Has great pizza. The sauce is very spicy, and the crust is super tasty. Have been back several times. Only tasted a couple of other menu items and they were very good. It's a small venue inside the White Birch Inn. So service might be a little slow but super friendly!! read more

This is a nice cozy place with plenty of space. The tables are spacious with a focus on comfort rather then people craming which is a nice change up from the usual crowded dinning which is typical of most door county dinning establishments. The bar is retivliy small accommodating only abot 7 people. Despite its small size it boasts a impressive liquor selection as well as some craft beers. There is a small salad bar which is a little underwhelming but it would satisfy the basics.The crowd seems to be a mix of older and middle aged groups of 4-6 people. The menu has a generous amount of options that that seem like elevated takes on alot of door county favorites. So tonight I'm trying the half naked cheese curds, jumbo smoked wings in the pablono cherry BBQ sauce, the home made sea food chowder, and the cod dinner plate. The appetizers where amazing. The cheese curds where very good and the magic sauce was a real hit. The smoked jumbo wings where huge, but so juicy and savory. The pablono cherry BBQ sauce was a interesting twist that went well with the smokiness of the wings.The seafood chowder was spot on with a creamy rich base and great flavor, it honesty left me wanting more. The cod dinner was done simple but exceptionally well. Two large pieces of cod with a thin and crispy beer battering. My final thoughts, samuelson's is a nice cozy restaurant that offers delicious food. read more

Have now visited two times for dinner. There is no clear procedure when you enter the dining room, so there was several minutes of standing around while the servers ignored us. One decent entree we ordered was the Thanksgiving on a Bun (get it on the pretzel bun). But other food was disappointing and not very flavorful. We ordered Key Lime Pie for dessert which we had heard was a specialty. It had an artificially colored green that we thought might have come from a Jello product, and the pie was not easy to finish, even shared by three people. We stopped by Samuelsons Creek Grill on 5/15/2021 for dinner. They were busy, service took some time, but, wasn't slow enough to be a problem or dock them any points for us. The wait staff was very friendly, and gave us great service. The smoked prime rib was absolutely perfect. Was a great night out, and looking forward to going there again when i am in the area in the future. Others at the table got a rack of their smoked ribs. They were delicious, and tender, but, still had enough texture that they didnt just fall off the bone. (essentially, reminds me of the ribs you would get from a competition. Another table mate had their shrimp scampi, she enjoyed it, they used nice big jumbo shrimp. I had the onion soup, it would have been better if it was done with the bread and the cheese, but, honestly, the soup was very good and full of flavor. A couple of the people at the table had their Cream of Asparagus soup, and they enjoyed it very much, commenting that it tasted of asparagus, and wasnt too salty. Their onion rings were excellent, battered and full of flavor and crispy. Among the best i've had. We ate like kings, but, the bill was very reasonable. We left full and had leftovers to take back home. There are some pretty great options in the area, so its hard to pick a favorite. This is one of the contenders for sure. read more

Just finished an excellent meal in Sturgeon Bay. Excellent service, great beer list and great food. Had the swordfish with jerk mango sauce and a side of lobster claws. Food was delicious! Cozy atmosphere with bar. Connected to White Birch Inn, will stay overnight next time read more

We love this place. Family friendly knotty pine interior with old fashion salad bar. Go early and get a 2 for one well drink. We got them to customize a bourbon old fashioned and came back for more. Great burger with bacon jam! Also nice outside patio to sit among the trees. Can't wait to come back in the fall. read more

No BS the inside is basic and nothing fancy at all. But stay with it... the staff is friendly and feel like family . The food is also not fancy looking, but man is it good! Large portions and cooked perfectly. Lots of flavor and great price. I dont live close but would come again if i did read more

I went here not really expecting much but found the food and service to be great. I had the Three Little Pigs sandwich which consisted of thick cut ham, bbq pulled pork, and bacon jam on a soft light rye hoagie bun. The sandwich was really good. The flavor of the bacon jam was spot on. The home made soup was excellent. My son had a cheeseburger which he enjoyed. My wife had the grilled salmon which she said was cooked to perfection. Only complaint was they had one waitress for several tables. She was taking orders, making drinks, bringing food and checks. With this being said she did a fantastic job! Stopped here after a day of shopping and had a fantastic lunch. Outdoor area was a fun patio and the food was great. The sandwiches we had were made with fresh bread and came with pickles that tasted homemade. My daughter got the Philly cheesesteak with prime rib and it was to die for. I came with a group last weekend and was sadly disappointed. We had a group of 15 so I recognize that it would have put a strain on the staff, but that is no excuse for one of my friends being served completely raw chicken and the other getting the wrong meal. This neighborhood Gem is off the beaten path but worth the quick 5 minute drive to experience the friendly, local hospitality. The menu is simple, homestyle cooking. The place was busy when I arrived, full of Lions Club members, but I was served in the bar quickly, including a wide variety of domestic and specialty beers. We were so disappointed with this visit, don't know if we'll be back. The good first, reservations were made as advised by friends (Sat night). We had four in our party. Seated right away, I know staffing is a problem all over, but the three servers working seem to take care of four tables each and ours seemed overwhelmed. Not real busy but steady. From here it went down hill fast. We were told by our friends the Smoked Prime Rib was out of this world, Ribs were supposedly very good. I wish I could tell you they were, but sorry. Our frazzled server took our drink order, then took ten minutes to get them to us. Instead of ladies first, she started with me. I asked for the Queen Prime Rib, sorry, it's not available today. What... Your special and not available. Not sold out, just not being served. OK, i ordered the Smoked New York Strip, med rare. It was good but not up to the hype. Wife ordered Ribs. Again, not being served. What, again. So she ordered Brisket. She did say it was just ok, a little chewy. Another friend ordered Broasted Chicken, strike three, not being served. She also ordered the Strip Steak. Last friend ordered a Mushroom Swiss Burger. How can you screw that up? They did. Came without cheese and the Mushrooms were cut in half, not sliced. If your out of something or not serving it, put something on the entrance or menu. At the least, the server should have informed us before we wasted our time looking at the menu. The salad bar is just average. The choice of dressings were not the greatest. The ladies had the Beef Barley soup and did say delicious. I know I said may not be back, but some regular customers told us try the Friday Fish Fry. So next time up there, may try it.. Let you know.. read more

Tonight after seeing there page on Instagram, I decide to give this local restaurant a try after eating there 25 years ago. The restaurant did have a pleasant atmosphere, the place is well decorated and clean. That's the good part...however: The food...hmmm not so good! My hamburger was rather tasteless, cold and overpriced, ($12.95), french fries were cold, and tasteless as well! The best part of the meal was the slices of dill pickle garnish...very good! The service...slow! The place wasn't very busy yesterday (1/12/18), and waited a good 15+ minutes for a simple hamburger, 10-15 minutes to get my food bill...even though the 2 waitresses working appeared quite busy. After I paid my food bill, on my way out the door I see the 2 owner(s) sitting in front of their office computer keeping up their what appeared to be their Facebook page while their customers waited...! I'm giving them 1 star due to the clean, and friendly atmostphere. Do yourself a favor and go to McD's for a burger and french fries with better flavor and service...and 10 bucks cheaper. I'll visit them again in 25 years, if their still in business... otherwise I'll avoid this place like the plague! read more

Had dinner last night and it was the worst we have ever had in Door County. Everything is cooked and held in advance, Roast beef was cold and tough even though it was ordered medium rare. Entrees arrived even before we got back from the salad bar. Sent the roast beef back since it was cold came back in one minute and the waitress said it placed in au jus. Ribs were tough and dry. An appetizer of pretzel bites was cold and tough. Chef walked around the not crowded restaurant and just strolled around. No questions about how your meal was. Not worth the stop. The waitress was new and very nice. Beer selections were only half available.Don't waste your time and money read more

We found the restaurant to have a pleasant atmosphere and good food. Very clean which is important to us. The staff was attentive and friendly. I'm not sure what there Inn portion is like as we only had dinner there but I will say the lobby was well decorated and looked inviting. read more
