I am writing this review on the wireless department and not SAM'S as a whole. I recently purchased a Samsung Note 7. I ordered it as a preorder. On the day I picked it up the staff was very helpful with the process. A couple of months later started all the recall talk. I went to the store and was informed that there would be a new Note 7 coming out shortly and had the option of keeping it and returning when the new one came out or returning for a loaner. I chose to keep mine. Finally after the stopped production I went to exchange it. The staff was extremely helpful with every visit I made, especially the last one. Jeffrey was very patient with me, especially because AT&T kept giving him a hard time due to my unlimited data plan. So a simple 10 minute exchange wound up taking over 2 hours but he was very patient and did all that he could to keep the process rolling. read more

Unless you have a business that requires you to buy tons of stuff regularly, joining Sam's Club is just not worth it. A lot of times, things are even cheaper at Walmart, which is right beside it. Probably the best thing about Sam's is that there aren't long lines -- but not much to buy here anyway. read more

I will unabashedly say I love this store. I actually enjoy wandering the aisles for an hour or so once every few weekends. There's a bunch happening here to be excited about, and a few minor drawbacks. (1) Organics: I know that all you Costco fans out there will snicker at this, but Sam's actually has a really good organics selection--with one notable omission--chicken. Someday I hope they get organic chicken. But in the meantime they have some pretty great organics including organic cage-free eggs, organic milk, organic apples, organic carrot juice, even organic maple syrup (go figure). List goes on... (2) Alcohol: This place probably has more alcohol than your typical liquor store, and a pretty good high-end selection as well. Personally, I love the $28 Maker's Mark (750ml), but they also have a great price on Macallan 15. Huge wine selection, and an ok beer selection (some crafts, but far too many mass-produced beers). (3) Bakery: Can get custom cakes (and cupcakes) for a great price. Multi-tiered cakes as well. Great particularly for kids birthday parties. Personally, I love the cakes--always moist and the frosting (butter-creme) is outstanding. (4) Meat: Pretty decent selection of meat with crazy low prices on ground beef($2.99/lb for 90% lean). Of course, they also have the $4.99 rotisserie chicken. Decent price for fairly-well cut steaks (ribeye, strip, T-bone, etc.). Is it as good as Fairway's meat selection? No, but it's about half the price and great for everyday meals. Wish they had organic chickens though (They do have a "natural" chicken which is priced similar to organic chicken, but it isn't organic). (5) Produce: $2.99 for a huge bag of cleaned and chopped lettuce? -- I'm in! Plus, a very wide apple selection, well-priced strawberries / blackberries / blueberries. They also have this organic carrot juice that I've become addicted to. Way better produce selection than most of the supermarkets in the area. Love it. (6) Milk and eggs: Again wide spectrum from your gallon of standard milk to DHA-organic whole milk. Plus, a couple brands of organic, cage-free eggs. All well-priced. (7) Consumer-packaged goods: Big packages. Cheap prices. Name brands. Just as you'd expect. Moving along... (8) Pet stuff: Wish they had more toys, but where else can you buy a 6-month supply of Milkbones for $8? Also great prices on pet meds at the pharmacy (2 months of phenobarbital runs me ~$15). Also, they have a cheap Frontline substitute which is pretty effective. Food bags might be too big if you have a small pooch. (9) Tires: Prices are equivalent to Tire Rack but a great road hazard program which really comes in handy living in Jersey. (10) The unexpected: Sometimes they just have stuff that, well, just surprises you...Once they had these hand-painted oil paintings...$300 paintings lying around next to the produce section...kinda odd, but kinda cool too... read more

Such a great, convenient location for a Sam's Club next to a Walmart and near a theater and multiple plazas down the road. Club Pick-up is a great option and always offers great fresh produce and service and some very good deals. Always look forward to going to this location read more

I am a fan of big box stores but this location is one of the worst. Customer service is less than satisfactory. On weekends, there aren't enough cash registers manned so the lines take forever. The location also lacks in variety of items compared to other Sams locations in central NJ. I, however, have to come to this location as it is the only one with in 25 miles of where I reside. Perhaps its not too late to try a Costco but will wait till my current Sams membership expires next year. read more

Pharmacy is great if you do not have insurance, but their legacy system and clueless employees make your life hard. I keep getting calls from the pharmacy every few days asking me questions about why I ordered such and such medication, when in fact their computer is making them do the work. My profile can't be accessed by sam's club app since their website got hacked, and I can't get a new profile to look up my medication. Not pleasant to deal with the pharmacist either, even though she is over eager to help. read more

I've been a member for years and yet the place is orderly & clean. They need a set of eyes if it's busy or not. When it's busy lines get looong and when it's slow staff walks about like the walking dead. The best way to shop there is through the scan & go app. other wise you'll get stuck on line. read more

Products are always in order. Store has a great variety of stock of items at a good price. Love their chocolate froyo and their Pizza. What I don't like is that some of the cashiers are too slow and checkout lines tend to backup. There are few employees with a bad attitude towards the customer. read more

In my opinion, this store is better than Costco. I used to shop at Costco for many years. I used to think Costco should be better than Sam's, even I didn't try Sam's. Now I know Sam's is actually better than Costco. Sam's fresh produce foods, meat are tastier and fresher than Costco. And, some item you don't have to buy in bulk size. They offer grocery store size for a lot less. Costco never sell non bulk item. read more

This Sam's Club is okay, and has a liquor section which most in North Jersey do not. The lines are ridiculous though, and like another posted said if they get really busy they have someone scan your cart and you can pay at any register to save time. There's some bleedthrough from the Creatures of Walmart in the parking lot so be very careful walking to the store because the pedestrian crossing zone in front is routinely ignored by the Creatures. read more

The lines are almost not worth the deals. Avoid it as much as possible. Cashiers are always crying in the restroom complaining about the managers. Must be a shit hole to work in and it shows to the regular shoppers. 30min waits in line. read more

This place is horrible. I came here to get a new membership and saw in an ad that they had a backpack for sale. When I got my membership, they had computer problems and wrote my membership number down on a paper so I could use it for checkout. So on I go to look for my backpack. I asked 1 associate and they said they don't understand what I was looking for (They didnt speak english well). I asked associate #2, and they said they don't carry backpacks. I asked associate #3, and he said that I should just go to the Walmart next door and buy it there. So eventually after walking around every where, I found it on my own. So when I went to the cash register, the number for my membership was written wrong, and they couldnt check what number it was because the computer systems were down. And they couldnt give me a new number because they didnt want a duplicate. Eventually after wasting all the time in the store. I left with no backpack. I cancelled my membership the next day and received a refund. Never again. read more

I love Sam's Club. The Secaucus location has tons of stuff, including alcohol. The staff is very friendly, including the ones who give out samples on Saturdays. Heck, you can even get good quality clothes here. Holy moly. Talk about getting your money's worth. It's definitely worth the membership. I hope they bring back the 2 large bags of chips for $5.98 deal. read more

They received a star because they have what I need . The customer service is horrible at this location . There are 4 ppl standing behind the counter but only one person is assisting customers .Somedays they ask you for your card and other days they do not . Some days you are able to shop as a business member depending on who is at the door , other days you aren't allowed to. There is no consistency at all . If I had another option I would cancel my membership based on my experience at this location . read more

The last dozen times I've gone to Sams club in Secaucus going back to about the beginning of June, I bought Meat every time. I like London Broil and Chop meat mostly. I always stand there for at least 5 minutes looking at all the packages to try and figure out which ones look the freshest but almost every time I get home and begin to cut up the meat and put it in different packages to freeze because you have to buy a HUGE package of everything at Sams, the outer 1/4" of the chop meat is nice and red and the whole rest of the inside that you can't see while it's in the package is a nasty greenish brown color. I usually eat it anyway unless it smells really bad. If it does I just throw it away. Their London Broil isn't nearly as good as their chop meat. Some how they manage to make it look nice and red in the package but when you open it up it's usually green under the labels and smells bad to some degree, sometime's really disgusting. I never take anything back anyplace, I always just figure they got me which certainly doesn't help keep up the quality of the store. I just retrim the meat getting most of the green off of it and throw about a third of the whole package away and then freeze the rest. Then when I cook it, I make it a little more well done than I would normally do and after it's cooked I decide if it tastes eatable. I'd say all totaled I probably eat almost as much as I throw away and have gotten an upset stomach 3 times in the last 4 months. This last time I finally said not anymore and took the London Broil back. There were only 2 people in front of me for the return line so they got to me in about 20 minutes which is the main reason I don't usually return stuff. They know exactly what they're doing here. So the girl gives me a $20 store credit and I go buy another London Broil and a Rotisserie chicken which I think is their best buy in the store. They are always delicious and moist inside and one of the main reasons I even go to Sams many times. I leave the store and spend another 5$ on some guy in the parking lot that's selling some junk chewy rubbery candy because his 4 year old daughter is standing there looking up at me. I get home and throw the London Broil in the fridge for a little while, while I attack the Rotisserie Chicken. I bought this chicken at 11 in the morning, an hour before lunch so I know I got the first batch and the chicken is going to be delicious regardless of what they have to inject into it to be able to sell a whole delicious cooked spiced chicken for under $5. I cut it open and it's the driest chicken I have ever bought there. I can only figure it was one of the left overs from last nights batch that I guess they don't throw away like you would think. This pisses me off enough to throw the whole chicken in the garbage. I go to the fridge and take out my new London Broil and open it up, to cut it up and freeze the smaller portions, and it's green under the labels and smells easily worse than the one I returned to get it. On top of all this my membership was almost up and the girl at the register talked me into renewing early so I now have another years membership. I give up. I will still use my membership at Sams for certain things but I will now plan my meat runs to Stop and Shop over at Clifton Commons. Before Walmart bought everything and chased the Stop and Shop out of Secaucus I don't remember once bringing back meat, or throwing it away, or feeling that I had to overcook it just to make sure I wouldn't get sick, or actually get sick. I also use to have a membership at Costco's and don't remember having nearly the quality issues that I have at Sam's. I just couldn't handle Costco's parking disaster, I mean lot. read more

i bought a lunch bag from sams club online, could not track my order call customer service. rep stated item is out of stock and have to wait a few days for her to place a refund request. call back spoke to a supervisor and was told that within 5 to 7 business i will received refund. never got my refund. sam's has just lost customer. will not shop with them again. read more
