Stopped in on a whim on a Thursday evening after being at Kutis nearby. Not very busy. Service was top notch and I honestly felt bad I stopped in for a more casual dinner than they are known for. The house salad with Mayfair dressing was delicious and really hit the spot! Really enjoyed the crab cakes, Louisiana Shrimp and big round toasted ravioli's. Will be back for a special occasion and order a steak because darn did they look good. And the potatoes!

Wow this place was gorgeous walking into for the holidays! Christmas lights was a vibe! Came here with family for my bfs bday. We all got French style prime ribs and surf n turf. I personally like the cowboy ribeye more. Everything is big portions so worth the price. We got reservations so came in right when they opened Saturday at 5 but by 7 place was packed.

Great bar at Sam's. Nice Bourbon selection.

Old school Steakhouse with an excellent staff both in the dining room and at the bar. Started at the bar for some nice cocktails, wanted a Calumet Bourbon, but ended up drinking something else. Moved to the dining room and we had the Prime Rib and a Fillet. Both done to perfection, both served with the paper wrapped Baked Potato. The bread and salad were both good, not great. A great experience for the old-time supper club feeling. I would feel great bring my kids or my grandparents here for any special occasion. We were walk-ins on a Tuesday night, and had no trouble getting a table, but when we left - every table was full. 2 people with drinks $140.

We had a lovely dinner at Sam's. All of the food was great and it had great service. It's a nicer restaurant with someone playing piano. For two people to have a 6 ounce fillet each, upgraded sides, salad, bread, an appetizer and a bottle of wine, it was about $200 total. So pricey, but nothing outrageous and probably less than some other steakhouses. Everything was great, but probably my favorite thing was the crabcake appetizer. And the warm bread that they brought to the table was amazing! Probably some of my favorite free bread I've ever had.

First time coming here to celebrate our Anniversary!!! At first we thought we were underdressed and needed fancy clothes but all was good!!! lol We were quickly seated to a table and the entire wait staff were very attentive. Your water glass will never be half full. The Moscato and Tito's and soda were good. Started off with the Smoked Porkbelly Deviled Eggs. They were yummy. Who knew drizzling maple syrup on them would elevate the taste. I could have used more PorkBelly!! The Ribeye was amazing!!! And the Grantwood Filet with Bernaise and Lobster was good, but lacked seasonings. The Salads (Wedge and House) were good. We were treated to a complimentary Piece of Flourless Chocolate cake to celebrate!!! The cake was good but Rich!!!!

Our food was fine. Not worth the $200+ we spent. I got the lobster and my husband got a steak. Reservations were at 6:30 and we didn't leave until after 9:00. And it was not due to us hanging out and drinking. It was because it would be 40 minutes before our server, Arthur W, came back to check on us. My husband waited with an empty wine glass for 37 minutes. Not an exaggeration. Plenty of tables around us came after in us and left before us. I will say, the young man plying the piano was very impressive and talented.

We were there for a large birthday party. Truly fine dining. The service was excellent, as was the food. Darker ambiance, but with tiny lights everywhere making it somewhat magical. Combined with the piano player, it was a unique experience. The portions are huge, so be prepared to take a "doggy bag" home. Everyone at the table said their entree was 'the best". The maitre d came around multiple times to make sure everyone at the table were happy with everything.

Sam's is an all around great place for food, service and ambiance! As you enter, staff are friendly and welcoming. You can walk in or make reservations. I recommend making reservations as it gets pretty crowded. I have walked in and eaten in the bar area which is my preference. Every time I have been here the food has been cooked to perfection! Sam's also has wide range of cocktails, beer and wine. I have been impressed with their wine list that pair well with their delicious steaks! The bartenders are knowledgeable and can recommend cocktails, wine and beer if you aren't sure or want to try something new. Sam's is the perfect place for a traditional steak and potatoes meal!

Attended a post holiday party for work on Friday January 2nd from 12 to 5pm. Open bar and for dinner choice of salmon, filet mignon, or ribeye with salad and large baked potato loaded or however you wanted it. 2nd time the company has had it there and both times excellent. Servers and bartenders were very efficient and polite. I hope they made a lot of money cause I and several of my coworkers were giving out twenties. The restaurant is always over decorated for Christmas but that seems to be a draw for returning customers. I have been there on other occasions and have thoroughly enjoyed every detail.

Well It was my Wedding Anniversary special dinner and my understanding wife let me take a few pix for this review. We thoroughly enjoyed this evening it was a night of great steak ,sides and complementary anniversary dessert. My wife had the 6oz. ribeye and I had the peppercorn steak medallions . We both had a baked potato with basic toppings butter and sour cream with chives. To compliment the food we had the house Chardonnay and Cabernet . The service was fantastic, Mitchell, our server was helpful in deciding what item had garlic in it. As you know garlic is a no-no for my wife. Our special dinner was cooked as desired very tender and steak flavorful. No overbearing flavors, just steak flavor. The baked potato was very large and soft , smooth and delicious. As a nice touch Sam's offered us a chocolate tort that was awesome tasting and very rich and and heavy on the chocolate. We enjoyed the night. We had a quiet romantic room almost to ourselves. The atmosphere is quiet, dark and if I would say a step back in time with background music with the "rat pack" in mind. You should absolutely treat yourself to a visit to Sam's Steakhouse at least once. It is pricey but expected especially for a special night to celebrate.

I enjoyed my first experience at Sam's Steakhouse. It was a journey, but it was worth the drive. We celebrated a friend's birthday and Scorpio season to the fullest. I had the lobster bisque to start, but felt a little misled by the menu and was expecting larger-sized lobster pieces on top of the bisque. We also had the crabcakes that tasted a bit undercooked. However, my friends loved the pork belly deviled eggs! My filet mignon was butterflied and tasted lovely, and the garlic mashed potatoes were whipped perfectly, thick, and DELICIOUS. My wedge salad was great and everyone enjoyed their steaks. The brandy peppercorn sauce was also very good. It looks and feels like an old 1990s traditional steakhouse and the staff were helpful and attentive.

Overall dinner was delicious. My Hubby got a steak and potato and I got chicken alfredo. We both got drinks and salads along with the shared sampler for 2. Our bill was 147$, 200$ after tip. For the ambiance, service and meal I would say it was worth it. I would definitely dine here again if it was for a special occasion. (Also, we have leftovers for another meal!).

What time is happy hour? It's not on the website but people talk about it. I never knew it existed?

    Best time to come?

Any special brunches that they offer... mother's Day, Easter, etc. I think the best time on weekends is to schedule early right after they open. They have live music later on Friday nights as well.
