Daryl is professional, on time, knows how to get your house back to normal. On top of that, he is reasonably priced, fast (but not rushed) and great to work with. One more thing to consider, how will the contractor you pick, work with the insurance company? My insurance adjuster quickly realized that Daryl knows the business and this decreased teh amount of negotiation/back and forth. Daryl made dealing with the insurance company so much easier for me.

I found him to be manipulative and unprofessional and, in my opinion, took advantage of my difficult personal circumstances. In Dec 2017, just weeks after losing my mom and sister and months after moving into my beautiful new home, I discovered a water leak that caused significant damage to my kitchen and multiple rooms. I initiated a claim with my insurance company, and began gathering quotes from three separate contractors -- one of whom was Darryl Huie. His initial demeanor was overly eager and persistent. Despite not being awarded the project, he repeatedly inserted himself into the process, including contacting my insurance adjuster without my consent, showing up to my property unannounced, and calling, emailing, and texting me constantly. I was grieving, overwhelmed, and traveling frequently for work and trying to get my family affairs in order, so I allowed limited access to my home strictly for estimation purposes. Not for any actual work. Darryl claimed that even if I didn't move forward with certain repairs, I was still obligated to pay him the entire labor amount my insurance company had awarded, even for work he wasn't doing. He warned me that I could be reported for insurance fraud if I didn't hand over all the funds to a licensed contractor (i.e., him). In my opinion, he used my inexperience with the insurance process to pressure and intimidate me, which I now see as taking advantage of my vulnerable situation. When I declined to move forward, he entered my home without permission while I was traveling and removed the granite countertop, then claimed it broke due to a "preexisting condition" which would have to be filed under a second claim. He later attempted to manipulate the situation by suggesting he could help get it covered under the initial claim if I gave him the job. I considered this a serious ethical violation and reported it to my insurer. When I returned home, I found my road bike missing from the garage and the broken granite left behind. I then received a $1,200 invoice for "services" for removal of the granite countertop, which I never approved. He eventually sued me in small claims court, falsely asserting we had a verbal agreement. Fortunately, I documented everything, and the judge dismissed the case. Years later, he resurfaced and sent me a disturbing message through Facebook filled with personal attacks, prompting me to finally share this experience. At the time, I didn't have the energy to speak up. I do now. After writing an honest review on Yelp, a man claiming to be his "friend, who happens to be a lawyer," began calling me at work, emailing my personal and work emails. I consider this behavior to be harassing, and I want no further contact. If you are considering working with this contractor, I strongly urge you to proceed with caution. This review is based entirely on my personal experience and supported by court records, insurance documentation, and extensive written communication.

Leo and his father make a great team! We contacted them to get a patch of concrete added to our…read moreyard and get a few trees removed in the process. They came out to inspect and quote the job on time. They weren't the cheapest but we could tell that they would do quality work. It took two days, just as they stated. Quickly taking out all the extra dirt and ground cover and setting up the form. They were meticulous in making sure we settled on the right design for the stress lines to coordinate with our existing concrete. The second day, the concrete was poured and everything was done...like magic! Now, we have a nice addition in the sunny part of our yard.

He had good ideas to help us out. He was always conscious of the cost and would let us know if our ideas would be over our budget. David was at the job site everyday and sometimes twice. Martin installed two layers of synthetic underlayment at a very reasonable price. Most providers either use one layer of the synthetic underlayment or two layers of the cheap tar paper. Martin was very professional, responsive, and was able to replace the entire roof within one week (he started on a Monday and was done by that Friday). In addition, one of my neighbors works in the construction industry and was observing Martin's work from his house. My neighbor came by my house afterwards and said that Martin did a great job. That gave me a little more assurance. I highly recommend Martin for your roof work, and he earned the 5 stars!

This is a poor and concerning reflection of the way he treats/pays his workers and when confronted, completely ignores and lies about returning the cash back to us. This poor and concerning reflection will also reflect within his client communication and business pursuits with those clients. Please stay away from this business and the owner of the business, Daniel. He is not trustworthy. If you find yourself shaking hands with him, make sure to count your fingers afterwards.

He came out to our office, measured the space and also explained in layman terms what would be required and done. After 8 bids from other licensed contractors, my company, Rok Hardware, ended up hiring United Restoration. They were the friendliest, most professional and best bid by far! We received an estimate quickly and all the documentation/insurances that our commercial business leasing office required. The best part, the job was done professionally, completed within 3 days and the project costed exactly what we were quoted, not a penny more! They knocked down some walls in our office/warehouse building, created a couple of openings to join rooms, fixed the celling to match the new open layout, and added all the finishing touches (re-textured/painted and drywalled all raw areas). I look forward to having them do a project for my home this summer. If they are good enough for PS Business Parks, they are good enough for your next project! I highly recommend them.

I gave the initial $1000 but he wanted $6000 to hold the date and then wanted $14,000 the day before demo started. The contract said when demo was completed. I held my ground but things were never completed fully but he would still want payment. His subs were telling me that they weren't being paid and that was the reason for the hold up. Don't do it!! I've heard more stories about his work from his subs but just based on my experience, I would never recommend him or use him again. Luckily, I had bought all of my materials and I was able to hire reliable people to finish the job.
