Been here a few times. They are not fast food, so be patient. The food is great and reasonably priced. Staff is always helpful and friendly.

Incredible quality food. I'm a sucker for some fried oysters, and not only were the oysters delicious but the green beans and red beans and rice I got as sides were freaking amazing. I'm in Sam's right now and I love it! We shared four very large catfish fillets. The fries are great, the coke slaw is good and I really like the spicy hush puppies. No, they aren't the usual hush puppies you find everywhere, but they are wonderful. They are fast, even though our meal was prepared after we ordered. They are also patient and polite. The restaurant is clean and neat. I'm really picky about eating fish, and this fish is cooked well. Two of us had trouble finishing one dinner. We will definitely be repeat customers! read more

I hate writing negative reviews but this was by far the worst seafood I've ever had in my life!! The Only reason we went here was because Cajun Seafood is closed on Tuesday but we should have waited. We ordered the oysters, they were dirty, red beans & rice which was just watery beans, catfish that you can taste hadn't been washed, and burnt hush puppies. The only thing that was somewhat edible were the canned green beans. For $34 I definitely expected better. Do Not Eat Here. read more

Our family ate there July 2,2023 . The grilled salmon was excellent and garnished with delicious vegetables. The 25ct fried shrimp was great along with the fries and red beans/rice. I had the fried chicken livers with fries and red beans/rice. All the food is prepared to order, so everything came to the table hot! It all tasted great and the staff was very friendly. Food was cooked to order so you may have a wait a little, worth it. We waited for about 5 mins (not long at all) for our 3 meals. The shrimp was big and seasoned. We also had the fish, fries, chicken and bo boy sandwich. Did not have a complaint at all. Will definitely go there. We received a military discount as well. Which was an added plus. Awesome establishment! The team there makes every attempt to make you feel welcome and that you are satisfied with the food. The decor is dated but you are not there for the decor. I NEVER leave reviews but my terrible experience required it! First, this is NOT 'Home style southern cooking'. The "hush puppies" are something middle eastern and spicy NOT hush puppies. I ordered a grilled tilapia platter, I asked for lemon pepper tilapia nd they gave me plain tasting tilapia (with fajita veggies on it? I've never heard of fajita veggies going on fish but ok) with a lemon on the side, I'm not sure if they just didn't know what lemon pepper was or not but if they didn't they should have told me they didn't have that option lol.My hush puppies tasted nothing like hush puppies I agree with the one bad review from Tee D. The hush puppies are trash, and my coleslaw was soured and went bad like it had been left out for way too long. The portion size was also super small for it to be 13.99 for a platter. I spent $40 when the food was worth $20 at most, and that's me being nice‍ don't waste ur money here. read more

I tried Sam's Southern Eatery for the first time today and was very happy I did. I almost didn't stop because I had eaten at the seafood restaurant that was in that building previously and was very disappointed but I'm so glad I noticed that it was a different restaurant now . I got the #31 flounder with six shrimp and it was all very good. The shrimp are so large they were meal in themselves and you can tell they're super fresh. The Flounder was fresh and light and perfectly cooked. It came with half of a lemon which was a nice surprise and two sides. I got the coleslaw and tried red beans and rice for the first time. The coleslaw was crisp and the red beans and rice had a nice Smoky flavor. The owner greeted me at the window and he was super friendly as was the cashier and you could tell how proud he was of his restaurant. I picked mine up through the drive-thru and it was still piping hot and crispy by the time I got home. Be sure to go by and give it a try read more

We had Jumbo shrimp and Salmon and shrimp special! It was by far best Food I had in a long time! The Jumbo Shrimp is really Huge! Fried to perfection not oily! Well seasoned! The Salmon and the Salmon and Shrimp were so good and 5 star worthy! Delicious Fries! Portions are very generous. Best thing is Sodium content is perfect! My new favorite place to eat! read more
