the store. I do not care for their clothing as it seems to be mainly closeouts or leftovers from other stores, my biggest impression is that its last years fashions. No matter, if you are looking for a bag of socks or undies for your kids it will do, but its hit and miss with the shoe dept. They do not carry wide width shoes, so I end up getting the next bigger size. The last two pairs I purchased were name brands, (Skechers, and Natural Soul), however once worn for an hour or two, were both extremely uncomfortable. I completely understand that Marshalls cannot take back shoes that have been worn, ( let's face it, would you buy a pair of shoes that have been worn for a few hours?), so its buyer beware, the shoes might be seconds or irregulars or just very poorly made. I did purchase an awesome pair of Michael Kors sandals last year that I still wear. I do greatly enjoy strolling thru their housewares section, and have found everything from candles and photo frames, to garden statues and decorative items for my kitchen. Last few years, both my husband and I have enjoyed browsing their Christmas selection for wrap, gift tags and cards. We have picked up our two annual White Elephant gifts here too. Checkout could be a bit faster, but we are always greeted pleasantly by our cashiers, and thanked for shopping there. I find this Marshalls location to be a benefit to our local shopping economy and I am glad to have one so close by. read more

Came in back in March and spent $200 on sandals and clothes. Get home put my items in my closet and didn't think anything of it. Well low and behold a month later I go to wear a pair of the sandals I bought and couldn't because they forgot to take the security tag off at the register! That pissed me off because I would never think to check something like that once I leave the store. So I finally make my way back today and got an attitude from the manager because I didn't have my receipt and apparently they aren't able to remove their security tags without proof of purchase. However the manager goes on to say that she'll do me a favor and remove it this time. Excuse me? You're not doing me a favor! You're correcting your employees incompetence! How about an apology instead of an accusatory attitude and looks. I'll gladly spend my money elsewhere. read more

People seriously underestimate stores like this. I came in just to browse as someone I was with was looking for something more specific. Although the organization is probably at a much lower standard than other places like Nordstrom Rack or something, I'd say their selection of "things" is decent. I would definitely recommend coming to this Marshall's because it is large and spacious and you're bound to find something cute (if you're a girl) in the clothes section. I'm not sure how well the men's selection of clothing is, but they do have one side dedicated to them. If I were to rate them on cleanliness/how welcomed I felt in the store/customer service, I'd give them 3 stars. But I gave 4 just for the products they sell. read more

I am not a Marshalls person , I am more of a Ross. lol But I do admit the selection of the baby clothes, shoes, and kicthenware is quite epic . This would not be my go to place . More like I come here to get a gift for a birthday, christmas, etc. One thing is for sure that it is one of those places that is going to be crowded for a while. This location is awesome! I always find good decorations for my home or office. The only draw back is it's upstairs and you can't take the carts to the parking lot as the wheels lock so don't buy a lot of stuff that you won't be able to carry. They will unlock the wheels and an employee will go down with you, which sometimes can take a while. But again their selection is great so it's worth it lol read more

If you buy shoes there, make sure that you are 100% happy with your purchase because this store does not take returns. Last week my friend and I went in to see shoes, I got a pair of sandals for my mother and my friend a pair of sandals for herself, she later found out they had some type of nail in them that hurt her when she walked so she decided to exchange them. The manager at this store was very rude to her, she said that they couldn't give her money back or exchange them because she used them, then my friend told her the problem, after a few minutes of back n forth the manager told her she would make an exception and gave her store credit. In my opinion they should make that exception for everyone, no one should wear uncomfortable shoes and you can't know how comfortable they are until you walk in them. Buy the way I'm returning the shoes I got my mom, I don't want to take the chance. read more

I'm writing this review in hopes that a store manager will read it. We all know what Marshalls is, a discount department store. I feel bad for the employees, they have a hard time keeping it organized. But that's because the public comes in and disrespects it and doesn't put items back where they found it. I hate to think what their homes must look like. My primary issue for this review is the smell coming from the back of the store. It's the smell that emits from the restroom. It's disgusting and foul. I enjoy the housewares department, it's my favorite dept., but not at this store. This Marshall's smells so bad, I can smell it through my mask. At first I actually thought maybe I had bad breath! Until I took my mask off and there it was, the restroom stench from hellwafting down the aisles. And to make matters worse, they leave the bathroom door open. I don't smell delightful candles, I smell raw sewage. It's vile, disgusting, probably against all health codes, and cannot be healthy for anyone. I've been in gas stations that had less offensive smelling restrooms. I suggested to a store employee that she request the manager to install wall mounted, commercial time release spray deodorizers inside and outside the restrooms. I even went so far to say that housewares sales may increase as the result of a more positive olfactory shopping experience. A powerful exhaust fan in the restrooms would be the ideal answer, but based on the fact that the stench is continually there, just tells me that the manager doesn't like to spend money on their store. If you care about your employees and customers at all, please install some commercial time release spray deodorizers. And keep the bathroom doors closed! read more

I shop here often (at least once a week) and love the great deals they have. I recently purchased a Kate Spade wallet from them only for it to break not even a month later. I figured i would return it for store credit since I misplaced the receipt. The manager informed me they could not return it because it does not have the tag and they currently do not have any Kate Spade merchandise in stock. When I originally purchased the wallet the tag was attached to the sensor. When the cashier pulled the sensor off the tag went with it. I never got the tag to begin with! Needless to say I'm disappointed in their customer service. All I wanted was store credit for a future purchase. I should have just purchased the wallet from Nordstroms to begin with. The bargain is no longer a great deal as I now have to spend more money on a new wallet. read more

Great items and bargains. However unorganized and horrible customer service. An item was damaged and I asked for another one or a price mark down since it was the last of the item. I had to wait for a sales associate who could have been their manager to come to the front... she was super rude and asked me what is wrong with the item when clearly the contents of it were oozing out of the cap area (lotion bottle). I explained how I found it open and some of its contents were spilled. She could have said nicely that she can't do the price markdown but she was rude and had a condescending tone. read more

I come to this Marshall's everytime I come to Riverside. They have great selection of notebooks, foods, tupperwear, and once in awhile great higher brand accessories like givenchy or jack spade. It's also in the same plaza as Trader Joe's, Forever 21, Nordstrom Rack, etc. read more
