We like shopping at this location. The parking lot can get pretty full, but it is less packed than the other nearby box store. We find it clean & organized. The checkout lines aren't as bad, self checkout makes things easy, & they offer a Scan & Go app on your phone for shopping. You'll find the same, similar, or unique products compared to the other spot. They also offer samples. Some samples are offered via machine dispenser by scanning your card. They have a less busy gas station & roomier food court. Optical services have been very helpful & personable. Making returns has been quick & easy. They have items that I prefer to get here-- I like their rotisserie chicken. The mister loves their fresh squeezed bottles of orange juice. They have a tasty variety in their bakery & ready foods sections. I like that I can get bagels in smaller quantities that are pre-sliced. Some aren't necessarily the biggest discounts, but they have a very large selection of gift cards available. We like getting prepackaged snacks for our kiddo's class here, but note that you should make sure to check expiration dates as we've encountered some past due dates. read more

Not sure what's going on here, I used to greatly prefer Sam's to Costco. First of all, Cafe is now app orders only... okay. It says right on the screen to wait for your number to be called but psych! They won't make it until you wait in a ridiculous line and show them your order. Then you are hoping they aren't out of what you ordered by then or you can wait for them to cook it too. So inefficient! Think you'll be in and out at 2pm on a Wednesday? Nope. After your food court delay for a hot dog and a slice of pizza, there's are 10-15 people queued to leave. The door man is a rude as all and will yell at you if you think there are two lines (since there are two patches through the exit pylon). My husband got frustrated and walked out with our cupcakes and then he started yelling at me "where are the cupcakes!!" with my sleeping 3 week old baby right there. I told him I'm leaving and he said I'm going to mark it down!! As some kind of threat. I don't care call the police on the cupcakes I paid for already. Good thing my membership expires in 55 days because this was my last trip here. read more

We visit Sam's for certain items and stop into this location occasionally while running errands. They can be busy, but it seems like the checkout is pretty streamlined with multiple self checkout options. The items we typically get here are chicken wings, some of the produce, they have a good selection of packaged sandwich items (like salami), and a good snack selection. I also like their baking supplies here and tend to pick up flour, sugar, and chocolate chips here. It's pretty easy to get in and out and they have staples as well as seasonal and special items that come in throughout the year. read more

Sam's Club pizza is the best value when it comes to pizza. For $8.99 you get a 16 inch pizza. I prefer Sam's over Costco because (a) they have more varieties including my favorite 4 meat and (b) the Scan & Go app makes it easier to get in and out. We had a family get-together at a park and I picked up 5 pizzas. They aren't gourmet but considering the price they are excellent and the crust has a nice doughy taste. You can also get a huge slice of pizza and a soda for $2.50. I have memberships at both Sam's & Costco. I prefer Sam's because the Scan & Go app makes shopping so much easier. read more

My complaint is with the App with regard to ordering a battery. It doesn't let you add a core. Also I ordered one and was told 9a to 10am for pickup yet the automotive side doesn't open until 10! No one could take the old one and hand me the one I purchased. So I will make two trips on Father's Day for a battery. Lame. So I have perpetually put off Sam's Club as a long term Costco member but finally decided I had to see what it was all about. By the time I got halfway through the store, I recognized a lot of different items that I could not get at Costco. I had to sign up that day! I have added this shop to our rotation and have loved quite a number of items and get gas there as well. For a nominal annual fee, this is a great addition for our shopping needs. read more

I have had a nightmare of a time finding a pharmacy since Rite Aid closed. CVS was terrible and Walgreens seems to dislike all of their customers. Called Sam's Club to see if I could transfer my prescriptions there and the person I spoke with was so nice and helpful. I didn't get my hopes up but when it came time to fill those prescriptions they were amazing again! Then I went tpick up my prescription and I got to meet Lizzy. It's never going to beat the customer service and nicer items as Costco, but they do have the option of using the Sam's Club app Scan & Go feature. That convenience is mainly the reason I still patronize this bulk store. I usually buy pantry staples like Yakult, organic juices, and kombucha not sold by Costco. Milk is also one staple purchase as they sell in single gallons. The other thing I don't like with Sam's are the receipt checkers who delay the shopper's egress. I get that they're shoplifting deterrents more than anything else, but they need a better system or more staff so the customers can be off to their merry ways quicker. read more

I absolutely love shopping at Sams Club. I shop here at least once a week for the deals they have on meat and to buy my cases of water! First off, you need to purchase a membership to shop here. You can do so by coming in and talking to customer service or going online. There is also a special on Groupon every once in a while(at the moment, it's $20 for a year membership). Your basic membership ($50) includes access to the store and discounts. For the Plus Membership ($110), you earn 2% cash back rewards on eligible items, early shopping hours, free select prescriptions, other discounts, and receive free shipping on eligible items. When I shop at Sams Club, I have the option to go through a register with an employee, I can use self checkout, or, my favorite, I can use the Scan & Go feature on the Same Club app. As long as you scan everything you are walking out with, you can pay through the app with your credit or debit card. There is also a spot for you to pay with your EBT card on the app. I love that I can buy large packs of meat in the meat department. It helps me feed my family and friends easily without spending a whole bunch of money. Ribs and chicken are a better price here than anywhere else. The ribs are thick & and meaty, just the way ribs should be. There is a great selection of fruits and vegetables, canned foods, boxed dinners, coffee, and pet needs. Some furniture items and electronics. They have a very small yet elegant jewelery section. Snacks and candy... Don't forget to check out the gorgeous, beautiful, and delicious bakery! Filled with cookies, brownies, crossiants, French breads, & more! There are always cupcakes, bar cakes and Tiramisu! The 3 tier chocolate fudge cake is a family favorite of mine... especially my dad's... There is a nice selection of clothing for all ages, shapes, and sizes. Socks, underwear, t-shirts, pj's, baby clothes, seasonal clothes for men, women, and babies. If you purchase your items inside Sams Club, using your app, you will save money on select items! Yesterday, I purchased diapers and wipes and received a $15 e-card to Sam's Club just for purchasing these items together. After I'm done shopping, I like to stop by the cafe. Here, Sams Club offers a quick snack or meal for your convenience. I enjoy the hotdogs because they are Nathan's brand (which are freakin delicious). I am disappointed they do not have mayo as an option for the hotdogs, but they have everything else... I don't get hotdogs as often as I used to because of this. They do offer slices of pizza, regular and pizza pretzels, and other options. Yesterday, my sister enjoyed a huge slice of pizza. As you exit Sams Club, employees do a quick scan of your items and match it to the receipt. It's just protocol, and the system works. I recommend the Plus Membership. Convenient Shopping [Roseville CA] I guess after 230 check-ins it's time for me to review. This location is our local Sam's Club in Roseville. I am a club member and get gas here when my car needs a fill up. My hubby likes to go to the Sam's in Citrus Heights because the line there is never long (at least every time I've gone there with him) and gas price is cheaper than in Roseville. I like the convenience of no crazy crowds (as opposed to our Costco) when shopping here and I like the self-checkout feature because often times I don't buy a whole lot of items. Member perks also include curbside pickup, same-day delivery, and the latest feature --Scan & Go Checkout. I'm new to this but an associate showed me the convenience in using this. I downloaded the app and purchased a hotdog combo ($1.38+tax) and paid in the app. I went in line to pick up my food. No transaction. It was quick and easy. I also use their free BP machine at the screening station in the pharmacy area (back of the store). This machine allow users to check pulse, blood pressure, weight and BMI, and track and share information over time by an online app (if you download the health screening platform). I am beyond disappointed with Sam's Club and their handling of our recent order, which has completely ruined our 4th of July holiday plans. As premium members, we pay for the privilege of early access and pickup services, trusting Sam's Club to deliver on their promises. However, their incompetence and poor customer service have left us high and dry. We placed a large, expensive order well in advance for our holiday gathering, expecting to pick it up today between 8 AM and 9 AM. This order was critical for cooking for our company. To our shock, we received a notification that the entire order was canceled without any prior warning or explanation. This has left us scrambling, as the reimbursement process takes days, and we don't have the extra funds to repurchase everything in-store. Our holiday plans are now in shambles because of Sam's Club's failure. To make matters worse, getting in touch with anyone at Sam's Club was a nightmare. We recorded a phone call with their customer service, who admitted that canceling the entire order was a mistake but offered no real solutions. They were utterly useless in addressing the issue, leaving us with no groceries and no immediate way to recover financially until the reimbursement processes. My husband and I went in to grab a rug for our living room and, in true Sam's Club fashion, walked out with $700 worth of stuff--lol. We have memberships to both Sam's Club and Costco, but we always prefer shopping at Sam's unless we have to go to Costco. Parking is never an issue, the store isn't overcrowded (even on a Sunday), and the service is consistently great. Another big reason we stick with Sam's is the convenience--they offer curbside pickup and delivery to your door, and I use both options all the time. The store was very organized and clean. I don't get out to this location often. There's a lot of stuff that they have that the other stores do not, and several items that are only specific stores. For instance if you're a Niners or Raiders fan.... this store carries Niners gear while other stores may carry Raiders. I was told it's store by store. Power Inn carries Raiders, Citrus Heights carries Niners. Lots of good Halloween Holiday goodies already hotting the store. I was impressed by the new deli add in the deli fridge attached to the food court. Chicken salad croissant sandwiches only $2.74 with thons of meat! The cashier was extremely friendly and made food recommendations based on what was in my cart. Good reference for my next trip, and also made me feel I made some good choices. read more

But you pull the register out of the cafe and theres no one there to tell you or to show you how to do it. After standing there for 5 minutes, I interrupt the cook and they tell me I have to download the app to order. I got stuck and asked for help and she said she didn't know how to do it. Plus there isn't good service so it took me forever to download because the service isn't good in Sam's. I'm a Costco girl. I said what I said. Shopping at Sam's is a much different than shopping at Costco. Yes, they do carry very similar items, and in some strange universe, Sam's club does seem to offer some of those items at better prices. This particular Sam's Club is interestingly, right next-door to it sister, store, Walmart. Both locations are consistently and constantly busy, and both completely stocked, which makes it so much easier to shop and drop your money. How much rather surprised to find that there are people on the floor that were stocking, and keeping things, neat and tidy, but also super friendly at the same time. Especially, at this time of year, when everyone and everything is just so crazy! This isn't the store that I would purchase beef from, but if you do, good on you. They do, however, carry some dips in larger quantities, and other essentials, which really help out if you're throwing a party, entertaining, or just need to feed the masses. We were able to pick up party essentials, including paper products, etc. at a very reasonable price, not to mention some pretty tasty items as well. Parking is crazy, chaotic because it's a club store, so I would shop either during the wee hours of when they open, or definitely much later in the afternoon like we did. It was easy to get in, shop, pay, and get out in a reasonable period of time . Yes, you do have to pay for membership. It's not quite as pricey as other warehouse stores, but remember you get what you pay for. read more

Be aware of the tire center! They switched out my bolt & kept lying saying they didn't do it. I have videos and photos of my car leaving my home with the bolt on & they are still denying it, although THEY switched my tire out, nobody else. The manger Sun is no help, he never is! Getting profiled at this Sam's club a lot. I go to this Sam's club and the one in citrus heights and the difference is very noticeable. I'll be in a line of 13 people 6 in front 6 behind me. And I'll be the only one who's recipient get checked and ALL items in my basket/hands scanned while the people in front and behind me just get to Walk out. They used to scan everybody's receipt I guess not anymore now they just pick and choose. And they make it pretty obvious who they're looking for. One would think having to pay for a membership would exclude them from this kind of profiling but I guess not. read more

They promote the Scan and Go feature, but if you have alcohol, you have to go through the checkout. They had two manned registers open, so it took 45-60 minutes. Reading some of these reviews, I think people have to realize that Sam's promotes a lot of people from Walmart so you are bound to get that level of service sometimes. We primarily use Sam's for their pharmacy--their staff/pharmacy techs/pharmacists are really great. While we are there we may pick up a grocery item or two, however we made the mistake of buying the Sam's brand milk during the beginning of the pandemic and won't be purchasing that again. The milk went extremely bad well before the expiration date. Costco's organic milk never has that problem. The tire department is great. We once rolled in with a nail in our tire and they had us in and out in 20 minutes. We had purchased those tires from them but apparently they will do these repairs for members no matter where you bought them. They'll also do free rotations and balancing. Their gas station is very competitive with Costco's pricing without all the rush. The Sam's MasterCard will also give back 5% on gas while Costco's Visa only does 3%. Visited. Sam's club today. An extremely loud alarm went off in the store ! Sounded like a fire alarm after about 20 seconds we headed towards the exits to get direction on the "emergency". Them the alarm went off and absolutely no announcement was made by the store to explain. The noise level was deafening- way above OHSA guidelines. As we left the store I asked an associate about it. She said the alarm goes for when they open the jewelry counter. This is ridiculous . Not to advise customers prior and / or provide explanation after. There were multiple people in the store with children, disabled persons and elderly with limited mobility. This noise was jarring and thinking that it happens multiple times a day is simply in acceptable and may be traumatizing. This Sam's is HUGE but the layout is a bit strange. It's not super well organized but it is well stocked. The service inside the warehouse is terrible though. The app offers scan and go but I couldn't even get my phone open and able to scan. Unlike the Sacramento location, the service is pretty quick and cashiers get you in and out. read more
