I was so excited when I learned that GFS was coming and couldn't wait for opening day! This store is amazing. It has grocery items, fresh produce, a international aisle, deli, pantry items, grab n go items including an entire rotisserie chicken for $5.00, meat and seafood, kitchen ware and freshly made popcorn ( Carmel and other flavors too) , dairy and frozen sections and best of all ; no membership fee. It carries items for your home or business (small restaurant) meaning that they carry very large sized items like 35lb of liquid frying shortening or 180 egg carton. It has aisles with cooking fluid, cleaning supplies , kitchenware, disposable plates, cups and gloves. It's like going to Oz! I was amazed at the vast inventory they carry and really good prices. We picked up a 50 count package of frito lay chips ( snack size) for $14.99. A pint of blue berries for $1.99 and a case of 12 ounce bottles of Coke de Mexico for $24.00. Just to name a few...... My cart was completely loaded and I came in just to look. We've been waiting a long time for a grocery store to come to this neighborhood and GFS doesn't disappoint. Located behind Pizza Bros. With their own parking lot. Monday to Saturday 7 to 8 Sunday 9-6 Go check out this store!

Wilson's Warehouse, Griffin, GA Date of Visit: 08/27/2021…read more This was my first visit to this business, but certainly not my last visit. Before we begin I am going to provide a link to the USDA government website explaining what expiration dates really mean, which is completely different then likely 95% of people think. https://www.fsis.usda.gov/food-safety/safe-food-handling-and-preparation/food-safety-basics/food-product-dating Wilson's focuses on purchasing overstock merchandise, stock from companies going out of business, stock from major retail sources who product is about to expire or that has expired. This could be paper/dry goods, vitamins, refrigerated/frozen items, appliances, clothing, and other items I may not have seen. This saves those companies sending it to landfills and wasting it. Wilson's then turns around and sells those items at absolutely incredible low prices. Due to the above they don't have a normal stock of items. The inventory and products will constantly change depending on the lot of goods they buy weekly. Can you say Treasure Hunt each time you visit! Dont let the outside of the building or its simplicity fool you. There are deals in here you will absolutely never, ever find in a regular store you normally shop at. Wilson's is in a location away from major retailing centers. The outside/inside of the building, signage, and parking areas could use a little updating. All of the employees I encountered were very helpful and busy. The inside is divided into two sections. The back area has the most dry goods, restaurant supply items and part of a freezer section. The front portion of the store has a couple refrigerated sections, another freezer section and some more dry goods. One thing to me which was of a potential concern was the freezer section some of the items we partially frozen and not fully frozen. Now this could be from it not freezing properly or it could be due to the product not being transported properly. The items that I did encounter like this weren't of a critical nature that it would have impacted quality though. Quite a bit of what I encountered was larger restaurant size goods or food size cans. Some was hotel overstock food. Examples of what I found. 1 gallon Ken's Honey Mustard, $2.99, 30 count package of brownies with cookie on top 99 cents, 1 gallon frozen chili 2.99, large restaurant size chili con carne 4.99, large tray of milk cake 1.99, large package of diced onions 99 cents, 22lbs of frozen chocolate chip cookie dough 4.99 large package of instant potatoes 99 cents, market street package of beef stew 1.99, and so on. They had much much more than I mentioned, but you will just have to get there and check out this little hidden gem of value. The sign out front does say to bring your own bags and boxes, just an FYI. They do have shopping carts inside. Pro-Tip: I brought my very large ice chest to make sure all my cold items stayed at the right temperature. I filled up a 119qt ice chest. The whole shopping cart stacked very high ended up being only $123.79. Try spending that low of an amount at your grocery store for a whole cart full of items...

The major chain pharmacy where my in-laws have their prescriptions doesn't deliver and isn't caretaker friendly when it comes to paying for scrips for parents over the phone. (not their fault, just corporate policy) I called Winslette in a panic because my in-laws needed a drug asap. They let me set up the account on the phone, got the scrip transferred for me and got it delivered same day. This was a huge help and put my mind at ease. They were very kind and took a lot of stress out of it for me. If you are a caregiver from afar, I strongly recommend you give Winslette a try. It will make your life easier and put your mind at ease.

A Scathing Review of Winslette Pharmacy (Extremely Slim Summary of a Review: It is too long let me…read moresum up). I (37, female) was a customer of Winslette Pharmacy since I moved into the neighborhood from early 2019- 6/7/2024, about 5 years. We've been through a pandemic together.    Winslette Pharmacy has a lot of good amenities and good attributes, but as a "practice" do not treat all their "patients" equally or act in their all of their best interests and if you find yourself requiring less of their services (be it because your health is improving and you need less prescriptions or your employer clinic gives you some medications at no cost to you) you will eventually be deemed not worthy of their time and asked to find another pharmacy.   ‍Overall I chose to go to Winslette Pharmacy because they are a local family business and as long as they're treating everyone fairly with respect then fantastic. I had never heard of wrongdoings by them. I didn't love that they use religious symbolism in their marketing but I had never felt judged or unwelcome there and I never felt like they were being evangelical or pushy with their beliefs so that was not an issue for me. Eventually they betrayed my trust by telling me to take my business elsewhere after stringing me along for six months. After having called an hour earlier to check if my medicine (one in shortage and high demand) was in stock and being told it wasn't I called back because the FDA shortage page listed my medicine as available. I was then told it was no longer being carried by them and was put through to the pharmacist:   I can't go word for word for the majority of my conversation with the pharmacist on this part because what he proceeded to tell me shocked me so badly that I just couldn't process it fast enough, frankly I may have asked him for clarification in a couple of different ways because I thought there was some misunderstanding and I was seeking to clear it up--- but I do very clearly remember him saying,  ‍"Ms. Robinson I'm sorry you don't like what I have to say about this, but we are not making enough money from you to supply this medication to you and we aren't taking new customers for this medication. We're able to supply it to our long standing customers but not you."  ‍"I'm not a new customer I've been coming here for years," I say incredulous, "I've been trying to get this for months from you, calling weekly."  ‍"But you don't get your maintenance prescriptions or any others here so it isn't worth it and we're loosing money on it so it's our policy to now only sell this medication to people who have already been getting it here and do business here,"  he said--yikes.    How long were they going to keep stringing me along on the phone, holding onto my prescription?   I had been calling devotedly for months at their suggestion to do so!   When did they decide I wasn't worth it anymore?  If I hadn't called back with more questions because I happened to check the FDA website today, when were they going to tell me about this "policy change?"  How long has this policy been in effect?   How long have they just been putting me off with the medicine available? Frankly, I wouldn't have been so upset if this had been handled differently. At no point was there a notice sent to me that there was a new, impending policy that would directly impact me, my medication, and my health. There was no call, no text, no letter, postcard, or even post on their social media nor sign on their door or drive through window.  ‍ There was no good faith "Hey these specific medications are harming our business because *insert reason here* and we can't keep supplying them to our customers"  ‍ No Siree.‍ Heck-- someone could have been forthcoming during ANY of my calls these past SIX months. If I hadn't called back--the same day-- an hour later with more bothersome questions taking up their valuable time, HOW LONG would I have been strung along with degrading hope and health. Also--- How many other people has this happened to?!?!  Edit: If this looks familiar but very different, I posted the whole review on the Rome GA Reddit and am about to add this version of it to Google reviews (both Google Reviews and Yelp have much smaller word counts than Reddit). What's different on this version: it cuts out A LOT of personal story, context, guessing work, a ton of entertaining emojiis and a bit of pettiness. I suggest searching for it, it has the same title: "A Scathing Review of Winslette Pharmacy"
