I had the Three Little Pigs sandwich which consisted of thick cut ham, bbq pulled pork, and bacon jam on a soft light rye hoagie bun.

Generously prepared, great seasoning and with the right temperature. The fries are sprinkled with cinnamon which was a first for me. The sweet potato fries were a little soggy but not bad. The cherry hard cider was fizzy and refreshing, It looks like the restaurant used to be a fire house. To me, it's like if the Hot House (Menomonee Falls) and Mission BBQ had a baby. Our server was excellent. She took very good care of us. On a quiet afternoon, we were sat by the bar, by a group that was very loud. We would have preferred a different table.

No drinks, no "we will be with you shortly" or anything. We just sat there. Finally a server came over and said they had a big group come in and it was causing some backup and the host should have told us; he didn't. The drinks and appetizer came quickly and the street corner appetizer was very good; I would order it again. Once the appetizer was finished we sat with empty glasses for a good while. Again, no communication. Once the food arrived, things got much better. Wraps were good, not great. My daughter's pizza was good. With all the restaurants in the area, they will need to up their game on service.

We dropped by for a late lunch /afternoon snack and ordered the cheese curds and tacos. Both were fresh and flavorful! We spent the afternoon by the water and came back for dinner and ordered the grilled salmon with fries and the cherry pie. The salmon was perfectly cooked, and the flavors were excellent. One of the coolest parts about this place (and Door County in general) is that most of the servers are international seasonal workers. They brought such a great, energetic, and friendly vibe to our dining experience! The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating right by the water. Giving it 4 stars because there is definitely room for improvement regarding service pacing and menu clarity: Time your dessert order: The restaurant was busy, so I placed my dessert order along with my dinner. Unfortunately, the hot cherry pie was brought out before we finished our main course, so the ice cream had melted significantly by the time we were ready for it. Taco Fixings: Just a heads-up that the tacos come with meat only by default. It was tasty, but I really wish it had come with some standard toppings or fixings. The Fish Boil sells out fast: They host a fish boil right by the lake, but you absolutely need to reserve well in advance. We tried to book it on Tuesday afternoon right after checking into our hotel, and it was already completely sold out for the night.

I really think it was made the night before. Dry and greasy. Left such a bad taste we went to Kitty O'Reilly's Irish pub and had the best Fish n Chips so I know Sturgeon Bay has good fish. I won't be back to Waterfront Mary's.

Upon arrival we could see that the hostess or floor manager I am not sure which position she held was a little snappy and a little under pressure which of course is not the best way to start dinner. Upon sitting down after about a 20 minute wait we opened up our napkins and noticed that there was a hair and some dried or crusty food on a few of our napkins. The salt shakers look like they haven't been replaced since the creation of the facility however if I digress the food was very good and after being seated we waited for about 15 to 20 minutes before a server came to us but she was phenomenal once she took our table. We would try them again but I hope from a hygiene perspective they take a little bit more pride in cleaning the utensils and amenities throughout the restaurant

Seeing the ad coincided nicely with a planned Door County wedding anniversary day trip for my wife and I. It seems every time we visit Door County we are always traveling the west side of the peninsula. Mr. G's is on the east side and right on Hwy 57. This worked nicely in forcing us to drive south from Sister Bay with a focus on hitting Mr. G's. This place is definitely an old school Wisconsin supper club. Pretty certain the building hasn't had a full remodel in years and why would you when you have that classic look going on. Retro is coming back. So what makes a supper club. Sitting at the bar having an old fashioned or two. A cheese & cracker tray and in this case chips/salsa as well. A pre meal salad bar of course is a must for a true supper club. For our entrees we went with the full rack of ribs and the ribeye. My wifes steak was prepared just as ordered and had a hint of buttery goodness with each bite. They boast award winning ribs. They were fall off the bone tender with excellent flavor. The ribs come with two sauce choices (cherry flavor & original). I went with the classic and was pleased with the spice. My wife also ordered her entree with the potato pancakes which is not something always offered as an option. Our waitress Jean was attentive throughout and offered excellent input on the history of the restaurant and what to order. We had an excellent experience and may have to consider visiting the east side of the peninsula more often.

If there is a line of a dozen or more standing in line, plan on returning at 5:30 pm, or perhaps every half hour as the first in line get welcomed and seated first. Don't be upset if you press for seating even if the restaurant is half empty. We're puzzled as to why the restaurant doesn't take reservations, as there is a staff shortage in kitchen and wait staff. There is a permanent help wanted sign in its window. Perhaps taking reservations and guaranteeing showing up by taking a credit card first might help with greeting and accommodating the limited number of tables this restaurant can handle courteously and politely. If you do miss the first seating, don't be offended if the host/ hostess doesn't suggest waiting at the bar and enjoying a cocktail or glass of wine while you wait for your later seating. Be proactive and ask for permission to sit at the bar. Don't be offended if the bartender is curt and impatient. It's difficult to keep a good efficient staff. We're not sure if the food is good. As we were treated rudely upon entering, and they'd reached their initial seating capacity, our questions were answered impatiently and coldly. We did leave our name to return after 35 minutes. We left the restaurant and stood outside to reassess the situation. We decided it wasn't worth the attitude. So we crossed the street and had a welcoming and delicious dinner with drinks and desserts at Crate which we highly recommend. If you are familiar with the Seinfeld TV series, visiting Trattoria Dal Santo is very much like encountering the Soup Nazi. Proceed at your own risk
