The food was awesome. Our server was a little rude though. My husband asked her what kind of white sauce they had and she looked at us like we were stupid and laughed and said "umm..white sauce". A lot of places have different white sauces and my husband is picky about his sauce. Wish she was more particular. Also, we had group of people with us and she seemed to rush through their drink orders and seemed annoyed whenever we asked for something. Also I had lasagna and it said it came with a salad and garlic bread but I never got my garlic bread and asked her later on and I still didnt get it. Had lunch here with a group of co-workers and while the service was great, the quality of the food was poor. The fountain sodas tasted flat and the replacement sweet tea had way too much sugar in it. I ordered the steak and cheese sub with French fries. There was a visible white/blonde hair attached to one of my French fries. You could tell it was in the batter and that it bonded to the French fry after it hit the grease to cook. The waitress was very professional and apologetic. She mentioned the situation to the owner and he offered to cook a replacement meal for me. At this point I was already full (and disgusted) so I politely declined. I went in with my family for a late lunch. Husband had a chicken sandwich which was good he said. My two kids had cheeseburgers which they enjoyed. I had a Greek salad with chicken that was super good. Huge and fresh..generous with the feta. We all drank water. Service was decent. About 30 bucks for us four. Food was simply okay. Don't expect much more than what I consider to be basic bar food. Also nice to see the local constable has nothing better to do than watch the parking meters "like a hawk." Sam's serves the best burger ever: THE SAM BURGER. Hand made patty, cooked to order with lettuce, tomato, and Sam's special sauce, which tastes suspiciously like 1,000 Island dressing. This place had an outstanding shrimp salad. One salad is easily enough to share with nicely seasoned med-large shrimp. Service is always with a smile. read more

I used to enjoy stopping by here for a meatball sandwich and some beers. Nothing too special and back when I used to go there, it was nice and cheap. Definitely would recommend the meatball sandwich. I'll stop by again if I find my way back to Quantico. read more

Not a bad place to come in Q Town but wasn't too impressed. Server was nice but didn't even know the beer. I ordered a Reuben with onion rings. A good sandwich choice but everything was just way too greasy. Be sure to sit towards the back, their AC didn't seem to be doing much cause the front of the place would not cool down as it was in the sun near the door. read more

It was decent but a little pricey for what you got out of it. They were vacumming non stop the whole time I was there. I couldnt even hear my husband talking on the other end of the table. My dad and I came here for dinner while we were in Quantico. Both of us left stuffed, and the food was excellent & well priced. Dad was a Marine in Vietnam, so he felt right at home with the decor. Found this place on a whim. We love it. Just a good restaurant with great people. You can sit back and relax.

I have only purchased the Rib Eye sandwich with Fries and once with Garlic Bread. The rib eye is decent if you like a fatty piece of meat which I do, it is by no means restaurant quality Rib eye which brings me to my complaint. I do not care for Sam's Fries, they taste like they were cooked in old Oil and they are crusty and just not that good of fries. They will only take 75 cents off your order if you order the rib eye without fries and the explanation is he is giving you rib eye for cheap. Like I said the 4 times I have had this sandwich trust me when I say it is about the cheapest rib eye you can get, lots of fat every time and a thin slice. So this last time I tried to substitute the fries because I just throw them out and wanted something more then just the sandwich. So I ask to change it to the garlic bread with cheese and this is where I got ripped off. Not only do they give a $1.75 up charge but they only give you half an order and to top it off only 2 out of the 8 peices of bread had cheese on it. This makes no sense because an order of fries is $2.50 and an order of Garlic bread is $3.25, I should have gotten the full order for a 75 cent up charge, but instead I get half an order for that up charge with very little cheese. I do not think I will ever eat at this place again, they just lost a customer because of their shady practices. read more

You can't beat Sam's in Quantico. I've eaten most of the entrees on the menu since my first visit as a Lieutenant in the early 80's. Retired now and a contractor in Quantico, my go-to place for lunch. There's a full bar as well. And Sam's a great guy, and it's a family place with his sons behind the counter. You always have to pay Sam at the counter - that's the way it's been since he opened in the early 70's. It also lets him meet his patrons - he remembered me after nearly 20 years. read more

SAMs is a quaint family run bar and grill nestled in Quantico. The food is consistently above average and the servers are prompt and always friendly. They offer a divers menu but hands down they serve the best burger in the area. read more

My daughter got a steak salad, the steak was pieces of ribeye and she loved it. Best big tasty salads around. She got the chocolate fudge cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for dessert and said it was delicious! read more

Sticky table top, like years of old varnish, cobwebs and dead flies in the window, plus a live one flying around my head as I ate. Ordered a Haddock sandwich and onion rings. The sandwich was okay, but likely frozen and not fresh fish. I couldn't find the onion in my onion rings; they just seemed like onion flavored breading rings. Wait staff were more interested in watching a soccer game than in providing service. When the waitress finally came to collect our dishes and we asked for the check, she said, "Just head up to the bar and he'll take care of it." Will not be eating there again. read more

Visited the place for the first and last time Friday Night. Extremely poor service. Got there at 5:00, no food by 6:30. We had three OCS Candidates with us that we were honoring. They had to leave at 6:30 to report back to duty, so they had to go without food from lunch to breakfast the following day. Lousy service, poor attitude, and then they had the audacity to over charge us over $15.00. Again, lousy service, overcharged, poor attitude. read more

My lady and I have frequented Sam's on several occasions and their pizza and hot wings are great! However, stay away from the chicken! On our last visit the chicken in my wrap and on my lady's salad had turned pungent and had a consistency of mush. Also, if you like sweet tea it's very inconsistent...sometimes great other times tastes noticeably old. read more
